Hello, I work from home using ethernet directly into the modem (hard wired) and have been having several intermittent connectivity issues. System stall, and the modem losses internet connection. My work tech support says it's my provider. My internet provider says it's my modem. What is the life of a modem? I think mine is about 4 years old. And, what are the signs /symptoms that indicate my modem is going bad?

Only green power light. Factory reset does nothing. No flashing lights. No reboot. Nothing. Plugged in for several minutes. New modem. Lights were working. Did a factory reset. Now nothing but "I'm plugged in".

My internet is not working. Xfinity tried to help reboot but not successful. They said the problem may be the modem and I need to contact them but there is no phone number anywhere??

I have talked to Cox Tech support twice, they did everything on their end to setup the SB8200. They sent rests to the modem 5 separate times and I unplugged it everytime, the modem does not respond. All the lights go green and only one eventually turns solid blue….absolutley nothing else happens after at least 1.5 hourse on the phone with Cox Tech support. I need this unit replaced.

Why is there no phone number to call????

We as a company have been using the CM820B Cable modem. (240 volt internal PSU) We now want to purchase 100 * CM3200B Devices. 12 volt external PSU. Cannot find specs for the DC power connector. We need a “Brick” type PSU 12 volt @ 2 Amp - 2.1 * 5. 5 mm connector does not fit (5.5 to big) Measured supplied PSU connector @ 1.1 * 5.1mm. Anyone know a “brick” PSU that will work or can confirm the actual size of the connector on the CM3200B

I cant find a clear answer on versions for SB8200. Other questions have been asked but no clear answer. Need v3 as preferred for Spectrum. And am I correct that there is no way to contact Arris support unless you pay for the support tier? Thanks !

I have Xfinity and my normal speeds are about 700mb. However, every few days my speed slows down to 3mb and I have to boot the SB8200 to get the speeds back up. All front lights always stay green even if there is a provider issue.??? Today no internet with all lights green, reboot the Aris and internet is back.???

Does Arris have a phone number to contact their support?

Hi, we just got the Modem S33 with Mesh. We did a walkthrough with Xfinity to activate our Modem. They stated on their end that, it is showing we have service. We have a solid blue light, but when try to connect our devices it say connected but with no Internet. Please Help!!

I’m not able to connect my new SB8200 to my laptop to activate it. The top light is green, the 2nd one is blue and the other 2 stay green (it should be white - blue - blue -white). I’ve restarted it multiple times and also used the reset button but nothing changes. I can reconnect my old SB6190 using the exact same connections and it works fine. Any suggestions?

I just purchased the Arris Surfboard SB8200 modem. Comcast has already registered and configured on their end. I have two ports on the modem, I have one port direct connected to my wife’s work computer that has an IP address. The other port is to my router for WiFi which is not getting an IP address for it. I was informed to call ARRIS to configure the new modem. I’m waiting on hold for a support rep now. Figure I can get some answers/help from the community.

Hi, I’m having trouble connecting a Simplisafe base station to my Wi-Fi and they said it might be due to being on the wrong bandwidth. I checked with Xfinity and they couldn’t help me since it’s not their equipment. The other things SS said was that their equipment wouldn’t work if we are using VPN. I explained to them that I have several devices from different manufacturers all connected to the Internet...no problem. Would bandwidth and VPN be a problem?

My SB8200 does get Internet and is working but my Google nest router doesn't seem to get anything from it so I can't learn in my nest router

If I install new sb8200 cable modem, who changes the login password to modem when done? does the cable company do that or do i changed it from default?

This has been a very frustrating experience. For several months I’ve had slow internet speeds and I’ve called both Arris and Comcast and both companies blame the other. I finally got a comcast tech to come out and he says that there is nothing wrong with the signal coming into my home. So now I am back to looking for support from Arris. This modem is less than 1 year old. I pay for 1.2 gigabits but I consistently less than 400. Comcast assures me the issue is related to my modem. I would appreciate any help in resolving the issue. From what I’ve been able to figure out, the Arris S33 is compatible with Xfinity up to 2gbs. Is my device faulty?

Wi-Fi goes off at night unplug the system plug back in dosent come back

I am currently using a 3 yr old SB6190 modem with AC1300 Linksys mesh routers(3). Over the last 8 months, I’ve been experiencing intermittent internet loss lasting from 15 sec to 5 minutes. These occurrences are most notable when streaming music through SONOS or viewing videos on YouTube, and also while on the internet using my iPhone. The modem is DOCSIS 3.0. I talked to xFinity and all is good on their end(according to them). After investigating, I understand that the problem MAY lie in the fact that xFinity has switched to DOCSIS 3.1. Would the switch cause constant internet interruptions? I’m trying to understand whether it’s the modem or the routers that are causing these issues.
