had a zfinity technician rule out the splitter, coax cable, and ethernet cable a possible cause, down to being the modem itself causing the problem. what could be the reason for this failure. also i am hard wired to it (no router in between). could it be a hardware failure on the inside of the pcb board? if so which component that i may de sauder and re sauder.

can I port forward with a sb8200 router? if so how?

Just bought a brand new sb8200. Came with 2 Ethernet ports but when I try to use both only 1 works??

I recently upgrade my xifnity plan to 2Gig with the Xfi router, it was 1900mbps for downloading and 45mbps for uploading. I replaced the Xfi Gateway with the newest S33V2 surfboard and the speed drops to only 700mbps with direct internet connection and 5mbps for uploading. I have a tech from xfinity do the test, the Xfi Gateway can run full of 2000mbps but the S33V2 cannot. The tech suggested me to contact the Arris customer suport for a solution. He thought there might be a issue with the Arris cable modem since the speed is only 700mbps. Best

My provider Mediacom has provisioned my new SB8200 but it has only the 1 blue download light lit, shouldnt all lights be on?? Also I can not connect to my netgear gigabit switch …..

I cannot log into my S33 for the first time. Using admin for the user name and password for the password. Even tried using the last eight digits of the serial number. Thanks in advance.

I just purchased this modem yesterday. What is the maximum number of characters when changing the default password for the Arris Web Manager website to something unique? I successfully changed this to a 16 character password (documented in Last Pass) and the website confirmed my new password as having been applied. When I now try to login with my new password, I can only enter the first 15 characters in the field and thus cannot login. What gives? If the 16th character was silently ignored during new password creation, then the first 15 characters should suffice but it’s a no go with just the first 15.

I am trying to connect my T-mobile cell spot and it says I need to open Ports 500, 123 & 4500. How do i do this? I have the Arris SB8200.

I have Xfinity Internet with mobile. S33 Modem with Asus ZenWiFi AX6600 mesh routers (3 ea). I think around the time I installed this setup from the Xfinity modem/router setup, I lost the ability to send and receive text messages with pictures via SMS. Don’t know how to find that ability to correct that. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Our Internet speed of 200 Mbps has been dropping recently even after virtual resets by Internet provider and physical resetting modem and router by me. Internet is now routinely popping up and stating "Unstable Connection". Everything looks fine according to our internet provider, so not sure what is causing the drops in service. Could this be my modem? It's at least nine years old, but I'm not sure how to problem solve possible modem issues. My Netgear Nighthawk router is virtually new and similar ratings as the last one that died on me not long ago.

My SB6183 dropped offline in the middle of the workday today. Xfinity says my signal is strong but the modem is offline. I’ve rebooted it several times, and they tried to from their end. Anything I can do to get this back online? Thanks

My provider uses Xfinity and they say that the modem has issues on their end they say it is connecting and then drops it over and over...the modem is pretty much brand new...I refuse to believe it is unable to push the small town providers 1 gig speeds I know it's not the WiFi router cuz Ethernet from modem straight to my laptop is still not connecting...anyone know what my issue may be? And yes it's been provisioned to the provider this issue just started tonight

How can i enable Bridge Mode on my SB8200 on my PC and not my phone? I have sb8200 with COX in Phoenix, and I have exactly same thing happening, started about 2 month ago and it would drop to 30 mbps every week or so, cox came out checked the line and said it was good.

Was working for a few weeks, then started to have trouble connecting and makes a high pitch swuealing noise before connecting. Yesterday it took about 30 minutes to connect after power outage. Today we rearranged and unplugged it for a while. Now it wont connect at all. The light is solid amber except every 8 seconds it turns green for one second then back to amber. The whine is constant.

I’ve lost internet at my home and working with my cox provider we did a hard reset on our arris touchstone cm8200. They needed the network password and network id that should have been on the modem but it is not. How do i find that information?

My modem will not provide internet access to either of the two Wi-Fi routers I have tried. The lan cable works with my ps5 so I know internet is coming to the modem. I have netgear routers. I have reset all of them and turned off and turned on all of them. Any other ideas?

Hi everyone, I have a brand new Arris S33 on Cox Hampton Roads VA Beyond Fast internet Tier 2g down/100mbps up speed package. It is connected to also a brand new Orbi Mesh RBR60 with one additional satellite. Wan cable between the modem/router is connected to the Arris 2.5gb port of course. My speeds tests average around 2300gbps down and 100up consistently 98% percent of the time and all my devices throughout the house apple TV’s, cams, etc work great no buffering. The coax running to the house( RG-11) by Cox are relatively new from the pedestal to the demark and from there to the modem(New RG 6)and great signal readings have been verified by both senior Cox field techs and their supervisors and maintenance and headend techs have indicated everything looks perfect ayt every connection point(I used to work for Cox in tech support and still have some contacts fortunately in field services:) It is also a straight coax run all the way from the street, no splitters, amps etc as we only hav

I just recently purchased the SB8200 because the modem that i was renting through the provider would never let me get more than 350mbps download and 55 upload and that's on a good day, when im paying for 1GB service. I live in a town that is fairly small and almost an hour from any bigger cities. When I started my plan through them they put new cable all the way out to the power line. So I know there's no problems with the line at least that has been found. I am also renting EERO devices for an additional 16$ a month just so i can manage who is on my network and set time limits for the kiddos otherwise I would not be able to receive/modify any of my network settings right?. I feel as if my provider is lying to me that 1GB service is supported in my area. Every tech that has came out makes up a new excuse each time and they always say that the speed looks good on there end but it could be my devices or some other excuse.
