I have a new arris SB8200 and xfinity. I attempted activating through the xfinity app but it said it could not connect to device. The power, send, and internet lights were solid green and receive light was solid blue. I got on xfinity chat and they had me do a bunch of stuff but always ended with same configuration of lights. When plugging in router, was showing no internet. I tried going to the IP address on my laptop but no luck. My laptop does not have an Ethernet port so I don’t have the option to plug directly into modem. When I went back to my old modem, everything worked fine. Trying to figure out next steps before I return this modem.

How do I initiative a warranty claim? The unit no longer has power after about 7 months of usage. Tried troubleshooting and nothing is working.
I need help, I bought the arris sb8200 cable modem. C spire fiber optic will be installed soon. Did I buy the wrong product? If so what do I need to connect to fiber from c spire?
This is a very basic question. I had stored my S33 when moving and the power cord that was near it (however not sure which power cord is correct), is branded as APD model # W8-18R12FU (asian power devices). Was this the one that came with the unit?
I loggined in to the default gateway and was not able to find MTU. I was not able to change MTU on my Arris SVG2482AC router. Please advise. Thank you in advance!
How do ensure I have the latest firmware running on S33 hardware v1.0? I purchased my modem and I use it with RCN/Astound Broadband as my ISP. I don’t see an option to update firmware in the web portal.I show “TB01.01.001.13_082420_192.S3” as the firmware version. Please advise.
Suddenly surfboard 8200 receive light blinking other two not lit at all. no internet outage in our area, have reset modem a few times. is 3 1/2 years it’s life expectancy.
My SB6190 stopped working 7-18-23, after only 7 months. I called ARRIS support, they said the modem was in warranty. We troubleshooted the modem for about 30-40 minutes. I didn't have a hard wire to connect my computer to so the ARRIS rep said he would call back at 7pm on Wednesday. In the meantime I troubleshooted the modem again with Spectrum. Spectrum could tell that there was noise that was coming into the Modem causing it to drop, however outbound transmission was clear. I did hardwire on Wednesday while waiting for the ARRIS rep. Same outcome, it would connect, then drop. When I didn’t hear from the rep, I went to Spectrum to get a modem as it was critical I had connection as I work from home. Today (7-22-2023) I called Arris again. The rep wanted to walkthrough the entire troubleshooting process AGAIN. I said I was not disconnecting my hardware because I already wasted 2 hrs between them and Spectrum. I asked for a refund and she stated their policy is that they don't provide r
Don't have a wifi can anyone help me with that? Thanks
My SB8200 will not power up. The 4 lights on the back at the ethernet ports come on. None of the lights on the front work. I have tried moving to multiple different outlets and there are no changes.
Last night our modem suddenly stopped working. The modem has sat near the coax cable at a computer desk. We haven’t moved it in almost a year. I spent 2 hours on the phone with our provider troubleshooting and running diagnostics. Xfinity told me that we’ll need to buy a new modem. This is frustrating because I bought the Arris SB8200 around this time last year and had an xfinity technician come out and confirm the configuration. I assumed these modems should las for more than a year. What are we supposed to do if the provider is telling us the modem is broken? I made the investment in the Arris modem so that I wouldn’t waste money renting one from our service provider. Now we’re worried that we don’t have a choice and don’t want to waste more money purchasing another modem. What do you suggest we do?
Is the S33 compatible with google nest wifi pro 6E?
How would I change my dynamic IP on the sb6190
Woke up this morning with no internet. We lost power briefly in the middle of the night. I went down to check and the router had no power. I unplugged it and waited about 5 minutes and plugged it back in and it still did not work. The ethernet port in the back still has the great green light on however, but i nothing else seems to be turning on.
I am a tad green with this topic. What is the fix to the message on my MacBook Pro when I try to connect via an ethernet cable that says, “Display Ethernet has a self-assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the Internet.” I am able to connect all my devices (2 computers, 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, to the wifi Eero Pro which is connect to the Arris sb8200, yet I am not able to connect via ethernet cable. any help would be greatly appreciated.
