Wi-Fi Modems

The Surfboard Central app has recommendation for network health.  It indicatess some devices are connected with a low signal strength.  Some listed devices are hardwired via ethernet cable.  How can they havee a low signal strehgth??

Trying to connect WiFi to my computer and is asking for WPA2 enterprise credentialsusernamepassword

I have a flashing blue light and a solid green wifi light on SBG8300. What does that mean abd how do I fix it? I already recycled power a few times, used reset button a few times, and replaced coax cable. Also called ISP and they said no problems on their end.

Xfinity said our Arris modem is only pushing out 800 mbps.  Our back video camera fails based on the strength of the signal from the modem.  Xfinity suggests we need a modem that can push out the 1100 mbps.  Tested the video strength on the back camera which is 70 as compared to the front camera which is 84.  Would appreciate keeping the Arris, we have been happy with our current unit.  Our current Arris unit is SBG7400AC2 Thanks

My G34 gateway was rebooting a few times per week.  Arris replaced the G34 and the problem persisted.  I was also getting pixelation on my TV screen.Comcast detected a problem with my line and sent out a tech.  The tech also saw some unusual errors on my line.  The tech installed a MOCA filter on the coax line coming into my house.  Since the filter was installed my Gateway has been stable for over 3 weeks and the TV picture is better.If you are having problems with your Arris gateway rebooting randomly then I suggest you get a MOCA filter installed.  

My SGB10 modem is connecting to all my devices except my Chromebook book. My Chromebook keeps saying the network is out of range but the modem is only 4ft away from the Chromebook. I have Xfinity Wi-Fi, my fire stick, Roku and phone are all able to connect to the Wi-Fi. I bought a USB wireless adapter that goes up to 6g but still the Chromebook will not connect.

The doorbell camera will not connect to wifi.  I need help configuring my Arris Surfboard SBG7600AC2 to work with Eufy Doorbell Camera.  I have done extensive research to make sure all other potential issues are handled.  In my research, I found specific guidance for configuring my router, however, after reviewing the Admin screens I can’t figure out how to apply the configuration details.  Here is what’s recommended: Temporarily disable the firewall settings on your router and ensure the following ports are allowed:TCP: 80, 443 UDP: 0-65535 Add the following P2P Hole Punching server IPs to your router's allowlist:34.235.4.153 18.223.127.200 54.153.101.7

I have a G36 Modem/Router. About a month or so ago, the front light on it went out.I still have access to WIFI. Should I be concerned? I also have 3 decco 6e mesh units inline.Thank you, Brian

I just bought my G34 off of Amazon. Got it set up and opened the website to establish my network. It took me to registration and then said its already registered? 🤔 and the 800# that the page gave to call for support then hangs up on me! 😠 Not a good way to start a relationship when I just decided to move to your company after Netgear send EOL notice for my last modem/router. So how do I get my purchase registered? ❓

How do I go about changing the network name and password on my new G34? I’m connected and have logged in to the site, but don’t see where to make those changes?

How do I connect a wifi extender to my G34? There is no WPS button 

My G34 GUI device list shows many devices which Windows 10 nmap shows are currently down, and at least one currently nmap up device doesn’t show.  How does the G34 assemble its device list?  Can I improve it?

No internet- Solid blue lights for online & WiFi. ISP came to house confirmed strong signals on all lines. I Factory reset the modem and lights never changed. Plugged into different outlet, same. Can not connect to internet, any assistance would be appreciated :) 

Modem has strong  signal but still not connecting. Cable company checked all wires and inputs and signal is strong. Blue stable light on for online & WiFi. Cable company also did factory reset, still not connecting to internet. Please help so I can trouble shoot as I work from home. thank you 

I PURCHASED MY OWN MODEM FOR XFINITY, ARRIS MODEM MODEL# SBG7400AC2. IT HAS BEEN WORKING ALL THIS TIME, NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN ITS NOT CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET. I CONTACTED XFINITY, THEY STATED THAT I HAVE A STRONG SIGNAL, BUT THERE IS NO INTERNET CONNECTION. IM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW DO I FIX THIS WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY AN ARM AND A LEG.

Repost:Recently changed out my modem/router setup from the provider supplied (spectrum) to a G54. I had some issues with smart devices and had to split the bands for connectivity. Now though I’m having issues I did not previously have with my provider. Online games are choppy and sporadic and even scrolling instagram it will just not load. My question is, are there particular settings that could be affecting this? Router is probably 15 feet from Xbox that is having streaming issues. I never had these issues with the one from my internet provider   Internet provider is spectrum with a 600 gbps plan.  

I currently run a SBG8300, and I wanted to add some more range to my network.  I purchased a combo that come with an A21 and W11.  I tried using the app, but when I go through all the screens to log in after saying I’m already activated, I get an error code of 0000-1612.  Any way I can get around this?I can connect to the modem with a desktop using the 192.168 etc, but I can’t find anywhere to add the A21.  

This is from my Surfboard Central App(Edited personal information)I entered the exact credentials as shown in the WEBGUI  Login Credentials image.  And this is my my Web Portal's response.   I'm useing Win 11 and Chrome, but I also tried M.S.  Edge and got the same response.So What do I do now.  P.S.  I hate using phone apps.  The print  is too small and it's too easy to fat finger the keys.  

I'm trying to set up this Surfboard Modem/Router - I got it activated and am on the internet. I go through the setup process in Surfboard Central and get to the registration part (meaning I logged into the internet, connected my SSID, and then the next step), I get the above error. If I troubleshoot, it tells me to relaunch the app and try again, then to restart the gateway and try again. I’ve done all of these many times at this point and get the same issue at the same point over and over. It tells me to call support… I have called the number a dozen times and it disconnected right away - nobody even picks up even though I’m in the support period. I can’t register the device to access what I’m sure is a warranty of some kind to be able to access live chat support. Like… it should NOT be this hard and I should be able to talk to someone to be able to access the device I now own. It’s not like this was cheap.  The only thing I can think is that when you la

The WPA3 security setting is incompatible with my Sleep Number bed, making it impossible to establish a wifi connection.  I try to log in to 192.168.0.1 so I can change it to WPA2, and it tries to redirect to a secure site but then fails.  Does anyone know how to get around this?

Yes i am having an issue accessing one certain website. I was able to access it last week no issues, and over the weekend something must have changed because it only gives a ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. I have tried multiple browsers/computers/Ethernet and wifi/flushed dns/releaseandrenew ip.The only time i can get access it from home is then i am on my phones 5g, as soon as i switch over to  my network i can no longer access it. I have called my ISP and they said they can not help because it is not there equipment, and this issue has to be with the Modem and company

I had asked about a problem with the site certificate was insecure.“we could not verify the certificate: reason = untrusted”So I final went back to look at my problem.Solution was in Internet options, trusted sites“Require server verification (https:) for all sites” box unchecked and problem solved.I love MS’s buried controls (not).
