Wi-Fi Modems

I currently run a SBG8300, and I wanted to add some more range to my network. I purchased a combo that come with an A21 and W11. I tried using the app, but when I go through all the screens to log in after saying I’m already activated, I get an error code of 0000-1612. Any way I can get around this? I can connect to the modem with a desktop using the 192.168 etc, but I can’t find anywhere to add the A21.

This is from my Surfboard Central App (Edited personal information) I entered the exact credentials as shown in the WEBGUI Login Credentials image. And this is my my Web Portal's response. I'm useing Win 11 and Chrome, but I also tried M.S. Edge and got the same response. So What do I do now. P.S. I hate using phone apps. The print is too small and it's too easy to fat finger the keys.

I'm trying to set up this Surfboard Modem/Router - I got it activated and am on the internet. I go through the setup process in Surfboard Central and get to the registration part (meaning I logged into the internet, connected my SSID, and then the next step), I get the above error. If I troubleshoot, it tells me to relaunch the app and try again, then to restart the gateway and try again. I’ve done all of these many times at this point and get the same issue at the same point over and over. It tells me to call support… I have called the number a dozen times and it disconnected right away - nobody even picks up even though I’m in the support period. I can’t register the device to access what I’m sure is a warranty of some kind to be able to access live chat support. Like… it should NOT be this hard and I should be able to talk to someone to be able to access the device I now own. It’s not like this was cheap. The WPA3 security setting is incompatible with my Sleep Number bed, making it impossible to establish a wifi connection. I try to log in to 192.168.0.1 so I can change it to WPA2, and it tries to redirect to a secure site but then fails. Does anyone know how to get around this?

Yes i am having an issue accessing one certain website. I was able to access it last week no issues, and over the weekend something must have changed because it only gives a ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. I have tried multiple browsers/computers/Ethernet and wifi/flushed dns/releaseandrenew ip. The only time i can get access it from home is then i am on my phones 5g, as soon as i switch over to my network i can no longer access it. I have called my ISP and they said they can not help because it is not there equipment, and this issue has to be with the Modem and company

I had asked about a problem with the site certificate was insecure. “we could not verify the certificate: reason = untrusted” So I final went back to look at my problem. Solution was in Internet options, trusted sites “Require server verification (https:) for all sites” box unchecked and problem solved. I love MS’s buried controls (not).

I have an Arris G34 modem. The problem is that I have some Cinnado security cameras that only connect to a 2.4 GHz network. I received three cameras, but I’ve only been able to connect one. I’ve already tried all the possible methods, but the other two won’t connect. I also verified that the cameras are working fine — I used my phone as a hotspot, and they connected there without any problem. So the issue seems to be with my modem’s connection.

is it possible to get a firmware update for this modem?

Need help getting my modem up in running because it won’t get past the login portion

HFC MAC ID on a Brand new SBG7400AC2 modem is not recognized.

We've had the G34 for about four days. We upgraded to this one because it's not too expensive but it does have parental controls. I was able to label devices and set up a few profiles, but now all it does most of the time is load. Every once in a while it lets me toggle the buttons to pause the Internet but it won't pause Internet to anything in the house. The app seems so useless. I wish there was a website where I could use the parental controls. Are we missing something on the app? I've force stopped it. I cleared the cache. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Nothing has worked.

I raced home. I had ten minutes of pushing live chat. Live chat was open. Kept pushing while nothing happened for ten minutes. Now it’s closed and I still don’t have WiFi for my dogs automatic feeder. Needed set up help. This garbage is going back tomorrow. I don’t have time for their nonsense. I work 13 hours on eastern time. They should have put that on the listing. Not convenient for eastern customers. I’m already over it.

I’m looking for a combo modem and router to replace an ARRIS TG1672G that I have from Spectrum. They say I need to upgrade my equipment but no longer offer any combo devices. I need the combo due to very limited space on my desk. My Ooma Telo currently connects directly to the TG1672G with a ribbon style ethernet cable. I’ve looked at the G18, G20 and G34 “Wi-Fi Cable Modems” on the surfboard website but under “Digital Voice Service Capability” they all say “NO”. I interpret this as meaning I couldn’t use the Ooma Telo with any of them. Am I correct or just misunderstanding the terminology? I believe Ooma Telo varies from other VoIP services like Spectrum’s own service, I certainly don’t understand the technical aspects of either. If a moderator or other in the know person could clarify this for me it will be very much appreciated. Thank You!

I believe I have all of the settings correct on the G34. I have the internet paused but the Chromebook is still connected to the internet. The device also sporadically sees or doesn’t see devices. The modem was reset. Most concerned about pausing the internet since that is one of the reasons I purchased this device.

How to check security key on wireless router and check if IP is set correctly in IP settings?

If the G54 DNS Relay selection is disabled, and the Statically Configured option is selected, the setup is ignored and Obtained Automatically is returned. While this would seem like it is the correct option in the first place, it results in no DNS service no matter what LAN DNS option is selected. What is this LAN DNS option supposed to do, and how should it be set up? Before Save: After Save:

I have a web server on my local windows system. I access it using a special port number. This port number is forwarded within the G54 to the standard 443 port. The web site can be successfully browsed from any system, however not from the web server system itself. I believe this is caused by the DNS Relay feature built into the G54, which seems to shortcut the port forwarding mechanism. Unfortunately, the DNS Relay feature does not seem to be able to be disabled, so I can’t verify this...

How do you activate mobile app for G34. Very difficult app to navigate

First of all I can not get the App to work what so ever so I was trying to log into the Web Manager to change network name and password. I am able to connect to the Wi-fi with the default network name and password but want to change it. When I try to log in Web Manager, I use the username: admin and the password that is the default password on the sticker. I also just tried the work password as my password since that is what it says in the little book that came with it. Every time I get invalid login credentials. What am I missing here?

On one end of my house, the farthest from the modem/router the signal strength is low. Can I use any of the Arris mesh systems with the SBG7600AC2 to improve the signal strength?

I am receiving a massive number of “Correctable Codewords”, billions in short time period. Additionally IPv6 is unable to successfully negotiate. It would appear that there is no way to completely shut down the IPv6, but I believe that is a secondary issue. My ISP is Sparklight. I’ve contacted them numerous times over the past few weeks, however since I own this modem, they claim that they can’t help, even though they point out that they do see some packet loss. The only thing they seem to be able to do is verify or perform a firmware upgrade. (I’m not sure how they are allowed that but can’t do anything else). Sparklight had previously replaced the cable between the pole and my house, and adjusted signal levels. I finally got them to send a Sr. tech out this afternoon but not holding my breath on a fix. It’s a little disappointing that this modem, after being on Sparklight’s recommended list and only being a couple of months old is having such problems with connection. Is it Sparkligh
