Wi-Fi Modems

As of today, my G54 gateway has firmware “AC01.02.012_022625_G5X.04.20.122”I called my ISP (Breezeline) and asked if they could tell me the latest firmware for my G54, and if different than what I have stated above, push it onto my G54. They said, they’re unable to find the latest firmware, and can push the latest firmware only for their rented routers, NOT for customer owned.Then I called Arris CS and the CSR confirmed with the tech support team, that the latest firmware for G54 does NOT get published, and is unknown to the tech support :)Strange! Why couldn’t ARRIS publish the latest firmware version on their Community board, or provide it to their tech support/CS teams.BTW, does anyone here know the release date/month of my below firmware?“AC01.02.012_022625_G5X.04.20.122”

I plugged in my surfboard for the first time called the cable company and I have not Internet

I'm trying to setup my parents wifi extender but I cannot get into the web interface.I tried to setup the G34 via the app but I couldn't because the option for Optimum is not there.  Optimum was able to setup on their end so they have internet...but I cannot get in to change the WiFi name or access WPS to add extender to the network since it asks for a email and password that the product was registered under but I never had to register in the first place. Help getting into this would be appreciated.

I have my primary home WiFi network set for ‘AP Isolation’ (the checkmark on the admin GUI) in my G36.   Why then is my PC seeing UDP [broadcast] packets from other IP addresses connected to that network?  By that I’m not asking why other hosts are sending this stuff; why is the router forwarding them?   I thought the idea of isolation technology was the router would refuse to forward virtually everything between hosts on such an ‘isolated’ network.  Perhaps the response could summarize what is expected to be blocked by the gateway.  Thanks.

I put a post previously about my Wifi speeds are only half that they use to be. 426mbps now 213mbps with upload only .07mbps.  My ethernet speed is great and it is just the Wifi,. I was going to check the channels to see where the congestion is so I can change the channel BUT, for some reason, even though I have alot of items connected to the 2.4 channel, nothing is showing up after running the Spectrum Analyzer under 2.4GHz section/log. Items show up under the 5G categories but not the 2.4.  I cannot change the channel if I do not know where the congestion is as I am sure there is. 

A week ago my G20 started to reboot itself every 3 to 5 minuets . I contacted My ISP Comcast about it and they checked the signal and it was sending the proper 600 megs I am supposed to receive , but then in about three min the modem would reboot itself and reconnect again for about three to five minuets I cannot use this modem like this I would like a refund or replacement unit.     thank you.

i have had this router for not even a whole month and the wifi network is accessible from all my devices but when selected there is no internet connection. i am a student and the router is hooked up to our schools internet and i don’t think other people are having this problem.

I installed an Arris G-20. After about a week it started cycling through reboots to connect.  It won’t stay connected.  Xfinity says the device is faulty. 

I’m not understanding the instructions for  installing 

I know this question has been asked here many times but they all say the same thing and it’s not working for me. I have a  SBG7600AC2. I use all four ethernet ports. Recently they all turned off. No signal, no lights, I tried different cables. I tried mixing and matching the cables and the devices. I went in to the web interface and disabled and enabled the ports. I tried doing the factory reset of the device and that didn’t work either. Today I went in to the Status page and even though the web interface states the 4 LAN ports are all enabled, the status page list them all as being disabled.  What next other than buying a whole new device?  LAN Port 1 Disabled Down -----   LAN Port 2 Disabled Down -----   LAN Port 3 Disabled Down -----   LAN P

Surfboard SBG10 turned off while I was working and won't turn back on. Outlet is working. unplugged for 1 min.

I’ve unplugged and replugged the power cord to try and get the WiFi to work but that did nothing. I did a factory reset and don’t know what to do now.

Hi my company now wants everyone on video for teams calls which can sometimes be 30+ people.My internet is struggling with this many videos feeds. Is there a quality of service setting for the G18 device so I can prioritize teams over other apps?Or do you recommend a different device? Please help! Thanks!

I installed my sbg8300, and called Mediacom (less than 1gig service). They state that they can see my modem, but I have no internet. All the settings look good on my sbg8300 interface, but I did a factory reset on the modem anyway. I've tried with two different computers connected via ethernet. I still have no internet.

Is there a firmware update for the G36 using Spectrum as the ISP?  Most topics on this seem to be 2+ years old.

I recently returned an item that was under warranty, for an exchange of a new item. I chose the option that would have Arris ship the item immediately, and they would put a credit hold on my card while they awaited shipment of the defective item.  I returned the defective item immediately, and have shipping confirmation from UPS that it was delivered to their returns address. The delivery of the return took place well before the held charge would go through on my card, and yet I was still charged for this. I am unable to activate live chat for some reason, and the phone service is currently after hours. Has anyone else experienced this and/or how was could this be resolved? 

modem i bought last year quit workling my internet at home doesnt work . what could be wrong ? this is $600+ when i bought it expensive and did not last..

I’m trying to connect our G18 router/modem to our Spectrum service. Everything is plugged in, solid blue light is on. But when we go to connect to the Wi-Fi there are 40+ different wifi names called “wave_(1-40+)”. The Wi-Fi works once connected to one of the names but how can we make it just one and get it password protected? 

This is going to seem naive for a small house but I had arris (SBG7600AC2) router/modem combo that encompassed the house but would start dropping connection (or it was comcast) and every time it did it pissed off all the echos and other smart devices in the house. So I purchased an overkill 54G which drops less but while the signal is good enough, there is too much “noise” to make some of my downstairs echos happy for multi speaker spottily. I started to hook up a ax1800 tp-link…. mostly because the wu6 has terrible reviews for the price. I mostly wanted to know if im wasting my time before I start drilling into my ceiling and getting a POE device if its possible. I dont see any walk thoroughs that use combo devices as first modem device. 

i’m getting an error that says (title) and I have 25 devices already added.is 25 the cap? (i doubt it) anyway, I’d appreciate some assistance. thanks. 

My new (< 60 days) G20 died.  No LED lights when plugged in at all.  I want to return for a replacement.    Need RMA.Surfboard.com is less than user friendly as the link for live chat suggest the surfboard community.  

Can I reboot my SBG 8300 modem router combo remotely?

I unplugged my modem and disconnected the coaxial cable and Ethernet cable from my modem.  I plugged my modem back in with the coaxial cable only.  It’s in the same location as before.  Now it keeps dropping the internet.  It’ll be on for 5 min, the no connection, then back on…..I did a reset by unplugging it as well as poking the little hole on the back.  Nothing fixes the problemSusan 

I wanted to get away from provider fees of using their modems, i.e. Ziply Fiber, and decided to buy the Arris G34 combo after seeing decent reviews. Looked easy enough. I haven't been able to watch TV or use my laptop now for a month without having to go through hoops and trials to get some sort of connection.  As a person who has very little knowledge about this topic, any message board info is like reading Latin.  Im about ready to just cancel my internet all together to save that money and say fukitall. Going to back to simpler times seems less stressful.  

I have an Arris Surfboard SBG8300.  I’ve recently started having issues with it rebooting intermittently.  I was attempitng to gather logs.  I go under Troubleshooting and Logs, but when I query for System or Event logs, it states “There are no logs to display”.  I don’t see where I can check to see if logging is turned on or not.  How do I get logging on my device.  Seems like firewall logs are working just fine.
