How can i secure my network? The app Fing says my network allows unchecked UPnP and NAT-PMP access and that I'm directly connected to a public network. How can I secure it so no one can access my wifi? 

Last month, I switched ISPs to Xfinity with an 800Mbps plan, but continue to use the same s33.  I have noticed my download speed will occasionally drops to be around100Mbps, independent of whether I use the 1Gitabit or 2.5Gigabit port.  using my ORBI router statistics, I can see the WAN port drops to 100M/Full down from 1000M/Full.  To get my speed back, I have to reconnect my patch cable (CAT6) from the modem to the router to the opposite port on the modem (1 vs. 2.5Gigabit). Sometimes I have to reboot the modem as well.   Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly when this change happens so I can’t check the event logs at that specific moment. I have seen this with my previous ISP as well, so I don’t think this is specific to the ISP.  So what would cause this?  How can I resolve?While investigating this issue, I did look at the event log to see if I can find anything unusual.  Two things I have found, but may or may not be related.(edit: CM-MAC information removed)

Internet is working and all hard wired devices have connection but wireless devices cannot connect to internet… do I need to replace the modem? 

How  do I turn off the WIFI on my ARRIS modem/router, provided by ATMC, so I can plug in a Netgear Orbi MESH system?    

Why can't I access sb8200 web management using wifi. Is it because my wifi network is 192.168. 0.n and the modem address is 192.168. 100.1?If so, anyway to assign the modem an address in my wifi subnet? 

I activated my Arris SB8200 on Xfinity yesterday. It's not updating the firmware. I've restarted the modem at least 6 times. My Software Version is      D31CM-PEREGRINE-1.1.1.0-GA-11-NOSH. The current version seems to be AB01.02.053.05_051921_193.0A.NSH. Why isn't it updating? I also noticed there’s no Advanced tab in the menu bar.   

I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to get to the admin page. I did a factory reset, and the instructions say to enter the last 8 digits of the serial number as the password, however, the first two of the eight are letters and not digits. Does this mean I’m not allowed to access the admin page? 

Hi all,We got a Surfboard 6190 modem and it’s hard for us to tell if the issues are from our ISP or modem, but our ISP thinks it’s our modem now. (There were also some repairs they needed to do on their end with the wires). But we are now still having severely reduced connection speeds. Paying for 400 mbps, getting about 20, and often it completely dies. The event log for our modem has constant inputs, attached at bottom. Connecting S33 to either my RAX50 (Gbe) router or GS110MX 10G Switch fails, but it connects fine to my PC.  Any ideas why?  Using Cat 8

I used to be able to programmatically reboot my Motorola Surfboard SB6120 cable modem simply by opening http://192.168.100.1/reset.htm.   The page is now missing and I am no longer able to find any reboot/reset page available via web browser.  Some instructions indicate that a reset button is available on the Configuration page, but the button is not there.Does anyone know how to programmatically reboot the Motorola Surfboard SB6120?

I find that my 1.2 Gb speed from Xfinity periodically slows down from about 900 Mbs to about 100 Mbs.  This is remedied by restarting the modem by unplugging it for about a minute.  Is there a way to schedule a periodic restart of the S33 modem via its app?   I am thinking that, if not, I could connect it to a smart plug and schedule it to periodically turn off and on in the middle of the night.Also how often should the modem be restarted for optimum performance?

Where is the sb8200 manual? 

Purchased S33 modem May 2022. Kept overheating and dropping network connection. Spent 2 hrs troubleshooting with Cox and said modem is bad. Requesting assistance with warranty replacement. Thanks. 

We have Frontier FiOS with an Arris NVG468MQ router.  We recently dropped FiOS TV (and Frontier is dropping it everywhere), kept Frontier FiOS internet but added basic Spectrum (copper).  We have an Arris AM525 to extend Wifi to the opposite end of the house but when the Spectrum folks hooked up the TV they just disconnected it.  We have crappy Wifi at that end of the house again so I plugged the co-ax back in and it seemed to fire up good.  When I did a Wifi analyzer the signal strength was off the charts.  But now we cannot log into the Wifi from there.  We can see the Wifi network, the signal strength is super strong, but it absolutely will not accept the WAP key.  WAP key works with other extenders but absolutely not with that.  Tried with several devices and with my cell phone, will not connect.  Not sure why we can see the Wifi network but cannot log into it now.  There is a WAP key on the AM525 but it will not accept that either.  Not a networking expert but not sure i

Simply put I have Xfinity 1.2 gig service with a not even year old S33 modem.  When I plug my Chromebook via gigabit Ethernet adapter into the 2.5 or 1 gig port I get around 500-600 mbps down.  Xfinity tech comes out & connects his meter to the incoming cable & showed me it was getting 1.299 gig.  Then he plugged his meter into the cable coming out of the 2.5 gig port and it also showed 1.299 gig down.  That’s the first issue, now the rest of it that makes no sense to me;I have a band new Amplfi Alien router w/ the LCD touch screen.  It shows Xfinity’s speed coming into the router usually between 750-810 mbps but when I plug my Chromebook into one of its LAN ports I get 570 mbps down which I don’t understand.  Then here’s the last piece that makes me even more perplexed;I have a TP-Link RE650 gigabit range extender (which is connected via wifi to the Alien router) and when I plug my Chromebook into the LAN port on the range extender I get speeds of 720-800 mbps

All of a sudden I'm now suddenly my unit will not recognize my password. 

I Purchased an SB8200. So like any modem I connect the  coaxial cable and power it up. The modem starts to load and  all lights go on.  Then shutsdown and starts the process over again. Disconnect the coaxial and all the lights stay green and steady. Any idea what going on? My ISP is spectrum. I have not contacted them since i cannot get it started up. 

After an outage in my town my internet stop working. Contacted my ISP and they told me in their end everything looked good. My modem used to display a green steady light for power, a steady blue for receive, another steady blue for send and a green for online. Now the order is green, blue, green, and green.I have no internet access after multiple tries to reset, disconnect the power source and rebooting on ISP side. What else can I do to fix this?

My Arris SB6190 is unable to connect or turn on

Trying to set up Voiply’s adapter for using my landline phone to make calls via the internet (VOIP)I  have an older (~8 years?) Arris SB6121 Modem.Advice says to try one of a number of internet addresses, log in and after going to Advanced Settings or Application Layer Gateway Settings, uncheck the SIP box. The problem is I am not prompted to log in when I use the only address that worked (http://192.168.100.1). I am taken to a page that displays the status of various modem items similar to this:  Do I have the ability to ability to disable the SIP ALG functionality using the SB6121? If so, how?HELP!!

Good morning everyone, I’ve been having my internet drop randomly and more frequently now, I have been trying to figure out what’s causing this issues, I have checked my router and went through them to see if it was them, but it doesn’t seem like it. So now I’m checking my modem.  Here is my event log, sorry if its long. I’m just trying to figure out what all this means. Hi! I have a Arris SB6190 cable modem and I use Google Mesh Network.  I have a new device that requires 2.4ghz.  How can I “split” the 2.4 and 5ghz signals so that my device would stay connected on the 2.4ghz signal? Please advise, I look forward to hearing from you soon!  Thanks!

I just purchased the SB8200.  I can access the page listed on the quickstart guide as: 192.168.100.1 which gives me access to view “status” of the modem, however, I cannot access the device management page that will allow me to change settings.I’ve activated with my ISP and this service will be a secondary internet and I need to set the modem to bridge mode. I’ve connected a cable directly to the modem (not going through my router to get to it) so I should be able to get to this web page. I’ve also tried 192.168.0.1 but it brings up the same status page as did the other IP.  Is there some secret sauce I’m missing on this ?EDIT to add:  The IP address on the modem is the WAN IP so when I connect my computer it I’m getting a 42.x.x.x IP versus a 192.x.x.x IP

I found out that there is a newer Firmware than my AC1750 is currently running. I downloaded the new Firmware, but can’t seem to install it.  When I try to Mount the image file, I get “The disc image file is corrupted.” Any detailed input is much appreciated.
