So my original problem was that my internet connection was dropping (Xfinity) so we scheduled a tech to come out for a fix.The initial issue was resolved because it turned out that the line was damaged and the house we moved into had multiple splitters that were causing our signal to "leak" he mentioned that he was surprised that we had a connection at all from how bad it was, he disabled all the other Coax outlets that weren't in use and our issues were fixed for that day.I should note that Prior to this visit we had our Arris SB8200 modem's lights as Blue for downstream. (speeds are 600+mbs Down and 30mbs Up)After his visit the internet went down that night only to return in the morning but the lights on the Modem turned all Green and occasionally flicker (and have remained green) but occasionally it turns Blue for downstream for about 5-10 seconds whilst the connection drops only to return to green again.For ex. any stream/Netflix video/Game that is ru

Have a new SB8200 I can log in but as soon as I select any option it goes back to the login screen.  I can’t see logs or get to help.. Please help or I will have to return it to the store

My SB6141 keeps rebooting a few times a day. I’ve called my ISP to make sure it’s not something on their end and they said it looks like the modem is trying to get an update, fails to get it and then reboots.Once it reboots everything works great. My Internet goes down pretty much the same time every night and comes back on around the same time every morning. Usually it'll go down anywhere from 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock in the morning and then it'll come back up around 8 o'clock in the morning almost on the dot every day. I've talked to our Internet technician probably 20 times over the past three weeks and they have even come out to the house and they cannot find anything wrong. All they keep saying is that I should rent a modem from them which I do not want to because I just recently sb8200 for almost $150. By the time the tech even comes out of course the net is back online.  I really do not know what to do. I noticed something weird in the event logs, that is goes back to 1970 on the log time/date.  I honestly do not even know what to do at this point, I thought about buying a new modem to see if that even will help and I guess I could always rent one from my Internet company

Cox support has been trying to shirk their responsibility for configuring and diagnosing internet problems in an attempt to bludgeon us users into renting their scammy integrated modem/router.  What firmware versions should we expect to see loaded on the SB6183 and what are normal ranges for the upstream power and downstream SNR stats?Can anyone advise on the age/compatibility on firmware version: D30CM-OSPREY-2.4.0.3-GA-00-NOSH  Does anything stand out as deficient for these connection stats? I should add that the problem being experienced is frequent upstream packet loss and poor performance on upstream (typically between 10-50% of quoted capacity).

Looking for wifi extender that will maximize my 500GB signal

My S33 needs to be rebooted or shuts down often. I continue to get this group of errors often. Something tells me it is Xfinity. I have 1gbps service but can recieve up to 1200 per xfinity, however i have never seen more than 650mbps. Hi All,I have a ARRIS rac2v1a, and there is a strange phenomenon which I suspect that it is an implementation error.When an iPhone has connect to ARRIS rac2v1a, checking the wireless sniffer air packet, I realized that in the Beacon Frame, there will be times where Robust Security Network Information Element (RSN-IE) is missing. The Router is operating in WPA2 protocol.Is there any software staff here that could help to clarify this?Thank you.

I currently have the SB8200 modem that I bought back in 2017. I was looking around at modems to see if I need to upgrade to a newer model and I see that DOCSIS 3.1 is still the top of the line, so I should still be good for a while.However, I saw that the Motorola MB8611 advertises that their modem has Active Queue Management (AQM). I can’t find any reference to AQM on the Arris site, but I did find that it is part of the DOCSIS 3.1 spec. Is this just a case of Motorola listing a feature that every DOCSIS 3.1 compliant modem has, or does Arris not have AQM in the SB8200?

 I was speaking to Spectrum, my ISP,  about how they had the wrong modem listed for me in my account.  In the process of getting it corrected their technical people said my modem was not capable of the 400  Mbps plan I was paying for. The box for the SB6183 modem states it is capable of 686 Mbps down load speed.  The OOKLA speed test while I was communicating with them is showing that I am getting a download speed of 440 Mbs from my home to Portland, ME.  The test from their own website gave me  the same identical download speed from my home to their Spectrum location in Syracuse, NY>I am clearly getting the download speed that I am paying for and more.  Their technical people are saying I should not be getting that type of speed with this modem and that it is only capable of 300 Mbps and they are not budging from that stance. I have been using an ARRIS SB6183 Cable modem for the last three years.  I bought and own the modem which was on their approved

Purchased new SB8200 in February and installed and activated it per Comcast and Arris instructions.  Had new Linksys MR9600 router already installed and operating. Had no trouble for a few weeks and for 3 months now recurring crashes and DOCSIS 3.1 dropped to DOCSIS 3.0.  However, the DOCSIS chipset remains online to Comcast and they show the modem and system still up and operating with no indication or record of outages from their viewpoint.  Had 5 Comcast technician onsite inspections and nobody has the answer.  Currently have a borrowed Comcast Xfinity modem in place and absolutely no outages, slow downs, or connection issues which is at least circumstantial evidence that the Arris SB8200 modem is faulty.  Rebooting resumes internet connection and service but only briefly before another crash.  I do not know whether SB8200 is incorrectly configured but I changed nothing after taking it out of the box and would not know how anyway.  If there is a solution I would be interested in

With xfinity starting the rollout of docsis 4.0 (or starting shortly), does Arris have anything docsis 4.0 in the works or in testing? I’ve been involved in beta testing before and seems likes its pretty beneficial with these new iterations of technology to test their backwards compatibility on the 3.1 technology in the wild. Hello, I just got off the phone with Spectrum to activate my SB3200. The LEDs on the unit seem off. I’ve attached photos of the LEDs, as well as the Status page from the web interface.Most of the videos and photos I’ve seen online show the up and downstream being blue, and the internet green… In my case, the downstream is blue, the upstream seems to be white(?) and the internet/power also seem to be whiteish green, but not bright green like I see in other photos and videos… I’m assuming my upstream is not DOCIS 3.1...When the unit boots up, all LEDs are the typical bright green.Please see photos. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I just want to make sure this thing is setup correctly, or if I need to escalate this with Spectrum.  

How can I update the firmware on my modem?  

Hello, I have an Arris router given to me by my ISP. I have factory reset the router and tried to log into the router through the default gateway, but no combination of passwords I have found online will allow me to login. I have tried every combination of “admin”, “password” and just blanks possible. Please help! I am trying to port forward

I’m not sure if this was posted before but will the SB8200 have WiFi by itself? Thanks in advance.

what does Event log id numbers mean.  I see the numbers but no not know what they mean. 

When I go to my SB6190 admin page, it does not have a login screen. It opens directly to status. Also, I seem to be missing some more advanced tabs. This admin page looks basic. 

After going in circles looking for a solution to the “security” concerns of Chrome and Edge that result in not allowing a 192.168.0.1 login, I finally tried old Internet Explorer ("C:\Program Files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe") and Voila! Apparently, Chrome/Edge substitute https in place of http - it’s a “feature.”(Microsoft may discontinue Internet Explorer in future but some other browsers also may work)

Please help.me white list my google wifi router with the modem

Folks, I was wondering, is there any way to get shell access into a 3801HGV-B router? We have a 3801HGV-B in our household and it has started to malfunction a little, with devices disconnecting from the network at random times. I was thinking perhaps I could access a shell inside of it so that I can troubleshoot it myself. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Hi folks, I just found Arris’ specifications for SB6190 signal levels here. It says the Downstream Bonded Channels power should be between -15dBmV and +15dBmV.  My power levels are at 11.X dBmV to 13.X dBmV.  However, in the provided example, it shows -0.1dBmv to +0.2dBmv.  So my question is this?  Should my downstream power levels be between -0.15dBmV and +0.15dBmV or should it be between -15.0 dBmV and +15.0 dBmV?  If it’s NOT the latter, then I should be calling Cox. 

Hello there, can anyone help me interpret my upstream/downstream logs? My internet keeps dropping out with greater and greater frequency it seems. If it’s important, when the internet briefly goes out, the lights on my modem and router remain on/solid. Recently, there are times when it doesn’t connect back automatically and then I have to establish a connection again via my router. I just purchased my router in March of 2021. I received the modem (SB6190) from a friend in 2019 and have had no issues until recently. It looks like the Upstream Bonded Channels are lower than the accepted levels, but I’m not quite sure what that means. I also refreshed the page after 10+ minutes and provided both reports below. For Upstream Bonded Channels on the first report, it shows no readings for channels 1-3. The only light on my modem/router which turns on is the power light, The wifi lights do not come on and when Iook at the username “network” it said that it is out of area even though it is in the same room and has always worked previously. Modem/router is Arris Model TG 1682G. Operating system is Windows 11. How can I get internet back and the lights on the modem/router turned on?
