SB8200

I have a SB8200 modem that has stopped working. My internet provider came by, tested the modem and confirmed it’s receiving the signal from the provider, but not then passing along the signal to my laptop (if direct wired) or my wireless router.  I checked your site and based on the serial number of my modem, it is under warranty until Sep 13, 2026. I’ve tried to find how to submit a warranty claim on your site, but any instructions I’ve found appear to keep sending me in a loop from one site to the next. Can someone please direct me to the precise site that explains how to submit a warranty claim on my modem?Thank you.

When power is restored after an outage, SB8200 modem does not power back on.  I have to power cycle it to get it to boot up.  This is a problem when traveling it remains off until I return home and power cycle it. What would cause this?

I have a new SB8200. Want to register it for warranty. But I cannot. When I go to the site, I enter the Serial number and model number and it says there is no match. When I call tech support, I get disconnected. When I go to chat, it’s not available (in their business hours). I have not yet found an email address. Can anyone here help me?Thank you.

My SB8200v3 upstream and downstream lights stay solid but the internet light keeps blinking. My old SB6183 was working just fine when I connected it however this new modem doesn't want to work.

I AM JUST OUT OF WARRANTY AND MODEM HAS A DHCP PROBLEM. HOW TO RESET MODEM?  

I don’t have the admin password for my SB8200. I tried “password” and the last eight digits of the serial number, both upper and lowercase. I tried the 10 second reset, and could still not get in so I tried holding reset for 30 seconds and neither admin/password or admin/(serial last 8) works.Is there a more effective reset procedure? Is there any other possible default password?

Wrong service provider, provider should be Sparklight not New Wave. How can this be corrected?

I purchased an Arris Surfboard SB8200 back in January this year and it just kicked the bucket a couple days ago. Everything was running normally, but suddenly I lost WiFi and I noticed that the Surfboard didn't have any lights up. I unplugged the unit and it was very hot to the touch. Clearly, the hardware has failed.I took the unit back to the Best-Buy I bought it from, but since I didn't buy the protection plan, they told me there was nothing they could do. They let me know that I need to contact the manufacturer and ask about their warranty. Apparently there is a one-year warranty, and I should be eligible since the unit didn't even last a full six months.I went to the URL on the bottom of the device, www.arris/consumer, but this seems to now re-direct to a website for the company CommScope. Where and how can  web interface be accessed? Upon logging in to the modem IP address, you can see other things except the web manager.  The Arris website routes to Commscope and Commscope chat agent says go to Surfboard and disconnected.

wifi does not show up on my wifi list even after setup

We decided to up-grade our service recently yesterday and purchased a new SB8200 from Amazon(shipped and sold from Amazon). In the add it clearly shows compatible with Altice optimum/ Altice Suddenlink.Very shortly after ordering I became aware after reading several post on reddit and other places that there is an issue with the V3 connecting on optimums networks that were previously Suddenlink, as is our area. However from what i also read is it was kind of a game of chance which version you get shipped from Amazon so we let he item ship and hoped for the best. It arrived today and unfortunately it is the V3 model.  I know contacting amazon and trying to explain that i need a v1 or v2 would be an exercise in futility with my only option being return for a refund. However there was a sale going on and we were able to get it for $138 including tax which is a steep discount. I am curious if I reach out to Arris support regarding the version issue they might

For the last couple weeks, the top blue / download light is not lit...internet has been working fine. Sometimes the 2nd blue / send light is lit, sometime it is not...ISP says everything looks normal on their end (strong signal sent / received etc.) I have tried rebooting and same thing. Could the top blue light just be burnt out? Only had this for about a year...

Hi, My fairly new (still under warranty) SB8200 won’t work. When I apply power the power light turns on solid green for about 10sec then the upstream and downstream lights illuminate for <1sec then all three lights turn off for about 2-3sec. Then the green power light comes on and the process starts again. At no point (even if I leave it connected to power etc) does the blue connection search light start finding a signal. The modem never establishes a connection and otherwise doesn’t work. I tried to reset it (10 sec pushing the button) and that doesn’t bring it back to life. While I have the reset button depressed the lights don’t flash but they go right back to the cycle described above after releasing the reset button.  does this mean the modem is dead and needs to be replaced? thanks,Kyle

I have a 300 mps plan. on my 6183 the lights showed green blue blue green. on the SB8200 the light are all green. Am I missing something? How do I get them to go green, blue, blue, green, or use high speed?

I recently purchased an SB8200 off amazon Arris store. It arrived today in an amazon box but the product was in a clear plastic bag. Is this how these are typically shipped? I've  never received equipment like this and it just feels 'off''. Wanted to check if anyone else has received a unit like this. Even the product photos show the product box.  Thanks

I have a SB2000 modem connected directly to my pc, Spectrum sending 1 gig SB2000 only allows 300mpbs is there an update to fix this?

Hey, the modem keeps blinking orange and settings say 100mbps. If I reset it, it will blink green and say 1000mbps for a little while, but then eventually drop again. The cat 6 ethernet is fine. Xfinity says everything is good on their end. The modem is four years old, do you think it's starting to go?

My modem is sending information to the router but not allowing the router to the internet. I have tried this on 3 different routers, all different brands. 

New modem. Power ligh5 comes on, but no internet light comes on at all

I have an Xbox Series X and recently decided to hard wire from my SB8200 to the Xbox.Now it says it can’t connect to DHCP server. I have tried both ports on the modem, I even factory reset my network and still nothing.The Wifi works fine but for some reason the hard wire from the Xbox to modem won’t.What can I do to solve this?
