How to change my WiFi name and password

The 4 Channel’s Upstream Power Levels on my ARRIS SBG7600AC2 are between 44.25 dBmV (the lowest) - 45.50 dBmV (the highest). Are those levels low? Can they be increased? If so, how can they be increased? I am experiencing low WiFi Signals for both my wireless Blink Camera System, and my Amazon Firesticks. If that signal is settable within my Modem\Router please help me increase it. If not, can ARRIS tweak those settings for me? Thank you!

Well, I tried locating my User Manual for the SBG7600AC2 with no luck. I recall something about accessing the 7600 that is in bridged mode by accessing its 5G wifi. Also using 192.168.100.1 to gain access. Well that did not work. Is the only option left to disconnect it from the UDM-Pro and plug directly into the 1st port on the modem? Your thoughts

Hello, I want to change the name of my network, and also change the password. How do I access the wifi setting for my surfboard?

We currently cannot get internet in our bedroom upstairs and would like to get an internet extender. Can anyone recommend an extender that is compatible with the Arris SBG7600AC2? It seems Arris doesn’t have extenders so we need to know which ones are compatible with what we have.

Hey All: Modem has been great for a few years. Like 10 days ago, internet just dies randomly, wifi networks are still up but can’t even connect to admin page. I see other people are having the same issue recently. What’s up? the only way to fix it is to power the modem/router down and up. I tried factory reset to see if that gets rid of potential malware. It was good for a few hours and died right as i was doing an internet speed test. Any advice. Should I try another modem? thanks

I’m locked out of SBG6950AC2. I want to set a new password. How can I do this?

I have the surfboard SBG6950AC2. The password I set will let most of my devices log in. The thermostat will not accept the password. When I typed in the modem url to log into the router it will not accept the password and is saying I’m locked out I don’t know what to do now to log into the surfboard and change the password so I can use the surfboard for all my devices.

On the SBG6950AC2 Box it states “DOCSIS 3.0” but, the Upstream on the status page is showing as DOCSIS2.0; Also at the bottom of the status page it shows “ © ARRIS Enterprises, Inc. 2019 All rights reserved. “ Does that mean the software is from 2019? I have Xfinity with the SBG7600AC2 modem router. Download speed is great but webpages are not loading. Netflix, Amazon and Facebook load just fine. Google searches work great but when I click on link it never loads. I’m not sure if the problem is with the router or Xfinity. I did a factory re-set but didn’t help. Anyone know what’s up? Thanks

How come the chat feature never works for customer support? How come I can’t call customer support? My app doesn’t work. I don’t remember my login and there is no reset. This is an obnoxious company.

Since purchasing the SBG7600AC2 modem I have not thought about updating the modems firmware to the latest version. Where do I find the latest version and how do I install it. I currently have the 7600 in bridged mode and connected to my Unifi system here at home. Thanks, ElectronicsNut

I have an HP-Color-LaserJet-CM1312-MFP printer that I am trying to connect via an ethernet connection to a SBG7400AC2 gateway. The printer installation program cannot see the printer. When it was connected to my previous Xfinity gateway I had to set up a static IP address for the printer before it could be recognized. I think I need to do that again But am not sure how to do that with SBG7400AC2 gateway or if I can add the printer to the network another way.. I have two Lenovo laptops that connect to the network either wirelessly or by ethernet when in their docking stations and need to connect to the Printer. .

SSID changed to ARRIS-0000 and internet is lost. Have done multiple hard resets which haven't worked. I haven't been able to use 198.162.0.1 either. I can't get anything working through the app either.

I have a SBG7400AC2 cable modem and right now it is at 5.0 ghz but I need to switch back to 2.4ghz because of a Wi-Fi enabled thermostat only will work with the slower speed.

buffering loosing signal shuts off

I dc my comcast gateway modem and switched to SBG7400AC2 surfboard. my previous download was 400 , upload 120 now download is 100 and upload is 10 I’m not an “IT” guy, but please send me advice. Thanks

I have service with Optimum. The provided modem from Optimum is connected via coaxial. It is providing wifi to more than 25+ devices. I have this SBG6950AC2 modem/router and want to know if I can use this device to connect to the existing network via ethernet and coaxial and use the device to connect some of the devices to this router. Essentially using this router as a wifi extender. Not have to connect it to the provider service. Just allow devices that are more than 75 feet away from the modem to connect to the router.

Modem GUI is not loading on my phone or laptop. What could be preventing the page from loading? I tried multiple browsers and I’m still having issues.

I’m unable to access the ‘Operation’ tab at the top of my Web Manager interface. It changes my address to 192.168.100.10:8080 when clicking it. It claims that the default username is ‘admin’, gives no password and accepts no known passwords. I’ve tried leaving the field blank, ‘password’, ‘Password’, ‘admin’, ‘Admin’ and the password I set to log into 192.168.0.1 itself and none of these work either. I know this worked when I first bought the surfboard a few years ago, not sure how to access this again.

First off, the router (SBG7600AC2) is working fine. I had a problem last night, which caused me to try and open the Legacy app on my phone. It instructed me to download the new Central app -- which I did. When trying to get things going with the new app, it asks me to log in or create a new app. I enter in my email, and it tells me I have an existing account with that email (that makes sense), when I try to log into my existing account, it prompts me to start a new account… It’s a vicious circle I can’t get out of. Any suggestions?
