why is the light flashing green all the time? 

New to me SB8200 which replaced my CM8200A. Last night I got into the modem with the 8 digit serial number. After getting in, it asked to reset the password. Did that and copied the password to a file in case I need it. Was working fine. This morning I tried to get in with the new password and it failed to do so. Tried the 8 digits SN and it failed. Tried the “password” and it failed. I doubt this is normal because I haven’t seem much info here on failed passwords. By the way, I am using “admin” as the log in. Thoughts from the experts here? Appreciate it. Thanks

Hi, I just recently switched internet providers (Access to Sasktel) and Sasktel gave me an Arris router. Now my google homes will no longer connect to the Wi-Fi. I have factory reset them and it keeps giving me the same messages. “Disable Access Point/AP Isolation and Enable UPnP.” I can find UPnP in the router settings and it is enabled however I can not find anything called Access Point or AP isolation. Where could I find this option or is it labeled as something else? Thanks.Model: NVG448BQ

Arris sb2800v3 not showing up as home network on xfinity 

I accidentally deactivated 5G which turned off internet. Can't login to enable. Model is SBG7600AC2

I replaced my 2019 Arris C-129 with the new Arris G34. I get internet service in my house but no longer receive connectivity in my cabana which is where I work from home and need wi-fi. The old modem worked great for providing connectivity and wifi to my cabana, but Cox said my modem was too old. Any suggestions for getting connectivity before I need to work Monday morning? I appreciate your time and advice. Thank you! 

Can you please tell me how to access the event log on a surfboard SB8200? 

Trying to activate it online because customer service is closed. But when I put the serial number says, it doesn’t match 

I have an SB8200 and I’m not sure when it was purchased or how old it is. I know it’s not under warranty. What is the best way to get the ship or manufacture date of my specific modem?

My ISP plan is 200Mbsp. Works for what we have now. And unlimited.  Looking to upgrade from ARRIS SB6182. Will the SB 8200 work?  or is it too much for what we have? Cox cable wants me to get more data speed. Thank you for any info.

i have this Arris surfboard svg2482ac modem/router which i bought with TP link Deco x60 router. I did not know that The Arris was both modem and router so. when i set it up I was using The Arris for everything. I was having connection issues and started looking into it and got the tp link working properly.this now has a different IP address which works out great with everything except the printer (hp Officejet 4620). i am unable to get it to recognize the new IP address, it still shows the old one. It will only print with the USB enabled desktop.is there a simple work around that a novice could do to enable WIFI printing?

Internet has been spotty for last 2 weeks. Replaced old Netgear router w new Archer AXE75. Connected it to Surfboard 8200 v3 that was bought 3 months ago. Now there is no Internet at all. Do these 2 work w each other? Or do I need something different. Cox Communications is my service provider.

I am unable to connect an HP 8600 with either MAC Filtering disabled, Allow-All, or MAC Filtering enabled, Allow, with the HP 8600 in the  Wi-Fi Control List. In both cases, a MAC Filter restriction message is displayed.

My Wi-Fi stopped working on multiple devices, some of my connected Wi-Fi is still working, ie, my TV, mobile phones, co.puters, but all of my other devices are offline, when connecting to the ssid it says no internet, yet other Wi-Fi connected devices are still connected. I can not connect my other devices as it says no internet on all broadcast ssids, I have factory reset the modem, yet still no success.

After discovering that the modem was rebooting every 5 or 7 minutes “exactly” I completed a “Restore WIFI Defaults” action this cleared this rebooting looping condition. Apparently the restore allows the firmware to reload clean defaults fixing erratic behavior like I was experiencing. My question is how can I determine what the actual cause that sent the modem into this condition in the first place? The modem is relatively new and operated great for a couple weeks before this problem occurred. I don’t want to have to do a restore everytime this happens going forward. Any suggestion would be appreciated. 

I have a SB6190 that’s maybe ?6 years old with COX Cable internet service.My download speed was around 90 MBPS when I had it routed through/to the wireless routerbut I had close to 0 upload speed (would vary between 0 to 0.1 to as high as maybe 2 if I was lucky). I then disconnected the wireless router and connected the Ethernet cable from the modem directly to the computer and the download speed went to 250-270 MBPS !! but the upload stayed very low, somewhere close to 0 or 0.2, rarely above 1-2. The speed I’m paying for is around 250 down so I don’t think I’m overtaxing the modem which is ratedat 1000/1000. This all started about 6-8 weeks ago so I had COX come out and they replaced a connection at the house and the cable all the way to the pole and to the junction or distribution box at the top of the pole.  I don’t know if they replaced a connection at the pole or the whole box.  I live near the Gulf so the connections apparently can get corroded but the Tech did not leave any note

ive tried too access my user interface but no luck. it says i have an unsupported browser so i downgraded to the minimum it asks for and still no luck. i know my credentials are correct when login but its not letting me login. i havent changed the password infact ive never been able to login at any point. 

Hello- I follow all of the appropriate steps to setup my router and when I get to the connection phase it slows down to nothing. Furthest I got was 5% and then it gives me an error with setup. I’ve reset the unit multiple times. I unplugged the modem and waiting 10 minutes, then rebooted that and let it connect. The lights are flashing white and green so it’s in the right spot but just wont continue on.  This is for a DSL connection with new router that has never been setup before. Setting up on an Iphone running the latest software with the latest app. Utilizing the Surfboard Central app. Any suggestions?

I purchased the G34 Modem last week to replace an old modem that I had leased from my ISP - upon receipt, I followed all instructions, called the ISP to set up the new and she never could get it to “ping” on her end.  It kept flashing blue.  The next morning, it was solid blue, so I called back - she was able to identify the modem and got me set up, but could tell on her end that that the service was degraded, so she she up a tech service call.   The tech was out this morning, tested everything and it is not the lines - we have good service coming to the house, but the modem will not connect.   I have power cycled it and even hard reset it several times - but nothing.  It will flash green, go solid blue for a moment, then back to flashing blue.  

I have an older SB6183 and while it does everything that I want it to do from a performance standpoint, it stays constantly hot.  It has plenty of room around it for airflow and it is shocking how hot it stays.  There are 5 of us in the house using wifi, so maybe that plays a role, but I’d like to have something much cooler sitting near me on my desk instead of this hotbox.   Do any modern modem offerings stay cool?  There has to be a better option. 

SBG8300 been working okay… but noticed the 2.4Ghz SSID might appear, and might not appear.If I reboot the SBG8300 after a while it might appear for a few seconds on SSID list, then go away.If you connect a hardwire and login to admin page you can see that the Broadcast SSID is set to Broadcast. There are SO MANY posts on this exact topic hard to keep track, and the answers are all pretty poor. Answers like do a hard reset on the modem, which I would have to do and reconfigure monthly - not  a good answer. Or the answer to go in and set it to Broadcast. That one came from a NewBie just trying to rack up points. Why are SO MANY SBG8300 failing to broadcast the SSID for the 2Ghz band ? Sounds like a firmware problem to me. And I own this, so it is not monitored or updated by my ISP. Alike others here, my smart home Iot devices all stopped working when this problem started. 

Hello,  1. I have a new G36. I have tried several times to use the Surfboard app but I keep stalling on the Register Your Device step, says WiFi Communication Error (000-1612)2. I tried connecting directly to the G36 using the IP,  it wants a password. Says the password is available in the app… see number 13. Customer support is closed4. Tried the customer support chat since that is open. Can’t get past the warranty check after inputting my model G36 and the serial numberHopefully someone sees this soon Chat closes in an hour 

Just activated the modem through Xfinity. When trying to connect it on our TV or laptop, it asks for password? I can’t find any password on the back of modem or inside the box it came in. Now what?
