Hello! I’ve had some trouble accessing some settings on the SGB10 web manager, specifically the tab labeled “Operations” next to “Configurations”. I’m easily able to sign in and access the basic setup part of the web manager (192.168.0.1), but the tab “Operations” seems to require a seperate login and password. I’ve tried the usual ‘admin’ and ‘password’, ‘admin’ and blank, along with resetting the router and changing the password under configurations tab, yet I still haven’t been able to access it. I found a similar post titled “Arris SBG6950AC2 'Operation' tab” on this site, but the reply’s were unhelpful as the just suggested changing the password to the basic setup. If anyone has experienced similar or has a solution please let me know.

My SB8200 stopped working yesterday, the only light on is the power light, solid green, reset button does nothing. Is there a number to call? It is still under warranty until the end of March. [edit: removed image with personal information]

New to this community but I see I’m not the only one having this issue. Brand new G34 bought today and my Xbox one can’t connect to it. Phone, laptop, table all connect just fine. Is it an xbox issue or a modem issue. I’ve already done the restart, enable UPnP on the web manager and nothing has worked so far. Gonna try a wired connection and if that doesn’t work, I’m returning it.

My S33 seems to be having the same issue as many others on this forum. Constant noise with orange light / light blue light. I checked with my ISP and everything is good on their end but still no wifi. I’m on the east coast and customer service isn’t open until 11am here. Need my WiFi backup and running ASAP. Wondering if anyone has had ARRIS send them a replacement modem and how long that normally takes.

My windows 8 laptop is showing as “limited connection” when trying to connect to our new Arris G34 wi-fi cable modem. My other laptop, desktop and all phones in the house are connected. Network drivers are up to date on the computer and I had no problems connecting this laptop to our previous modem. Suggestions please?

What’s the best way to dispose of a ARRIS VIP2263 b1. Recycle? but then where? Just don’t want to put it in a landfill. If someone wants it, it’s yours. Just pay for packaging and shipping.

Hi, I recently bought a new to me Lenovo Laptop with Windows 11 on it. It works fine at my business with the Verizon router but at home with the Arris on Xfinity it will not allow me to access the internet ? It says “connected” but no internet access. I am using Firefox but have tried Edge and Chrome just to be sure it wasnt the browser. Any thoughts ? Is anyone else having the same issue ? The Modem/Router is probably 4 years old ? I cant seem to find a way to check to see if it has the latest firmware. I have a desktop, two phones and a tablet and all of them connect just fine.

I don’t have a laptop to connect to the modem. Is there another way to get past this step?

I have tried to change to the device and Cox flags it as not supported. When I have them do it by phone it will not connect to the internet.

how do I personalize the password for my Arris SurfBoard?

The Xfinity installer called his tech support and they speculate that the box the modem came in was never correctly scanned by Best Buy, where I bought it. They said the “mac address” is the problem, and that I have to take it back to Best Buy for them to scan it properly. Anyone else have this problem?

I just recently purchased a SB8200v3 and am already having an issue with it. After contacting my ISP to have it added to my account I was able to get network activity, but the first octet of my default gateway is 24 instead of my ISP’s 192. I need to plug in directly to my modem and manually change the default gateway in order to log into it locally. Does anyone have any thoughts how to get this issue sorted out if the ISP says it’s an issue I should take up with the manufacturer? Not being able to get my home network back up and running is a slight inconvenience.

Hello, I’ve 1Gbps/350Mbps internet now. I bought S33v3 to support this tier since MB8600 didn’t work good with it. But the upload appear to be limited around 45Mbps. ISP tech checked everything and I couldn’t find a problem and said this modem doesn’t support the higher upload speed. Based on the event log, I think the correct config is not in place because some issue with either modem or the provisioning itself. I can’t believe S33 can’t support higher speed. Can someone tell what’s wrong here ? I have a Promax W31 router that is connected to a S33 modem. Surfboard as set up on an old android device. Today I rebooted the router and that caused a major issue. I've confirmed the modem and internet work fine. After having to reboot the Promax w31 router, I could not get the app to recognize the router. I tried all of the tips including unplugging and plugging in the modem, the router; and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I was informed that due to a batch update of Android 14 and 15, the app will not recognize the router. I was told there was not a workaround. Has anyone with Android 14 or 15 figured out how to get the app out of the loop and to actually recognize the router?

Hello everyone, I was trying to change my WiFi password on my first trying it’s showing me a message that invalid username or password or your access has been locked due to multiple failed login. Can someone please give me an idea what should I do? Thank you.

I just noticed that my Ethernet connection does not work from my modem. The wifi that I use daily is working just fine, but I recently noticed that my only wired connection is no longer working. My only Ethernet connection is my security camera system, and I have not checked to see if it was online in months, so who knows how long this issue has been going on for. I have tried to connect the Ethernet cable to different devices and use different Ethernet cables and reset the modem to no success. I am wondering if there is an easy way to tell if the Ethernet ports are broken or if there is some way to reset them. Both the green and orange lights are always on for all 4 ports even when nothing is connected. Is this normal? Or does this in itself indicate a problem? There was a power surge in my neighborhood a year ago. Could this have damaged the Ethernet ports but not the wireless Cabo ability of my modem? Any information would be appreciated. My modem is no longer under warranty.

I ordered a Arris SB8200 about 5 days ago. My CC has been charged for the purchase, but I have not received any order status updates or tracking. I have received a “Tell us what you think about your ARRIS product” email asking me to review my not yet received modem. Any attempt to call or live chat about my order stats requires that I “check my warranty” status first which I can’t do because I have not yet received the modem. Any suggestion from within the community only loops back to the community. How can I get a simple order status on my modem? Tags I can’t add include: Order, Order Status, Customer Support, Tracking

I keep getting the same error message using admin for username and password for the password for the web access. I’ve also tried admin for password (all lower case). I then did a reset with the button on the bottom. The modem rebooted, but it still won’t take the default username and password. This modem was new out of the package and is successfully connected with my spectrum internet. Device Status button works fine. Any suggestions? Thanks

Newly purchased refurb'd device and not sure what or where password is.

Long story short the Surfboard app parental control is working. However, I ran out of “blocks” (seriously, only 32 !?), and saw that the gui web interface also allows for blocking from there also. (1) The gui parental controls do not allow for dashes “-”. Given there are many domains with dashes, why not? (2) Everything was going fine. I had 25 listed in gui. No problemo. After we had to power-reset one day I saw they were down to 15. I added them again. A few days later we had to power reset (not a factory reboot just a power outage) and once again down to 15. I added them back once more. Then I saw that the ones I added back, although they were listed in the gui software, they were not actually blocking anything anyway (I tested from a laptop afterwards). I come back and they are still there and listed. They stay there and remain listed. Until we have a power cut. Then they vanish as if by magic. I have had a problem with hackers.
