SB 6190 Modem not supported by current surfboard app, old app too old for my Samsung phone???

My modem is not showing up and my network my Wi-Fi is working properly from Comcast internet but my device is not showing up I need help

I have a G34 on Cox that has good internet connection on 5Ghz (but with very poor range. The 2.4 Ghz has Wifi with good range but NO internet. I’ve tried changing to every channel, restarting the Gateway, but no luck. Any ideas to resolve would be appreciated please.

despite numerous attempts to rectify this with troubleshooting efforts, the internet connection keeps periodically dropping out.  I use an ethernet connection to the router, and the ISP is Sparklight.  This is very disconcerting, since I am often teaching online when it happens!  I have rebooted the router numerous times, checked all cables, etc..  I can’t seem to get through to “customer support”  either.  I just bought this cable modem/router last month on advice of the ISP and it’s been very frustrating, to say the least.

Trying to get my printer online with the G34 model.  I input all the information, it is wireless, and input the ID number..  It always produces an error notice.  I printed the error report and it says the MAC address filtering may be enabled on the router which can prevent printer from connecting to the router.  How do I cange the MAC address of the printer to the list permitted devices for the router?Current configuration of the MAC address  is [edit: removed personal information]     How do I enter that into my printer?

Connected to internet but WiFi with Linksys router not working…no WiFi 

HELP!!! Someone has hacked my Arris G35/G36 wifi modem twice. I believe it is someone in working the industry. My internet provider/server is WOW! but they tell me they cannot help because I own the wifi modem. I need help stopping the hacking into my system. The person or persons who is doing this is getting into modem Gateway settings and changing the configurations. I am fighting to get and keep my bandwidth of 1 gig from the hacker(s).

I recently bought the SB8200 and every time i try to use the app is says troubke connecting to the backoffice service how long is the app going to be down for? 

I reset my modem and now it is back to the factory name TP-link***** and says enter password. Did this come with modem originally. If I don’t have it do a need to buy a new modem?

Can I disable front display lights on SB6190? I saw the same question and a reply with instructions to disable the lights but I actually don't have the option listed in the instructions. I don't know if Arris deleted that option or moved it? They are very bright and makes the room glow at night. Bought March 2024.

I’m having problems setting up my modem.

 I have had issues with the G36 for a few weeks now and have had to reset the modem every two days because internet drops.  I just got this email from Comcast saying Arris is the problem. Comcast claims it will take Arris months to fix the issue… is that true? We've been through 2 routers and 3 modems with the same issues. I was told if I upgraded to DOCIS 3.1 the issues would stop so Spectrum sent us one. Even though Spectrum said everything was fine the problems continued and since I could no longer see the log I bought an Arris S33. The levels have had a downward trend since January and the errors have increased to multiple daily timeouts. Tech support has re-provisioned the modem twice which helps for about a week.They've sent several techs out in the last couple months who have tested everything and said there's no issues outside. The last tech checked the attic and found a couple improperly clamped F connectors which he fixed. I've also bought all new cables and factory reset both the modem and router several times.Ive attached the levels and log which clearly show everything is not fine and we continue to have multiple disconnections every day. Spectrum tech support has been fairly rude, stating they don't care about T3 timeouts, only

I would like to set a time block from night 10 pm to 5 am next day morning.  But I am only able to set from 10 pm to 11:59 pm and I am not able to find how to set for the remaining duration of sleep time by adding another time block.  How can I achieve a night sleep time for few devices on the network?

I posted this about 2 months ago.  I made the adjustments, but I’m still having issues.  In fact, my “guest” network is actually much faster than my main network so I’m not sure what to do.  I created a home network, guest network, and IOT network.  Still it’s not improving. Does anyone have suggestions?  I’m not sure if there are more specific ways to “modify” the modem or settings?  I’m good with technology but no means a modem/network guy. Thanks for any help! I recently returned my xfinity modem/router and purchased a new one.  My IT Guy at work suggested the upgrade to speed up my service.I have the SB8200 modem and TP-Link - AX1800 WiFi 6 Router.I hooked everything up, but the wifi seems to be slower than before.  I don’t know if something isn’t configured correctly? I’m no expert at all so any help would be appreciated.  Here are the screenshots I thought might help.

ImageImageImageI am trying to connect my modem to my network and facing issues I want you to help troubleshoot for me(it is a arris surfboard model sb2800 docsis 3.1 cable modem. I’ve been waiting thirty minutes and the light has only shown solid blue on the downstream. It needs to show either solid blue or solid green on the connection(very bottom one) to work. Look at the attached screenshots for reference.

Can the Max WC4T be used as an extender?

I am buying a Used, returned, opened box arris SB8200. wondering if I should concern of possibility that someone might implant a malware in it?  I don’t think I can update firmware myself and am not sure if service provider will update it as it is my own modem.   thanks

Spectrum says this modem cannot be updated I am trying to check if the current software  I have is the correct one.

Hi All,I have a Surfboard SBG8300 with WiFi enabled. WiFi is bad in other areas of the property.  Here is the challenge.i have quite a large property:SBG8300 is installed in a thermally controlled AV Room with A LOT of other equipment.All SBG8300 switch ports are in use 3 go to separate Cisco 28 port Switches to flood Ethernet across the property, the last Switch port connect to a Security NVR directly.i need to improve the WiFi signal from the SBG8300 to other areas of the property. I’m not sure if I should use the ARRIS SURFBOARD mAX 6e Mesh units maybe 2 or 4  and connect their Wan Ports back to the Cisco 28 port switches or do this some other way..I tried to do this with Apple Extreme Routers and put those in Bridge mode just to extend the 8300 WiFi but it causes me nothing but problems so right now those are paper weights. Looking for community guidance here. Thanks. 

Trying to connect Arris X5042 to improve WI Fi connectivity to my devices. I’ve used the WPS button to connect the Arris to my Fiber Gateway Wi-Fi 6 router which also complies with Wi-Fi EasyMeshTM. I was unable to find the Artis App for my iPhone to complete the the installation but I do have a solid green light on the Arris after connecting using WPS. I did find a surfboard Arris app that didn’t have the Arris X5042 listed as a device supported by the app? Not sure now if any of my devices are connected to the Arris? In wifi settings on my phone, I don’t see any new networks to confirm that the installation was successful. I don’t even see the X5042 listed anywhere on the community? Thanks!
