Are there any updates or drivers available for an older Arris SBR-AC3200P Wifi Router?

How can I get the network secured? 

Spectrum website says if you have own equipment, contact manufacturer for assistance. 

I am suffering repeated, intermittent loss of internet service, running an SB6190 on Comcast/Xfinity service.  I believe the problem is on the Comcast side, but would like to know how to confirm this.  I am very reluctant to call Comcast, given past customer service experiences.  Also, at this point, I am unable to log into my Surfboard simply because I don’t know the UserID or password.  So my questions are: Was there a default password?Are there symptoms or diagnostics that I could run to confirm that the modem is functioning correctly?If I do a hard reset on the Surfboard will I be able to establish a new user ID/password?  Any advice on how to configure the device if that proves necessary?

I upgraded my Xfinity plan from 50 Mbps to 300Mbps after purchasing an SB8200 modem.When the modem is connected directly to my computer, I get 300Mbps.When the modem is connected to my router I get the speed of my old Xfinity plan: 50Mbps.I am using two CAT5e cables, each of which, when connected directly from modem to computer get 300 Mbps. I did a hardware reset of my router with no change.My router: TP-link AC2300 Any ideas what might be going on? 

We’ve been having issues with our wifi since December 2023. We replaced our old Arris modem with the same model just new modem at the time and we have still been unable to have consistent wifi connection. We have Optimum as our service provider and they have came out to check in their end and have even replaced the Coax cable saying that was the root issue. That service call was back in January and here we are back in March having the same issues. They are coming out tomorrow to check on it again but just curious if anyone has had any issues like this before. It is incredibly annoying to try to work and do school work with no internet at home.

I was using a 6141 but T4 timeouts kept it rebooting.   Went to the 8200 because I wasn’t getting any help with the T3/T4 problems.  So, I think your just fine as long as your local Optimum network is good.   I couldn’t live with the T4 timeouts and reboots.   Oh … my provider is Optimum too.   Not saying my 8200 is doing much better.   No event log,  it staggers at times,  claims it is up when our connected devices say otherwise.   But yeah, calling your provider for a list of supported modems is the answer.

My cable modem/Wi-Fi router recently died due to a storm. I am looking for a cable modem/Wi-Fi mesh system. My house is about 3500 ft.², with multiple levels. I also have Wi-Fi based cameras on the exterior of my residence and shop. So I’m wanting to have maximum Range, and feel a message is best. I’m looking for the best solution for cable modem, and Wi-Fi. Suggestions? 

cannot update “password” password on 7600 even though it meets criteria. When I try again, it tells me that the old password “password” is not correct.  

I just got the G36 wifi modem and am trying to connect everything.  My laptop used to recognize the 5 GHz wifi but every time I open up my laptop I have to reconnect and it no longer shows this option so not sure what to do!  My printer only recognizes the 2.4 GHz or guest but does that mean anything on the 5GHz can’t print from this air printer?  I’m sorry if these are dumb questions but my phone and tablet no longer find the printer and they are on the 5 GHz!  Appreciate any info!  This has been quite frustrating!

Dear Arris Community I have an Arris G36 and want to find out what the best WiFi extender is for this model Paul 

My SBG7600 appears to lose its connection with the internet while downloading software updates or when trying to connect to a remote server. This is happening while on wi-fi or on a cabled connection. When the update is downloading the transfer rate might be 108 Mgb per second and slowly drops until the connection is lost. I might not have a connection for 2 to 3 minutes, and then the connection is re-established and repeats after maybe 5 minutes. Can someone help me with this? ThanksJim 

This has been going on for over 3 weeks and I’ve been in contact with Xfinity, company IT, and the VPN support team.My internet cuts out on all devices every few minutes ONLY when connected to the VPN. My internet is stable if I connect with my phone’s hotspot or other wifi network, so it’s definitely an issue with the router. This was not an issue until 3 weeks ago.Everyone is blaming everyone else and they refuse to help me find any of the settings I need to adjust in the admin panel.How can any of this be resolved? What settings can I adjust without messing up everything else? Xfinity support tells me not to change any of the settings because it’s all optimized. I have tried connecting the ethernet cable directly to the computer, but that does nothing. We have updated the VPN software, uninstalled, reinstalled, turned off, reconnected.

My ipv6 constantly attempts to provision DHCPv6. Each attempt displays as a critical failure in the event log (see an extract below). Eventually the modem then drops all connections to DHCP including v4 and no devices can connect to the internet. My ISP says there are no problems on their end and the modem looks good from their side. The error messages in the event log are below. I get a pair of messages like this every minute or two:ti_dhcp6c: 72001009-DHCPv6 - No Advertise or Reply Received 558 times     03/13/2024 16:25:21    Critical ti_dhcp6c: 72001004-DHCPv6 Provision - 77 Retries Attempted with Last attempt at Wed Mar 13 22:23:24 2024     03/13/2024 16:25:21    Critical  How do I get this to stop so the modem will work?

I bought a simple range extender. Can I use it without switching to bridge mode? Why can’t I find it in my network? Thanks for any help you can offer.

I ordered modem then it declined because billing address error and I’ve tried disputing with bank but they said no error was made and I don’t have the modem .how long does refund take since the money is gone from account and I ordered from surfboard or was that a scam ? I ordered march 4, it was declined March 5 so is it automatically refunded as it’s out of stock now I can’t even reorder it ?

I am trying to login to my Surboard SVG2482AC but can’t.  I can see my router and all of the connected devices when I go to http://10.0.0.1/ but I can’t login. I am using “admin” as the username and for the password I have tried “password,” the password printed on the surfboard, and the password I use for connecting devices to the router.  None of them work.  It is very possible that I changed the default password at setup but I do not have a record of it.  How can I find/retrieve my login credentials? 

Lights on the back  Ethernet ports are both flashing green. Is this ok?

I just bought a SB8200 to replace an older arris modem, and while my wifi is working, nothing on my hardwired network is connecting.  I have the modem connected to an 8 port switch, and then router is connected through the switch, as well as my Apple TVs and Hue bridge. The router is getting signal and the wifi works fine but the other devices can’t connect. 

Is anyone else having a problem with their G34 stuck in a constant reboot?   They had me reboot it because I was having connection issues and now it just keeps restarting over and over again. 

On fing showing open ports from phone numbers Is that normal 

Can I connect xfi pod (WiFi extender) to my g34 cable modem?

I can't get the password for the g36.mondem

Got a G34 now and its still happening. ISP wont do anything for the issue have called multiple times. Is there anything  I can buy that would help level out the power levels?
