How do I find my network path?

I am having the same problem with the G54 Modem/router and Xfinity.  The modem is active, and I am able to use devices and stream while connected to it, but on Xfinity’s end, it appears offline. I also can’t complete the instillation process in the Surfboard app and without these two steps I can’t test speed and know if my large investment is really worth it.

I’ve looked all over the web for a way to turn on remote management for my modem/router combo (model SBG7600AC2), but can’t find that option. Does this model device just not have it? Is it possible that the ISP is restricting me from doing this type of this? I just want the ability to access my modem/router remotely not having to connect to the local WiFi or Ethernet connections. I already have DDNS created and set up, but it still isn’t working.

My ISP is Frontier and we have the fastest internet speed they offer for our area: 14 Mbps . Upload is about 2 Mbps.The service came with an Arris NVG558 modem/router combination. If we upgrade to a better combined modem/router, can we increase the strength of the wifi signal?  

So I am currently living in an apartment that has community WiFi that is extremely bad. So I’m trying to set up my old router as a bridge in order to hopefully boost up the WiFi. But I am unable to login to change the settings. I’ve tried the default username and password, as well as the security password on my router. I’ve also tried resetting my router but nothing is letting me log into the admission page.

Wondered how long you could run your BGW210 on an external battery backup power supply?  The answer is quite a long time--it draws only12 Watts while on and transmitting wi-fi. I measured this draw at the 110V input to its EPS36R0-16 adapter supply (which is rated much higher at about 36 Watts). The measurement was made using the power meter built into my Generac GB1000  uninterruptible power supply.  FYI--When the BGW210 is also producing the dialtone on a connected landline, it draws one additional Watt.    

I’ve set up this gateway several times and the only problem I had was that all the old SSIDs keep popping up in my wifi settings. But now I’ve reset the gateway once again, and my computers, etc will hook up to it with the default settings. But when I try to set it up using the Surfboard app, I get to the point where I scan in the QR code on the gateway, and it is apparently reading it wrong. It gives me a message to “move closer to the mAX router.” I don’t have the mAX router, as noted above. I can’t get past this point, and if I try logging in through my browser, it’ll let me change the SSIDs, but when I change my admin/password info for security, I get locked out, and can’t get back into my admin site.What the hey is going on????I hope somebody can help me with this!

2 major problems with my G36. I need to make sure the 2.4Ghz remains saved as well as the WPA2 selection I choose! It's not accepting and saving my changes.  Very frustrating. I've saved sooo many times and it does not stay.

How to change my WiFi name and password  

HELP! HAD ISSUES WITH MODEM NOW WORKING BUT DEFAULTED TO ORIGINAL NAME AND PASSWORD (OUT OF WARRANTY). CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS AND DIRECTING ME TO WHERE IT CAN BE CHANGED??  THANK YOU!!!! 

I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but I get my normal download speeds when the bridge mode is disabled which is around 900, but when I enable the bridge mode option, my download speed is 200 or less. The upload speed seems to be the same. Any thoughts or do I need to return this modem?

Called Centurylink and they told me I had to contact you to update the device to get it registered on their system. They told me to give you the code PTM tagged 201

I have a G36 and it is configured to provide both 2.4G and 5G networks. In the router, everything looks fine.  Broadcast network name is checked.However, the 5G network doesn’t show up as being available on any devices. I have even tried to join by specifying the SSID, but it says a network with that SSID is not found.

I constantly have to reboot my cell to make a phone call please advize

I am looking to use the bridge mode on G54 in order to connect to a tp-link Omada device to balance load with the tplink device. the Omada device does not receive any data from the G54 after enabling bridge mode in the arris g54. am i missing something on the surfboard side?  

I have a Arris SBG8300 DOCSIS3.1 Modem Router. I had separate bands for WiFi, one 2.4 GHz and other 5 GHz. Both used to show up on wifi settings for connection. For the past two days I don’t see 2.4 GHz band anymore. I seldom see the 2.4 GHz band but when I try to join that network, I get the message “Couldn’t join network”. I have smart devices which use 2.4 GHz band and since 2.4 GHz is no more available, all the smart devices are useless. I have tried restarting the modem. I have also done a factory reset but 2.4 GHz band does not show.Any help is appreciated.

My 2.4 band suddenly stops working. It broadcasts but none of my 2.4 devices which are a lot can connect. I've restarted, reset, change security, change channels, bands.... nothing works. Any help will be appreciated. G36

I just have bought Arris G36 several day ago. Today, when I am watching youtube, then SSID  5GHz auto disappear, and I also can’t connect internet. I have to plug out power cord and plug in again is ok. This is new device, but why does it have problem like this? 

The 4 Channel’s Upstream Power Levels on my ARRIS SBG7600AC2 are  between 44.25 dBmV (the lowest) - 45.50 dBmV (the highest). Are those levels low? Can they be increased? If so, how can they be increased?I am experiencing low WiFi Signals for both my wireless Blink Camera System, and my Amazon Firesticks. If that signal is settable within my Modem\Router please help me increase it. If not, can ARRIS tweak those settings for me? Thank you!

Well, I tried locating my User Manual for the SBG7600AC2 with no luck. I recall something about accessing the 7600 that is in bridged mode by accessing its 5G wifi. Also using 192.168.100.1 to gain access. Well that did not work. Is the only option left to disconnect it from the UDM-Pro and plug directly into the 1st port on the modem?Your thoughts

Is there command line access on the Arris BGW210?

I am having problem setting the uint up for use for internet  I did do  manually set up but it didnt work still getting connection needed message

My G54 arrived today and I’ve replaced the rented comcast device. The G54 has a greater reach but still not as far as I need it to be. I’d like to extend the wifi signal and wondering the best way to do this. My tech knowledge is minimal and I don’t understand the difference between extender, bridge and mesh. Which product would you recommend. Also wondering if any of these will match the wifi 7 signal and if not, will they be upgradable via firmware or is there new hardware soon to be released. Thank you.

So this router was purchased only a year ago, now its consistent problems. All of a sudden within the past week it kicks off every device on the network, then restarts, then kicks everything off every 15-30 minutes. Theres only about 7 devices. The device will not show me any logs regarding why it's doing this.  I restarted the router wiping previous settings and set it up again. This corrected the problems for about 1 day. It started happening again, I reset it again, this time it hasnt corrected the issue. What's upsetting is I see arris doesnt support this router/modem. Personally I think if you arent going to support something or plan to discontinue support for a device within a year it shouldnt be sold.
