How to update arris TG2482 router?

My internet provide changed my modem from Arris SBG7580-AC to Arris TG3442s modem now have a NAS drive which I used to connect to it via VPN and cannot connect. Tried port forwarding, DMZ, mac brigding but still cannot connect to it.

Seeing large number of correctable and uncorrectable errors when accessing cable modem. Not sure what would cause these. Access cable modem info using 192.168.100.1 and have setup a script that captures info every 30 minutes. #!/usr/bin/bashwhile :dowget2 http://192.168.100.1/cgi-bin/status_cgi --no-check-certificatesleep 1800done have another script that extracts data into a spreadsheet, and then note changes in max errors from each 30 minute block. Latest results With comparison date of different blocks looking like this. Looked for info on what powerlevels and other things should be. Saw one thing saying the powerlevels should be between 15 and -15? Was getting numbers lower than -15, so disconnect everything but cable modem, and got power level numbers to sometimes have levels in positive range and under -10. As of recent me and my family have been finding our Arris TG3542A has been producing tremendous amounts of packet loss and I am unsure as of what to do with it. I have been unable to find anything helpful on the internet in my countless hours of research and we are supposed to be getting 1000+ mbps but we only get 20-40 mbps. Please help.

I try to access the configuration of my router, and everything is in order, the problem is that I cannot access its advanced configuration, the option simply does not appear or it appears in a gray box, I cannot change anything, I can only access the basics and I need change some settings in the "Advanced" section, I think it's because the firmware is not updated and I can't find information about it. I hope someone can help me, thank you very much for your time.

Hi, I can’t find the specs for my Arris tm722g modem. I have a 10/100/1000 ethernet port on my computer, a 15 Mbps internet connection (through the phone/cable company), so I wonder if the TM722G is fast enough to take advantage of the 10/100/1000 ethernet port. My question comes from the fact that I notice some lags when streaming 4k videos. Computer is currently connected via LAN/ethernet. Thanks,

I have an Arris TG2482A modem in my house which I have been using for quite a while now. I like to play multiplayer games on my PS4 and at first I didn't have any problems with it; I'd get a NAT type 2 or moderate. But overnight my NAT type changed from moderate to strict, and now I can't play most online games anymore. I tried enabling UPNP and port forwarding but to no avail, I still have get NAT type strict. As far as I can gather, port forwarding should be enough for me to get NAT type moderate. Does anyone know what else I can try? I also tried activating DMZ for my PS4's IP address band that unfortunately didn't work either.

I’m struggling to connect a new camera to my home system. The camera manufacturer’s support team thinks that it could be due to Bonjour / mDNS being blocked. Can anyone confirm whether this could be the case? If so, how can I unblock it?

I’d like to know if someone could answer this question, Which Arris Router/modem is comparable to the Xfinity Xfi Arris Group, inc. TG3482G Router/modem, or Xfinity’s Gateway rentable router modem combo? Similar specs, etc.? Thanks

I work for a small ISP. We have been given alot of the Arris TG862G Modem’s. I have been looking for a way for us to access them of the wan side. However, I have not been able to do so. If any one knows how I can make this work. That would be great.

Arris app can't find my network from my phone settings, even tho I disconnect modem for 10 secs, then clicked on Retry

Hi, I have an Arris TG2482 device. I want to create a VLAN to separate my TV + smart lights etc from the rest of my devices. Please note my networking experience is close to nothing. Is the virtual server the same thing as VLAN? What exactly put in as parameters when creating it? Can someone please guide me through the process? Or at least ease the pain when trying to do it. I have understood that in order for the VLAN to function, I need to link it to one of the physical ports in the Modem/Router TG2482. Is it an issue if I have ethernet cables connected to all of them already? Does the VLAN port need to be empty? Then, how to actually connect a smart light to the VLAN? Thanks for the help :)

I had a TM1602A that crapped out on me so I replaced it with the same one...now, I can't connect with my optimum router. Do I need to buy a new optimum modem?? Since this newly replaced modem is refurbished...I dont know the password or how to get it....any help would be great!! Tks!

I lost my username to be able to log into my router so I can change the network password. I see that my modem isn’t supported any longer. I know it has been changed from the default, and I’m on my last attempt before I get locked out. Help!

How do I update my TG862G router?

Hello all, and happy to be part of the new community! My most recent Arris product was the T25, and I was extremely happy with it as it was very dependable and trouble-free. Last year, I updated my home network to support multi-gig and was surprised/disappointed to see that I didn’t have an Arris option when it came to an eMTA with a 2.5 Gb (or higher) Ethernet port. Even now, I don’t see that Arris has entry on the market… any plans?

Can the voice products be used with any service provider? I only see the Comcast xfinity logo on the box
