192.168.0.1 uses an unsupported protocolGUI, ERR, SSL, TLS, Login
A browser message on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, and Linux browsers may appear when accessing Web Manager on SURFboard gateway models SBG6400/SBG6580-2/SBG6700-AC/SBG6782-AC/SBG6900-AC. The message includes 192.168.0.1 uses an unsupported protocol and ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH. The Web Manager uses an earlier version of the TLS (Transport Layer Security protocol) protocol and does not match the version allowed by the web browser. Safari browser on Apple PC and mobile devices are not impacted. The workaround to access the Web Manager with PC is to use Firefox browser and set the TLS to version 1. We recommend to revert the TLS setting back to default after completing the Web Manager task. Set TLS version 1 in FirefoxEnter about:config in the Firefox address bar and press the Enter key. Click the Accept Risk and Continue button. Enter security.tls.version in the Search preference name field, . Locate security.tls.version.min and click the pencil icon. Enter the value
I am not getting the data transfer rate of 300 Mbps that Spectrum says I’m supposed to get and they say it is because the modem. According to your website, the Surfboard SBG6580 cable modem has a maximum data transfer rate of up to 343 Mbps down. Saying up to 343 Mbps means anything above 0 to 343 Mbps! In some data transfer rate test tests in the past, I have gotten around 235-to around 258 Mbps down. Just a little while ago, it was only 153.1 Mbps down. Another issue is the lack of Technical Support for the product by the company! It seems Support is getting worse generally for things. In the past I have been able to call and speak to a person. Can’t it be done now?
I’ve been having this nagging issue ever since xFinity did some kind of local maintenance in my area and my internet connection keeps dropping out. Some times it will be up for a few hours, others just 1-2 hours but always drops just the same.I have included some images from the logs. Any help would be appreciated. I have a domain that is set up to the router WAN. That appears to work from outside the LAN. But from inside the LAN I cannot access my service (webpage running on Linux) unless I use the IP address directly. I tried to create a Manual DNS Entry, and the router says it accepted the entry, and then I reset the DNS cache on my internal PC, and when I then run tracert it still returns the WAN address, and cannot access the webpage. What am I doing wrong?
I have the model DG3450 i guess (it says it on the bottom), it only has two status lights (Online and Wifi) which are supposed to be green. I came home from work 3 days ago and noticed that their now light blue and have been like this since. I’ve tried unplugging and resetting but whenever it comes back on it just goes back blue and doesn’t do anything else. I’m not sure what to do?
I’m looking for a gateway to replace my current one provided by my ISP (Huawei EchoLife EG8143A5), and was wondering if the ARRIS NVG578LX GPON Gateway was still available anywhere. If so, how can I get my hands on one? I understand the models are different as the ARRIS one doesn’t support CATV, but I’ll be removing that service from my ISP anyways. If there are any other compatibility issues, I would certainly love to know them. I would greatly appreciate all suggestions. Thanks!
We have ONLY internet through our cable provider, hooked up with the ARRIS DG 3450 wifi-modem. It says that it’s MO CA 2.0 channel bonding enabled. I want to extend wired internet to another room with two coax jacks. With the modem being enabled for MO CA 2.0, how are the MO CA adapters to be hooked up? I cannot find anything on youtube that addresses this and our internet provider will NOT provide any sort of advice at all. Thanks!
This is one big joke ! Arris keeps posting coming soon and it says mid this year mid year has passed we are in July unless the meant mid year 2024 ! Why the are not clear at all , here comes July the 4th where they would have sold Millions of G54 in one day only in the USA. Looks like very unreliable company we dealing with . Thank you
I would like to know if you have any router wifi with Matter compatibility (Matter 1.0 or 1.1, the standard for the IoT home connectivity). I looked through internet and I saw that you (Arris) provides routers to Comcast with WiFi 6 and with Matter. Does it have the matter controller installed? Where can I buy it?https://corporate.comcast.com/press/releases/comcast-wifi-6e-fastest-router-gateway-10G-low-latency Thank you. Regards.
I’m trying to log into the web manager of my arris surfboard SBG6782 but when I put in the username of the wifi and the original password it just keep saying it’s incorrect and try again and this is after I factory reset it. If anyone can help me out to find the password /username anywhere on the box it would be great!
