192.168.0.1 uses an unsupported protocolGUI, ERR, SSL, TLS, Login
A browser message on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, and Linux browsers may appear when accessing Web Manager on SURFboard gateway models SBG6400/SBG6580-2/SBG6700-AC/SBG6782-AC/SBG6900-AC. The message includes 192.168.0.1 uses an unsupported protocol and ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH. The Web Manager uses an earlier version of the TLS (Transport Layer Security protocol) protocol and does not match the version allowed by the web browser. Safari browser on Apple PC and mobile devices are not impacted. The workaround to access the Web Manager with PC is to use Firefox browser and set the TLS to version 1. We recommend to revert the TLS setting back to default after completing the Web Manager task. Set TLS version 1 in FirefoxEnter about:config in the Firefox address bar and press the Enter key. Click the Accept Risk and Continue button. Enter security.tls.version in the Search preference name field, . Locate security.tls.version.min and click the pencil icon. Enter the value

Blocked unallowed devices
I’ve got an Arris DG3450 modem/router combo. Under Parental Control Reports it shows “blocked unallowed devices” and 2265 attempts. What are these blocked devices? Are these devices trying to connect to wifi? Are these devices on my site that are blocked from accessing certain sites?
Where would I look to find my WEP key?
I need the WEP key for usage on a video game console. The console specifically notes how the security employed by the modem is a level above what it usually handles, so it needs the WEP key instead of just the regular password I would use to connect. I, of course, tried to password but it says that is invalid. So I am asking where I can find my WEP key for my modem.
Enable Wife on DG1670a
I replaced my Arris DG1670a modem/router with a new one, purchased on Facebook Market, because WiFi stopped working a few days ago. The new modem has the same issue. Everything appears to be working correctly but in configuring the modem, the Enable Wifi check box is grayed out. I can rename the SSID and create a new password, but will not enable wireless on either the 2.4 or 5G. Also on reboot, the wifi lights come on and I was even able to connect, but it soon shuts down the wifi connections. My internet service is through Spectrum. Does anyone have an idea Enable wifi stays grayed out?

ONT battery false fail
Hi-For a couple of weeks we kept hearing a half second “beep” somewhere in the house every so often. It was about to drive me nuts trying to zero in on it since we have so many electronic devices in the home, I’ve lost hearing in my left ear making audio depth perception difficult, and the sound was so brief. Finally defining that it was exactly every 15 minutes, we stationed ourselves yesterday at various points when it was expected to sound, and I discovered it was coming from the Frontier/Ziply fiber optic installation behind a couch in a room we rarely frequent. I noted red lamps on it that implied the 12v battery had failed. I removed it and rushed it to our local ACE Hardware just before they closed hoping to find a proper replacement, but they didn’t have one. At home I checked the battery with my Fluke voltmeter and found it had 13.4 volts and wouldn’t take a charge because it was fully charged already. I reinstalled that battery and reset the device. The annoying beeping

SBG7580 Modem Upload Speed Tanked, Router Speed Fine. Help?
Combo modem/router. I use ethernet cable for my desktop. Started having problems with websites, especially those where I am uploading or sending info, bogs down and times out. Standard speeds from ISP are 600mbps download and 12mbps upload. Now I am getting far less than 1mbps upload. I recycled, rebooted, ran scans, etc. As part of my troubleshoot I disconnected the ethernet from the modem and connected via Wi-Fi and that solved my upload speed issue immediately, websites working fine now, BUT it cut my download speed in half. Does this indicate an issue with the modem? No firmware updates offered. Out of warranty. Any help or ideas appreciated!
ARRIS SBG6700-AC - CAUSING STATIC ON MY AM RADIO
I have an Arris Surfboard SBG6700-AC cable modem router. I like to listen to AM talk shows when I am working at my computer. When I have my Arris turned on it creates heavy static noise on any AM radio playing in the house. On the other hand, when I try FM it plays without static. I really need static free AM radio. Is there some type of adjustment I can do to my Arris? Thank you.

I keep getting this error so that I cannot log into my router. I have tried Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera and get the same message on all. I have cleared my browser, checked the time and date, restarted the router (several times) with no luck. This site can’t provide a secure connection192.168.0.1 uses an unsupported protocol.ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCHHide detailsUnsupported protocolThe client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite. I have been told it is a problem with the certificate. Does Arris have a new certificate that can be installed?
Arris HEVC Cable Box - can use 2 remotes?
Hi. I’ve got an Arris HEVC 4K Ultra HD cable streaming box, and a branded remote from my cable provider with their logo and a Netflix button on it. This remote is connected via Bluetooth. I got a 2nd remote, also branded from my cable provider. Can I have 2 remotes connected by Bluetooth that both work? The pairing instructions only seem to work for the first one. Thanks!
Why does my SBG6782-AC hung and needs reboot every two days
I’ve been using my SBG6782-AC gateway with Xfinity cable (300Mb/10Mb) for several years without needing any reboots. I’ve noticed in the last three months my gateway would get hung about every two days--all the front-panel lights stay lid and all wifi connections dropped--and the only solution is to recycle power to the gateway. Does anyone have this problem? I’m wondering if the circuit board is dying and some electronic components need to be replaced. I’m using both wired and n/ac wifi mode. Looking at the modem logs revealed no clues. Thanks for any insights.
