As shown in an earlier post, when using Chrome, the Event Log is unavailable. A mod had posted that using a different browser or Incognito mode might help, and that indicated that Arris was aware of the problem. The mod asked for feedback, but the post was closed to comments.Kind of difficult to give feedback if you shut off commenting, isn’t it?I was using Chrome to access, got the same results as the original poster. I switched to MS Edge, and after okaying, gained access, and noted that the Event Log indeed was visible in Edge.The Event Log had been accessible recently, so this problem has only began lately. It would be appropriate for Arris to formally acknowledge it, and take steps to rectify it. Not, ignore it.It is tiresome to, again and again, take “work-arounds” for devices and products sold for hundreds of dollars. Do better.

Xfinity cannot connect w my surfboard modem. Says it already registered to another customer and I should return it to Arris. Suggestions?

Hi,Purchased this device in March of 2023 and It recently failed.  We unplugged, tried different power strips and outlets, etc etc etc.  Finally our ISP Xfinity came to investigate and confirmed that the device was not functional.  We are looking for a replacement or refund.  Please Help!Thanks so muchHilary

I am using an external Linear power supply for my surfboard, 8200 modem. Is the diameter of the pin in the power inlet 2.1 or 2.5? Thank you

How do I speak with a Arris Surfboard technical person for help

I just switched to this new Arris Modem and can’t get my Samsung TV to be recognized For Internet access. It’s connected to the network, but not the Internet.

New sb8200  the lower blue light turned green after 3 weeks use.  Provider wifi has a good signal. I checked.   The eero extenders are on as a few devices have signal and are working!  I have unplugged the modem and pushed in the reset button several times to no avail.   Down stairs tv on signal, upstairs tv has signal. What gives? 

Trying to log into an active modem by using the browser.  Used the default password (last 8 s/n) and then it immediately prompts me to change the password; I’m good with that.  But when I enter the new password (example Abc#1234) is continues to prompt me to enter a valid password.  According to the displayed syntax it is correct.  I’ve tried multiple variations and when I leave something out the correct error message displays (such as numeric required, etc.).  I’m stuck in an infinite loop; every time I use a valid password I continue to get the popup “192.168.100.1 says Please enter a valid New Password.”  Modem is running fine so I don’t want to reset the modem.  Any suggestions for a solution?

I messaged Xfinity and I get the same issue.. nothing's wrong with Internet.. ok then why am I getting only 400mbps.. I pay for 1.2 and I'm not even getting 500.. for all that I should just pay for what I am getting.. anyone no how to help me fix my problem

As of last week I purchased a new Surfboard S33 modem and it seemed to have blocked port 51820 OR has done something to conflict with the port management settings I’ve made within my Google Nest Wifi (Connected through 2.5 Gbs port). I’m aware that modems do not have firewalls and the router is what provides this but the only constant for my port being closed has been this modem / the re-activation of my modem with Spectrum. I’ve even reached out 2-3 times to ask if they had anything in place that would block the port when it was re-activated.

Let me start by saying that I have purchased a new SB8200, had a tech replace the coax in the wall and he also provided me with a new cable. My modem signal levels, and I forget the exact values he specifically mentioned, are in the dead center of the allowed ranges. “Perfect” is how he described them (for what that's worth) because they could fluctuate and still be within the desired range.I did not have any issues with packet loss until I purchased 3.1 modems. I also own a g36 and experience the same phenomenon of 1-4% packet loss out at rather constant rate. I do not game with a router and I unplugged directly into the modem itself. I have tried different ethernet cords. I have also used the hidden troubleshoot menu on my series x and completely factory reset it… twice.I recently read a thread that someone else with a 3.1 modem was experiencing packet loss out as well. Hello,  I work from home using ethernet directly into the modem (hard wired) and have been having several intermittent connectivity issues.  System stall, and the modem losses internet connection.My work tech support says it's my provider. My internet provider says it's my modem.  What is the life of a modem? I think mine is about 4 years old.   And, what are the signs /symptoms that indicate my modem is going bad?

Only green power light. Factory reset does nothing. No flashing lights. No reboot. Nothing. Plugged in for several minutes. New modem. Lights were working. Did a factory reset. Now nothing but "I'm plugged in".

My internet is not working. Xfinity tried to help reboot but not successful. They said the problem may be the modem and I need to contact them but there is no phone number anywhere?? 

I have talked to Cox Tech support twice, they did everything on their end to setup the SB8200.They sent rests to the modem 5 separate times and I unplugged it everytime, the modem does not respond. All the lights go green and only one eventually turns solid blue….absolutley nothing else happens after at least 1.5 hourse on the phone with Cox Tech support.I need this unit replaced.

We as a company have been using the CM820B Cable modem. (240 volt internal PSU)We now want to purchase 100 * CM3200B Devices. 12 volt  external PSU.Cannot find specs for the DC power connector.We need  a “Brick” type PSU 12 volt @ 2 Amp - 2.1 * 5. 5 mm connector does not fit (5.5 to big)Measured supplied PSU  connector @ 1.1 * 5.1mm.Anyone know a “brick” PSU that will work or can confirm the actual size of the connector on the CM3200B

I cant find a clear answer on versions for SB8200.  Other questions have been asked but no clear answer.  Need v3 as preferred for Spectrum.  And am I correct that there is no way to contact Arris support unless you pay for the support tier?  Thanks !
