Xfinity 1200Mbps / 35 Mbps Arris S33 Wired on 2.5Gbps Port - connected to a new Gaming Laptop with a 2.5Gbps port using a new Cat6 - speed test range from 500Mbps / 40Mbps to often only 300Mbps / 40Mbps. Xfinity came out and can’t figure it out. When they connect their own equipment to the coax direct their test show it’s a perfect connection and all signals and power levels are in perfect range…. Very frustrated, this is my second modem, my older one was working until it all of the sudden was no longer compatible with my plan (?) online support was also no help - I have spent hours trying to figure this out

I’m trying to set up an Arris surf S33 V2 modem and it asks to select your internet provider. I have TDS for my provider but it not one of the providers listed. Does this mean the S33 V2 isn’t compatible and if it isn’t what modem would work - Thanks

My SB6190 has intermittent drops throughout the day. I just bought/activated it 3-days ago. My service provider is Spectrum. I work from home and cannot have this happen so frequently. Please help.

I bought this modem yesterday and all lights were on. Today, I only have the 2nd blue light on (which tells me that I’m receiving ok) but NO other lights are on. I’ve rebooted, but it stays the same. I have a nest router attached that works fine. I also attach a switch from the nest, with a cable to my TV - which also works fine and has wired internet access. where did my lights go??? I have RCN internet and a few times a day my internet is dropping out for about a minute or two. When it’s working everything is fine (no speed issues or anything). It’s the random drops that are the problem. At a glance it looks like my upstream power levels are low and I’m getting some errors in the system log that I don’t fully understand (Commanded Power in Excess of 6 dB Below….). RCN’s merlin page also shows micro reflections as red and yellow with values of -17.101 DB (red), -19.522 DB (yellow), -17.845 DB (red).

Can’t connect to server, error 0000-1506. There doesn’t seem to be any way to retry other than deleting and re-adding the device, which I’ve done 3 times with the same result. Suggestions?

I need the input/output voltage, output current, polarity and plug size or a part number of anyone can assist me with finding an AC adapter for SB8200 Arris modem. I went to hook mine up a yr later and cannot find it.

I cannot find the admin and password name

I unplugged the modem & router & internet cable and moved it all to a different location in the house. But the internet plug in the wall must not be hooked up, so I moved it all back to where it all was before. Does the modem need to be reset ?

Internet is still not working

For seemingly no reason my SB8200’s DS light started flashing. There are no reported outages in my area, no cables have been moved, shifted or otherwise touched. I spoke with my ISP and they advised that my modem was not able to be detected. Any suggestions ?

The hard reset username and password - Admin and password - isn’t working. I’ve tried uppercase, lowercase, etc. I’ve also tried one and the other blank. How can I log in?

I went to upgrade my modem and bought a brand new Arris Surfbord DOCSIS SB 6190 to replace my old modem only to discover when I got home that I had bought the exact one again-same exact product with same model number. I know this is a dumb question but am I to assume that because what I just bought at Walmart is new that it’s components inside WILL in fact be an upgrade since it’s a new one? I mean when you replace a modem you want the latest technology and components.

My laptop is directly connected to an SB8200 that is up and running on my ISP(Cox). I can access the modem via cell phone app, but I cannot access via PC. When I browse to 192.168.100.1, there is no response. I can browse the internet, so the modem is active and working. The phone app does not provide access to settings (bridge mode). The IPCONFIG (commandline) lists a gateway IP that does not respond. I’ve tried a lot of other typical modem IPs - nothing enables access to sign into the modem. We have tried numerous ways to sign in, so please do not suggest the methods described in the manual - BEEN THERE - DONE THAT - IT DOESN’T WORK.

I’ve been using very very slow internet for quite some time now , I use xfinity service but purchased your device . Look I know xfinity updates their modems automatically but I’ve never updated your device since purchase . Anyways, I’m suspecting that something is wrong a not only one . I noticed my router is open ? So it says on site . And upnp is the settings it’s currently on. Now I can’t connect at all and I’m gettin an error message saying he following : Internet Connection not available Internet connection is currently NOT available on your mobile device. ARRIS ERROR CODE: 0002-1002 TROUBLESHOOT before contacting support I’ve tried my best to find ways to figure things out in my own but I keep reaching a dead end and login in also fail cuz it says it locked due to fail attempt when I’ve barely have ever tried too do so i looked up the s/n [edit: removed personal information] and it points me to this device in fact being the sb8200 correct me if im wrong

I have been having problems with Xfinity service? I was finding that I would lose all internet connection for 24-36 hours at a time. Ihad Xfinity out and they stated my service was fine and eventually told my my modem was obsolete. I purchased a S33 at that time and all was good. Now three times in the last week I have lost access. It is both WIFI and my hard wired computer. I have attempted to restart the S33 and my router and this does not work. I switch to my hotspot and do what I need to do. I will come home from work and presto wifi is working again without me doing anything. While on support with Xfinity I bypassed my router and plugged my computer directly into the router with no success. They are telling me it is my hardware (router) since they can see it and state it is online. Thoughts?

Is says SB6183 on the modem, just curious to as why this would be.

Moden is less than 2 months old, I had no problems until a few days ago and now just looking at my event log there's more than 150 (Yes, 150) disconnects since the 10th of november, 50 reboots daily. On the 12th it went from 5am-7pm without reboots according to my log (I didn't do anything) and then it went back to rebooting. Already checked the coax cable, manually rebooted the modem, reset the modem, changed power outlets (router on the same power strip doesn't reboot either) and I also left it on without the coax cable and it still rebooted after 30 minutes (I don't know if that's on purpose). I can see the LED change from solid blue -> solid orange -> blinking green -> solid blue over and over again every few minutes (haven't had a solid hour today without rebooting). It doesn't ever turn fully off. Is the S33 a modem/router combo or just modem? I’m not talking about WiFi, I just need to be able to physically connect multiple devices to the LAN interface using a switch and want to make sure it hands out DHCP IP addresses. From what I’ve found the default IP is 192.168.100.1 so it does do some routing but want to make sure I can connect multiple devices on the inside.

Xfinity internet did some recent updates to the service and after that my internet is no longer working. My devices do connect to the Wi-Fi and xfinity says my modem is online however it keeps saying no intervener connection on all my devices.

I have contacted my Internet provider who directed me to you for help. They said I am having issues with the modem locking onto the router?

I have also done a reset via the reset button on the bottom of the modem restoring factory defaults. over this past weekend I have sections of modem logs missing, it there a limit of how much it will keep? Can’t find the latest firmware version for my SurfBoard SB8200, which is in boot loop. Arris official support website for this product is empty, no links.
