I have a TM3402a cable modem. I have my Google mesh WI-FI router plugged into one of the Ethernet ports and it works fine. I would also like to connect my Macintosh via Ethernet, but I am being told that the other Ethernet ports on that modem cannot be used that way. What would be the purpose of 4 Ethernet ports if they are not functional? Thanks

Hi, I have SBG10 modem/router, I lost the admin password as old version Web Manager App has been discontinued and new App SurfboardCentral has been installed. I tried to reset the SBG10 through manual process but since it is still assigned in the Web Manager App, password is not getting reset. I tried - Reseting by taking the internet cable out Reseting with 30-30-30 mode suggested in one of the discussion forum Neither of the method helped. Please advise. Thanks.

TDS uses arris DG3452 but you can't buy it only lease it from TDS. What is the comparable Arris modem/router that a consumer can?

I replaced the SB8200 modem with the S33 modem. In the app I click on REMOVE DEVICE, select the 8200, and click on NEXT. I click on YES in the “You are about to delete the last installed device.” The screen returns to the My Network screen and still shows the SB8200. I then tried Add Device, and the two choices are SURFboard mAX or Gaming Bridge or Network Upgrade Kit. Neither relate to the new S33 modem. Is it a waste of time to even use the app?

How do I change the serial number for my S33 modem? The scanner grabbed the wrong number for my serial number. Thanks.

Hello all. I recently purchased an s33 to replace comcast modem. using the surfboard app and Xfinity app, I was able to get the s33 modem connected, blue light and the Xfinity app showed it. I didn’t have internet though. so it got me thinking, I need a router. I pulled out an old Cisco router I have, connected port FE0/1 and set it for “ip addres dhcp”, it won’t obtain an ip. after hours of frustration, I connected the Comcast modem back up, Cisco router obtained an ip from it. what am I doing wrong? Missing? thanks.

I have recently purchased a modem from Arris for my home WiFi. After activation of the modem, all my home WiFi’s networks aren’t showing up on all of our devices ( phones, iPads…) and my security cameras stopped working because of No WiFi. I called Xfinity (Comcast) to check on my home network’s’ disappearance. Xfinity said that the modem is ONLINE but there is something wrong inside the modem that needs to be configured out by the manufacturer (Arris). Xfinity asked me to call Arris directly for this configuration so Xfinity can get my home WiFi’s networks back. Any help or suggestions please?. Thanks!

I can't find a ssid for Arris sb6190 modem

Hey all, I am having some issues with my SB8200 . Speeds are inconsistent and overall network performance is erratic. After looking at the arris events page it looks like I’m having all sorts of issues. I called my internet provider (optimum) and they tell me that they have NO control over the modem and cannot update the firmware or operating software. They tell me this because I supplied my own hardware and did not user the optimum provided hardware (don’t like paying rental fees). I told them that they should have control over it as this is the latest cable modem standard. How can I upgrade my SB8200 if this is the case? Help!!!!

I have an S33 modem I recently installed only to find that Xfinity will only allow a single public IP address for non-Xfinity modems (obviously to encourage you to rent their modems….). This effectively disables the 2nd ethernet port. Has anyone come up with a simple way to get around this and utilize both ports?

cant login to my router on 192.168.0.1 wants email and password when i set router up i used mac num on modem now it doesn't recognize num or email or password just setup my surfboard acct now but that doesn't work either thanks john

All of a sudden my Arris SURFboard SVG2482AC will not connect to Xfintiy internet. I have contacted Xfinity and did all their steps. I have also reset the moder several times but it still will not connect. Any suggestions?

Yesterday, somehow the signal from the modem to the wifi stopped working. I have good internet hard wired to my mac. I’ve done all the resets on all hardware. Comcast says it’s a modem issue but offered no other help since it’s no their equipment. The only thing that is different is I pay for 800 mbps and I noticed when I do a speed test on the mac now I’m getting 1.1 gbps. I don’t really pay attention to speed so I don’t know if that’s new or has anything to do with it. The download light on the modem is blue now but I’m not sure if it was always that way because I don’t pay attention to that. Could the possible increased speed be the issue? Thanks!

This is an issue that’s becoming more and more frequent to the point that I had to disconnect it and put back my SB6141, which I had for 6 years with no issues. There is nothing wrong with my ISP or connection into the house. This is a hardware failure that has become worse over time since I bought in August. I just want a warranty replacement but can’t even get decent warranty support. Please advise p.s. I wanted to add that I ran the system by bypassing my wifi router. It means I connected the modem directly to one pc I have with the wired connection and the drops are legit; isolated to the MODEM itself.

My SB8200 will not connect to the internet. The upstream and downstream LEDS will turn solid green after a few moments and then the online light will blink for a few minutes before the whole procedure starts again. I’ve had two countless calls and two techs come and say that the signals on the cables are fine, going as far to replace them just incase. No one can find a solution. It’s been provisioned and even reprovisioned by my ISP, and after they blamed faulty hardware I even replaced it with another SB8200 and have the same issue. Apologies for the phone photo of event log, without internet I can’t transfer it from my pc. It’s been a week of trying to get this solved and I’m at my wits end.

Hi, Any trick I am missing trying to restore setting in TG3452 modem/router? I have backup made, but on my new router I go into restore, click on ok, it just blinks and lands me on the same page. All settings aren’t changing. I wait for few minutes, reboot - nothing happens. Restore doesn’t take…. Alex

I have had the SB8200 for 2 years with 1000Mbps Xfinty internet service. I use the speed test from my Orbi Router which has showed about 930 for the last two years. This week the internet has seemed slower so ran the test and its 310Mbps down 22 up. I have rebooted the modem and router. I have asked Xfinity to ping and restart. I plugged my computer to the back of the modem port 1 but my Mac self assigns the ip to a 169 so can't seem to make that work.
