I tried upgrading my mesh network to Eero 6+ from a Tp link Deco system on an Xfinity isp. The Eero wont connect to the modem. I tried everything I know but the only way I can get it to connect is to connect the eero to the tp link router instead of the modem. Is it a gateway issue that I need to allow permissions in the S33 for the eero so i dont have to use the Tp Link?

When I originally set up my home network using a 10.0.0.# IP scheme I swear I could access the SB8200 web browser interface by using 192.168.100 from a computer on my home network with a 10.0.0.# IP address. I know it worked then, because I know I reset the modem’s default admin password. Now I can successfully ping the SB8200 192.168.100.1 IP address, but trying to access the browser interface eventually times out the browser. The router is a Linksys MR7500 and the ISP is Comcast / XFINITY. I have also tried a default reset on the modem and I still cannot access the modem via the web browser interface. Any ideas why I can’t access the modem’s web interface? Do I need to set up special routing on my Lynksys router? Any help would be appreciated.

For the last few weeks my modem has been randomly dropping off line. I was wondering if I could get my event logs analyzed.

The time is off 1 hour on my SB8200. Is there a way to set the time manually?

I purchase the S33 that was factory renewed. It is working fine but the Default admin password is not the serial number. Is there a way to reset the device back to factory default with out it Or and generic PW is may have been set to for testing? Thank you

Have reset the router and had Cox cable confirm Old netgear router will work and pc ethernet connected to modem connect to internet but When attempting to set up Eero gateway signals no internet

If I read the spec correctly, my SB6190 is a 32x8 channel bandwidth. It can handle 800 down and I have not confirmed the upload yet but have read different statements all faster than 50 up. COX told me they have a new program now offering 500/50. I currently have 500/10. The sales Rep told me anyone with 500 down will get 50 up. I told them I am still only getting 10 up and this is after rebooting the modem. COX is telling me because it’s a 3.0 modem and can’t handle the upload speed of 50. About 3 years ago I used to have 300/30 with no issues with download and upload. This doesn’t sound right based on the spec of the modem. especially being a 32x8 channel modem. I have no faith in COX customer service as they have been wrong so many times in the past. Should the SB6190 work at 500/50 which is actually slower than the faster spec of the SB6190. Thank you,

So long story short , i was tinkering with a old model of an arris router from my local isp , it was showing some slow speeds between 1 to2 mb and the owner is paying for 50mb So i saw something about natted mode or bridged mode somewhere in the management page and clicked Briged and it rebooted right away without it asking for a save Now its back up and only one device can be connected at a time , the speed is better but all the other devices on the network are without internet 1st obvious solution is to connect to the modem manually but i don’t have access to that, its locked in a room Somewhere So my question is , is there any other way to access it wirelessly, it doesn’t go by the 192.168.xxx anymore it legit has random ips now , and the gateways for those don’t work Thanks in advance for any help

Hi, I am not sure if my ISP is pushing the latest software version to my SB 8200. How do I confirm if I have the latest version? I see listed on the admin page the following hardware version 6 software version ab01.01.009.51_080720_183.0A.NSH is that the latest?

Just purchased brand new S33 modem. All labels indicating S33v2 (Version 2). When accessing my modem portal (192.168.100.1) Product Information page showing V1.0 Which version do i have?

I'm only getting 400 or 500 speeds and 150 the downloads are 14 on laptop and 25 to 30 on xbox

I recently switched to Voiply internet phone service and I am having issues with them registering my adapter. When I did chat with them, they said I need to disable my SIP ALG. When I did research on how to disable on a SB8200 I read it should be at advanced settings. But when I go to advance settings the only option I see is to enable Link Aggregation Configuration (it is currently disabled). I am at a lost on how to disable. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I just got rid of a 9 year old Motorola/Arris modem where the bottom light would “flicker” when the internet was working. I installed a new Arris SB8200 but I noticed the bottom “globe” light does not flicker; it just stays on steady. Is this normal?

Hi everyone, After several hours on the phone with my ISP, they told me several times that everything on their end is fine, that I need to contact the modem manufacturer for further guidance. My internet plan is 100 Mbps download/ 10 Mbps upload. For several months now my download speed has been hovering around roughly 10, but my upload has been solid at 10+. If I reboot the modem the download speed will jump to 15 or so but only for 1-2 minutes, then back down into single digits. I have this SB8200 modem and a Netgear WNDR4500 router; these speeds are consistent across all my devices, both wi-fi and hard-wired into the router. For the life of me, I can’t connect to the internet when plugged straight into my modem, but I am able to manually set my IP (like the work around sticky says) and obtain my bonded channel status. It looks like 5 of them have a SNR/MER below the levels recommended in the FAQ (one of them is 0!), and 6 channels have uncorrectables that are insanely high-- this pa

All my Ring alarm, laptops, Alexa and direct Tv have no connection. My modem has all the lights on that should be on but the devices don’t connect. This happens about 3 times a day. I have factory reset and have to reset at least three to four times a day. Help please right now we have over 30 devices connected. Just with ring it’s 22

I have been using the SB6190 for over 7 years, and was getting expected performance with Comcast Xfinity until about 1 year ago. As WIFI with my Netgear R7900 seemed to have dropped, I replaced it with Netgear Model RAX54S-100NAS. WIFI improved significantly, but my download speed over ethernet jumped from 182 Mbps to 483 Mbps and upload speed came back to 12 Mbps from 6.0 Mbps! Great, I thought, until intermittent connection issues started to occur. Because TV box service was affected, I blamed the ISP during the first outage. Troubleshooting connections to a booster module and splitters did not pan out, but service returned for a day. But the problem recurred. I took out the booster and had been running the modem with 15 dB less input signal power; that seemed okay with 256QAM channel powers ranging between -6.2 dBmV and -4.0 dBmV, and correcteds and uncorrectables all 0 or very low. Modem SB8200v2 is supplying internet but no wifi. Dark blue light on modem is lit. What is my problem?

I just bought my device four months ago and it’s not outputting internet. My ISP visited and said it was receiving internet, but it didn’t give a signal to any of my devices while my old modem did. Is anyone else running into this issue? Any solutions? Thanks in advance!

I am currently using COX for internet at 1 gig download and 100 m upload. Every day in the event log the date is set to 12/31/1969. As soon as it does this I lose internet connection until several minutes later the correct time and date are set. I’m renting an Arris DG3450 modem/router from my internet provider for $13/mo. Any suggestions on purchasing a replacement? Should I simply buy another Dg3450 is there an updated version I should consider? I’m on a 1-gig plan and I use an Eero mesh device to extend reach around the house.
