I went to my computer and put in the usual 198.168.100.1 and password wasn’t my password but the last 8 of the S/N so I get that straightened out and then it says for a better experience and more options use the app. On my web page there’s no way or option to test my speed from my provider to Xfinity that I could find. Under status there’s bonded channel’s both up and down, frequency, db’s, power and a lot of locked things that I have no idea what they mean, but nothing on the actual speed? Under event log apparently a lot happened in 1969. So I go to the app and in order to check my network I have to ok for this “third party” to look at my network with agreements written by lawyers for lawyers that I need to ok. So I ok it and it searches through all my personal private parts and then list’s what’s on my network but doesn’t list the modem itself, my router is there and everything else but not the actual modem that I want the information from. Hi my modem started flashing at the power source (on the plug-blue light) and at the base in white (Amber). We got a new smart washing machine that shared the same outlet the same day the modem seemed to be dead. The modem used to be on a power strip extension and it was moved to the direct plug.wont reset with the button. is it fried?

I am connected with Cox 500MB service.My SB8200 will finally connect to Cox but it seems to take too long.Connection speeds match my service plan but I do have some unexplained drops in connection. The Upstream and Downstream lights are BlueThe Power light is White and the Online light are WhiteNo flashing lights, all solid blue or white.What should I do to get all lights Green? 

What do I do when my wi-fi stops and there's no lights at all on it?

My data usage has gone up by quite a bit this month.  How can I check the devices connected to my modem?Arris Surfboard SBG6700-AC

I have an SB8200 on xfinity/comcast.  I have had it for 5 years or longer. I was on the 400/12 plan, and on Sunday 15 October I upgraded to the 800/20 plan.  I did it online.  Everything went well, and for about 24 hours all was well.  Then, my download speeds dropped to to 18MBps.  I called xfinity, and they ran their remote diagnostics, and said there was a problem which needed escalated to the ‘speed tier network”, and was told it would take a couple of hours and that they would contact me when finished.  They contacted me about 2 hours later, said it should be fixed, but nothing changed.  They have me scheduled for a tech visit on Thursday.  Nothing else in my network has changed, just the bump in speed.  Would It help to call xfinity and have them reprovision my modem?  How safe is it for them to do so?  I have read stories of people trying to reprovision their modem, but after it is remove from their end, it will not reprovision because it is ‘locked’ to an account.  Here is t

I just bought the 3.1 surfboard and i called my cable company and it’s hooked up. But I’m having trouble with setting up the wifi. Any pointers or simple solutions? 

I just purchased a new SB8200. I contacted my ISP to change my MAC address to the new modem. When it powers on, everything lights up except the bottom light indicating internet service. When I called my ISP,  they aren’t seeing the modem. I did a hard reboot with no luck. Trying to set up a Google Mesh Wifi. The Google can’t link with the modem either (with ethernet). ISP sent technician out today and they verified service and connections are good. They reconnected me back to my old router and recommended I return the modem. I felt like I should just be able to connect it, link it with my router, and be ready to go, but it’s not working out that way. Any suggestions? Do I need to go to the Default Gateway and make any changes for initial setup of the modem? 

Just got a arris wi-go and voice modem. My device is telling me, it’s connected to the modem but no internet. My phone works. Comcast tells me I have a strong internet signal. I have already pushed the reset button and also disconnected the cable wire, waiting for a few minutes and then reconnected the cable wire to the modem. Still no internet 

I have a TM3402a cable modem. I have my Google mesh WI-FI router plugged into one of the Ethernet ports and it works fine. I would also like to connect my Macintosh via Ethernet, but I am being told that the other Ethernet ports on that modem cannot be used that way. What would be the purpose of 4 Ethernet ports if they are not functional? Thanks

I am trying to add a video doorbell and I need to change my privacy setting from a WPA3 to a WPA2.  Is this something I am able to do? 

Hi,  I have SBG10 modem/router, I lost the admin password as old version Web Manager App has been discontinued and new App SurfboardCentral has been installed. I tried to reset the SBG10 through manual process but since it is still assigned in the Web Manager App, password is not getting reset. I tried - Reseting by taking the internet cable out Reseting with 30-30-30 mode suggested in one of the discussion forum Neither of the method helped. Please advise.  Thanks. 

TDS uses arris DG3452 but you can't buy it only lease it from TDS.  What is the comparable Arris modem/router that a consumer can?  

I replaced the SB8200 modem with the S33 modem. In the app I click on REMOVE DEVICE, select the 8200, and click on NEXT. I click on YES in the “You are about to delete the last installed device.” The screen returns to the My Network screen and still shows the SB8200. I then tried Add Device, and the two choices are SURFboard mAX or Gaming Bridge or Network Upgrade Kit. Neither relate to the new S33 modem. Is it a waste of time to even use the app?

How do I change the serial number for my S33 modem?  The scanner grabbed the wrong number for my serial number. Thanks. 

Hello all. I recently purchased an s33 to replace comcast modem.using the surfboard app and Xfinity app, I was able to get the s33 modem connected, blue light and the Xfinity app showed it.  I didn’t have internet though.so it got me thinking, I need a router. I pulled out an old Cisco router I have, connected port FE0/1 and set it for “ip addres dhcp”, it won’t obtain an ip. after hours of frustration, I connected the Comcast modem back up, Cisco router obtained an ip from it. what am I doing wrong? Missing? thanks. 

I have recently purchased a modem from Arris for my home WiFi. After activation of the modem, all my home WiFi’s networks aren’t showing up on all of our devices ( phones, iPads…) and my security cameras stopped working because of No WiFi. I called Xfinity (Comcast) to check on my home network’s’ disappearance. Xfinity said that the modem is ONLINE but there is something wrong inside the modem that needs to be configured out by the manufacturer (Arris). Xfinity asked me to call Arris directly for this configuration so Xfinity can get my home WiFi’s networks back. Any help or suggestions please?. Thanks!

What is the proper application to control my SB8200?  None seem to list it as supported. 

I can't find a ssid for Arris sb6190 modem 

Hey all,I am having some issues with my SB8200 .  Speeds are inconsistent and overall network performance is erratic.  After looking at the arris events page it looks like I’m having all sorts of issues.  I called my internet provider (optimum) and they tell me that they have NO control over the modem and cannot update the firmware or operating software.  They tell me this because I supplied my own hardware and did not user the optimum provided hardware (don’t like paying rental fees). I told them that they should have control over it as this is the latest cable modem standard. How can I upgrade my SB8200 if this is the case? Help!!!!

I have an S33 modem I recently installed only to find that Xfinity will only allow a single public IP address for non-Xfinity modems (obviously to encourage you to rent their modems….).  This effectively disables the 2nd ethernet port.  Has anyone come up with a simple way to get around this and utilize both ports?

cant login to my router on 192.168.0.1 wants email and password  when i set router up i used mac num on modem now it doesn't recognize num or email or password  just setup my surfboard acct now but that doesn't work either thanks john 

All of a sudden my Arris SURFboard SVG2482AC will not connect to Xfintiy internet.  I have contacted Xfinity and did all their steps.  I have also reset the moder several times but it still will not connect.  Any suggestions?

Yesterday, somehow the signal from the modem to the wifi stopped working. I have good internet hard wired to my mac. I’ve done all the resets on all hardware. Comcast says it’s a modem issue but offered no other help since it’s no their equipment.The only thing that is different is I pay for 800 mbps and I noticed when I do a speed test on the mac now I’m getting 1.1 gbps. I don’t really pay attention to speed so I don’t know if that’s new or has anything to do with it. The download light on the modem is blue now but I’m not sure if it was always that way because I don’t pay attention to that.Could the possible increased speed be the issue? Thanks!

This is an issue that’s becoming more and more frequent to the point that I had to disconnect it and put back my  SB6141, which I had for 6 years with no issues.There is nothing wrong with my ISP or connection into the house. This is a hardware failure that has become worse over time since I bought in August.I just want a warranty replacement but can’t even get decent warranty support.Please advise p.s. I wanted to add that I ran the system by bypassing my wifi router. It means I connected the modem directly to one pc I have with the wired connection and the drops are legit; isolated to the MODEM itself.
