S33 | S34

Last month, I switched ISPs to Xfinity with an 800Mbps plan, but continue to use the same s33.  I have noticed my download speed will occasionally drops to be around100Mbps, independent of whether I use the 1Gitabit or 2.5Gigabit port.  using my ORBI router statistics, I can see the WAN port drops to 100M/Full down from 1000M/Full.  To get my speed back, I have to reconnect my patch cable (CAT6) from the modem to the router to the opposite port on the modem (1 vs. 2.5Gigabit). Sometimes I have to reboot the modem as well.   Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly when this change happens so I can’t check the event logs at that specific moment. I have seen this with my previous ISP as well, so I don’t think this is specific to the ISP.  So what would cause this?  How can I resolve?While investigating this issue, I did look at the event log to see if I can find anything unusual.  Two things I have found, but may or may not be related.(edit: CM-MAC information removed)

Connecting S33 to either my RAX50 (Gbe) router or GS110MX 10G Switch fails, but it connects fine to my PC.  Any ideas why?  Using Cat 8

I find that my 1.2 Gb speed from Xfinity periodically slows down from about 900 Mbs to about 100 Mbs.  This is remedied by restarting the modem by unplugging it for about a minute.  Is there a way to schedule a periodic restart of the S33 modem via its app?   I am thinking that, if not, I could connect it to a smart plug and schedule it to periodically turn off and on in the middle of the night.Also how often should the modem be restarted for optimum performance?

Purchased S33 modem May 2022. Kept overheating and dropping network connection. Spent 2 hrs troubleshooting with Cox and said modem is bad. Requesting assistance with warranty replacement. Thanks. 

Simply put I have Xfinity 1.2 gig service with a not even year old S33 modem.  When I plug my Chromebook via gigabit Ethernet adapter into the 2.5 or 1 gig port I get around 500-600 mbps down.  Xfinity tech comes out & connects his meter to the incoming cable & showed me it was getting 1.299 gig.  Then he plugged his meter into the cable coming out of the 2.5 gig port and it also showed 1.299 gig down.  That’s the first issue, now the rest of it that makes no sense to me;I have a band new Amplfi Alien router w/ the LCD touch screen.  It shows Xfinity’s speed coming into the router usually between 750-810 mbps but when I plug my Chromebook into one of its LAN ports I get 570 mbps down which I don’t understand.  Then here’s the last piece that makes me even more perplexed;I have a TP-Link RE650 gigabit range extender (which is connected via wifi to the Alien router) and when I plug my Chromebook into the LAN port on the range extender I get speeds of 720-800 mbps

Where can I find an online user manual for a s33 cable modem?

Modem - S33Router - W21 Dual PackProblem - I have no issues adding my S33 modem to SB Central but after that, I add my first W21 router and after completing successfully the app asks me if I want to add a satellite “now or later”. Whichever I choose it then shows a loading wheel in front of the app and I cannot do anything else. If I wait it out, app crashes. If I force close and come back, it starts all over again. Only showing my S33 as the only device on my network. However, the first W21 is online, blue solid LED and transmitting wifi. I’ve opened a case with Arris but doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. I’m ready to return everything and have Xfinity send me another rental.  NOTE. I’ve tried 3 different iPhones and 2 different iOS versions. 

My brand new Arris Modem/Router was working fine until a Comcast technician unplugged it last night.  Now nothing works.  No streaming, E Mail Googling etc.  Nothing.  Comcast tells me I am getting a good signal and that I should contact Arris to address the problem.  I rebooted it this morning and I have no Internet service.

How tall (top-to-bottom) is the S33?

Is there any way to send the Event Logs to a syslog server?Local carrier is having issues, but wants to see local modem logs before they’ll open a Support ticket.

I was just upsold by the Xfinity tech support (sales) guy from my Extreme Pro (1 Gb) internet to their 1.2Gb Gigabit speed - “Just $2/month more” - and was told I needed to replace my existing modem to take “full advantage” of the Xfinity system.I have been running an Arris SB8200 for about 2 years and was generally satisfied. I just added a third ASUS router so now have a primary and 2 secondary nodes in an AImesh. I get about 950 KBps on ethernet and 400+ on wifi. I tried to replace the SB8200 with the S33 yesterday - it did not go well!!Firstly, Xfinity took an age ( 2hours) to finally get the S33 set up. Then, once installed, the ethernet and wifi speeds were unchanged.According to Xfinity, the S33 does not does not interact correctly with  Xfinity Gigabit internet, despite Arris claiming it does. In fact Xfinity indicated that I would need to rent their high speed modem/router combo and hard wire to clients in order to get the higher spe

so i just bought this modem today and activated it with spectrum.  previously i had a CM1000 modem from netgear.  since i’ve switched to this modem, i cannot access 192.168.100.1 unless i connect directly to the modem with my laptop and a lan cable.  before, when i had the other modem, i could access the same address with no problems.  what could be causing this?  when i type in the 192.168.100.1 address, the page just says timed out 

My S33 needs to be rebooted or shuts down often. I continue to get this group of errors often. Something tells me it is Xfinity. I have 1gbps service but can recieve up to 1200 per xfinity, however i have never seen more than 650mbps. They tell me its my modem, but they will not allow me to connect to the 2.5GB port. (edit: CM-MAC information removed)DS profile assignment change. This is my second S33, the first one died after about 8 months of use.  I have my household running off this modem with a set of (3) Arris AX 11000 routers. It seems every time I sit down at the computer which is actually plugged into the router the S33 will reset. This will happen frequently but ONLY when the computer is on and connected to the router. Today it has reset twice. I can shut down the computer and go weeks, even months without a problem. Then turn on the computer and within an hour or so the S33 will reset. 

As the post states, I can’t see the modem...maybe because I can’t see it through my router? Am trying to connect via wifi, should I connect hard to the modem itself? I don’t see a cable input to do that.

Any time I am using my computer,y internet disconnect automatically. 

Hello guys i just recently purchase an combo of Arris S33 + W21 mAX router, in the store they advice me to set up the S33 on bridge mode to install the mAX router, but am not able to find the Bridge mode on the settings of my S33

Does this product have an app I am able to use to manage my network?

Where do I find my network’s username and password? Please help!
