S33 | S34

I have Att at home and xfinity  xfinity to eero won’t connect but Att does

Have my Arris Surfboard S33v2 (using the 2.5G port) hooked up to my Eero 6+ router via a 1.5ft Cat Ethernet cable with Spectrum as my ISP (only currently available in area but hopefully getting Fidium soon).  I use the other of 2 ports in the Eero for a wired connection to my Xbox.   My question is this: am I able to use the open 1G port in the MODEM to connect via internet to anything?  When I try with TV or Xbox, it says I need to enable DHCP for Xbox, or DNP for TV.  Some things have said call ISP to activate another modem port, called spectrum and they say they can’t do that, they can only activate the coax cable.  Any help or ideas?

I just bought the new modem about a month ago to replace another Arris modem. Several times a day, we lost internet for a couple minutes. Every time we lost internet, it is due to the modem randomly shutting down and rebooting. I am having Xfinity out tomorrow morning to take a look at things. Is there anything I should look out for? Is there anything I can fix? Thanks

My s33 modem lights cycle from white, green than solid amber for two minutes and the cycle repeats. I tried hard resetting the modem but the button seems broken and there is no give or tension. I’ve left the power unplugged for hours but it wouldn’t sync with Xfinity. I got a new modem from Xfinity and that works. I’d like to get a replacement as it’s only 6 months since I bought it

I tried upgrading my mesh network to Eero 6+ from a Tp link Deco system on an Xfinity isp. The Eero wont connect to the modem. I tried everything I know but the only way I can get it to connect is to connect the eero to the tp link router instead of the modem. Is it a gateway issue that I need to allow permissions in the S33 for the eero so i dont have to use the Tp Link?

I purchase the S33 that was factory renewed.  It is working fine but the Default admin password is not the serial number. Is there a way to reset the device back to factory default with out it Or and generic PW is may have been set to for testing? Thank you

Just purchased brand new S33 modem. All labels indicating S33v2 (Version 2). When accessing my modem portal (192.168.100.1) Product Information page showing V1.0   Which version do i have?

I recently purchased a new Arris S33 in an attempt to fix my internet’s frequent disconnects.Unfortunately, the problem has persisted. I just bought my device four months ago and it’s not outputting internet. My ISP visited and said it was receiving internet, but it didn’t give a signal to any of my devices while my old modem did. Is anyone else running into this issue? Any solutions? Thanks in advance!

I am currently using COX for internet at 1 gig download and 100 m upload. Every day in the event log the date is set to 12/31/1969. This is a very basic question. I had stored my S33 when moving and the power cord that was near it (however not sure which power cord is correct), is branded as APD model # W8-18R12FU (asian power devices). Was this the one that came with the unit?

How do ensure I have the latest firmware running on S33 hardware v1.0?  I purchased my modem and I use it with RCN/Astound Broadband as my ISP.  I don’t see an option to update firmware in the web portal.I show “TB01.01.001.13_082420_192.S3” as the firmware version. Please advise. 

Is the S33 compatible with google nest wifi pro 6E?

Recently installed, replacing older cable modem.  Xfinity service guy was out, said all is good on their end, but we needed a new cable modem since we were having tv issues.  Installed the S33v2.  We are now having intermittent internet outages, multiple times a day.  Lasts only for some minutes.  I note the power level on upstream bonded channels (5 of them) is 58.8 on 4, 52.8 on 1.  Your docs say it should be no more than 51.  Is that 51 a true  limit, and could that account for intermittent internet outages?ThanksDon

Does the Arris S33 Cable modem have a RJ45 Port grounding? I see the metal on the outer edges of the RJ45 port but I just want to make sure?The reason why I ask this question is because of this picture I am acting to this thread. I have cat8 S/FTP Cables and I am worried about the ( ANTENNA EFFECT).Basically the one question I have is if there is metal on the edges of the RJ45 Port does that indicate Port grounding?Thank you in advance for your help & time!have a wonderful day! 

so i am having fluctuating internet speeds from 300-500mbps, my spectrum plan is 1gbps, the technician told me he ran a speed test from the outside line and was getting close to 1gbps and he ran from my router to his device and was getting around 700mbps, the only thing he couldn’t test was my S33 Modem, i also ran a local in house speed test from my NAS which connects to my switch then hits my router then to my pc and i get 890mbps download and close to 900mbps upload, the only thing i cannot test locally is my s33 modem, is there anyway to run an inhouse test? i also reset the modem to factory settings and the first couple of minutes i had a good speed test of 800+mbps download but after i ran it a second time it went down to 300mbps once again, Note: all these were wired tests, directly connected. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cannot access surfboard central app with initial username and password

I normally work on-line beginning at 3:30 a.m.  However, my Arris S33 modem goes through its automatic firmware update between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m., disrupting my Internet connection.  Can I change the time of day that these updates occur?

My 5G connection is not working on my S33v2. I’ve tried rebooting the modem. I’ve tried using multiple routers. I’ve called xfinity and they say everything is normal on their end. I pay for 1G internet and currently am getting 10-15MB internet through the 2.4G channel.

How can I access the S33 modem configuration using WiFi?when I type the IP address 192.168.100.1  OR 10.0.0.1 , I get an error message stating error 404.My computer does not have an ethernet port. Please advise

I have an Arris S33 modem which I activated on May 27, which replaced a Comcast Xfinity supplied gateway.Since activation, I’ve discovered my internet connection drops every day at around 1AM and connection returns within 5 minutes.  Never longer than that. The schedule is the same every day and has not changed.  It is not just Wi-Fi but also when connected via ethernet on my desktop computer.I have an Amplifi Alien mesh router which is up-to-date firmware wise but I've already ruled it out as the culprit. During my weeks of troubleshooting, I've been on my desktop computer directly connected to the modem as well.When I lose connection at 1:00 AM, my Xfinity app says it is "Offline".  My Alien app shows device is not connected to the internet and "No Internet Connection" is displayed on it's screen.Looking for some help in further troubleshooting this issue.  Where should I be looking especially when the connection drops at same time every day?I’m

Howdy, just moved to a new location and we're trying to get things running. We purchased an s33 for use with xfinity and a friend gave us an aruba 315 for use instead of a router. This will eventually change to being modem > switch > cable run to 2 rooms > AP, but for now we're just trying to get wireless working.The modem is registered/activated and the blue light is constant. We've power cycled the modem and AP, swapped cables, etc but still no internet. Hardwiring from modem to a laptop doesn't give a connection either.What next steps should we be taking here? Comcast has already been out and checked the coax and it was "good to go" but I'm less inclined to take their word.

My signals are good, event log from yesterday attached.  It did it again this morning.  I can’t tell if it’s an ISP initiated reboot but two mornings in a row seems unlikely.  Also, is this thing supposed to run warm?  I’m about ready to ship it back.
