S33 | S34

I bought an Arris S34 from BandH Photo.   I have Xfinity the 400mb plan.   I hooked up the modem and it has a solid blue light.   I have no laptop or desktop to connect to it.   Only an ipad currently.   I tried activating for two hours and it will not activate either through customer support (5 agents from Egypt, I might cancel Comcast for that) or through the Xfinity website.   My old modem reactivated right away when I went back to it.   XFinity wants to charge me $100 to send out a technician who will likely tell me its the modems fault.   What should I do?Thanks

I can't find my wifi account after uploading s34. On my computer 

Per Fing my router allows UPnp and NAT-PMP which is a security vulnerability. I contacted you before on April 28 and was told to download and install the newer surfboard app, and though I did that there wasn’t an option to disable these identified vulnerabilities. Please help

I awoke to non-functioning internet connection. It has been confirmed that the issue is the S33 modem. All connections were checked that included ethernet and coaxial cables, the service was verified with the service provider, but the modem was the only thing experiencing issues. There is a nonstop chirping sound coming from the unit, and the front light was solid orange/reddish. I attempted to perform additional troubleshoot per the user guide. Performed Restart only to have front light to turn solid green, still making the chirping sound, and without making connection. Proceeded to perform Reset, light remained solid green, chirping sound remained, and still did not make connection. How do I get warranty support? RMA? Im still within the two year warranty.

Brand new S33 shows as being active on Cox support side. I get a solid blue light but no connectivity when connected via Ethernet.  I get a webpage from Cox saying my device isn’t active. When I try to activate it, it says it’s not compatible.  Attempted to connect to a wireless router and the SSID continually shows as No Internet.  Not real sure what to do. 

I recently purchased the new SP 34 surfboard modem. My old modem was in the bedroom so I hooked up the new modem in the bedroom. I got everything connected to my wireless network and everything was working fine however I wanted to move the modem to my basement And now I cannot connect anything please help 

Hey all, I have been using an S33 over the past year with Cox, this is my first time owning my own cable modem as when I had spectrum the modem was free so no need to cut costs and it was a stable modem. Anyway, I’ve noticed over the past year the blue LEDs have gotten very dim, and act as some of them have gone out.  The amber and green LEDs are normal brightness.  I have gone into the modem settings and have set the front lights to be off under normal conditions, since I only need to know if there are issues, anyway. My question is, should I be concerned of future modem failure?  Right now it works fine and my connection is stable.  The modem is registered with Arris and has Warranty coverage until November of next year.

Wrong local channels 

My S33 modem was working great. Then 2 days ago I went to access printables.com to find something to 3d print. The site wouldn’t load. This was curious because I could stream netflix, apple tv, youtube, prime, and my son wasn’t experiencing any lag on Marvel Rivals. To add to the issue, I could access the site just fine from my cell phone connected to the same network. I finally punched in the ip adress to my modem and found in the event log a  Timing Synchronization failure with a date of 1970. I checked with the ISP and the issue seems to be isolated to my house so I either have an issue with a coaxial connection or my modem has a problem. This begs the question, is there a firmware update for the S33 that could resolve this? Is my S33 on the brink of failing? I believe the timing synchronization issue is what’s preventing me from accessing certain websites but I’m not certain.

I just installed the Arris G34 brand new router because Xfinity’s price went over $300.00 per month!  It worked great for about 4-hours then the power died! I unplugged the power supply and tried several outlets but the G34 would not power on. All I get when I plug it in is three quick flashes of the blue light then the light goes off. I had to reinstall the Xfinity router to write this.I tested the power supply, and it is producing power the required 12.20 Volts DC.I will return it to Amazon.  What a big pain. Think about going to a Motorola router.

Modem is only a few years old and lately it just drops internet for a few seconds multiple times a day. Picks it back up quickly without any reset or anything but obviously it gets fairly annoying. 

Installed this modem about 3 weeks ago. According to the installer and now Comcast tech the modem has burned out already. Reinstalled the old modem which was working but I wanted to up my internet speeds. My question is how to proceed under warranty for get a replacement?  Thanks in advance. 

How does registering my modem affect my ISP activation?

One of the posts for fixing slow wifi says that the automatic mode puts you on the most congested network in your neighborhood . I am trying to wrap my arms around this because I always thought that automatic selection would put you on the channel with the best RF stats like power, signal to noise or  carrier to noise ratio. Does anyone know what is behind the covers?

I used the setup out of the box and my wifi is unusable in next room with door open. My old router worked much better.Any suggestions on how to configure it for better speeds?

stuck on  1 gig and upload to 40 mbps  i have update with my isp 2 gig and up load to 300 mbps,i think it need firmware update

I bought an S33 less than 3 years ago. Recently was troubleshooting a slow internet issue and rebooted my modem by unplugging it for a minute. When I plugged back in, it never connected to the internet again (green flashing light). I has my ISP come out today and they replaced all the cables and still were unable to get my modem to connect. The tech said modems typically last only 2 years and that mine may not have the latest firmware update or is just gone bad. He installed a different modem which connected immediately. Is it true this modem could have gone bad after less than 3 years of use? It’s out of warranty now, so I’m unsure what else I can do to validate if it truly is bad or not.

Hello, I was using Xfinity XB8-T for last year and had lots of connectivity issues. Yesterday I thought of going back to S33, which I was using during 2021-22. I have had stable connectivity for past 24-36 hours but my speeds are slow. On Xfinity modem I used to get 1200 Mbps down and about 35 mbps upload whenever it was working.I have my S33 plugged into cable and then my eero router is plugged in 2.5 ghz port. My S33 gives me like 600 mbps download and about 25 mbps upload? How can I make it better to give me speeds like what Xfinity plan gives me. I am on 1300 Mbps down and 40 Mbps upload plan.Please guide me as to why I am not able to see same speed. Is S33 not compatible? Is there a new firmware I should be downloading for S33. I was not using S33 for past 2/3 years.Thanks for replying back.

My teenager's profile suddenly quit working. My thought is to delete it and then set it up once again, but I can't find a way to delete the profile. Or, is the solution to uninstall the app and start over completely?

I have been working with 3rd level support with xfinity (Comcast) and they are stumped so far. I have worked with Hostgator and  they state because I can access my account outside my network it's not them. I have tried Eero tech support and they tried a suggestion to change my IPv4 and that did not work. Here is the problem:I can no longer access my email addresses (multiple addresses through same host) using Hostgator.comAlso I cannot get to www.mywebsite.com/cpanel and also cannot log onto my websites using filezilla. As of yesterday I could and did not have any problems and did not change any settings.  When I try to use find my websit I get my IPV6 but it cannot find my IPV4. I can access all of the above via my iPhone on the cellular network when I turn off my WiFi. I cannot access the above using WiF
