S33 | S34

Since August 2024, I have S34 modem. It always ran a bit hot.Recently, I can’t log in to the web interface to check event log.I purchased a different modem from another manufacturer. No Problem in heat dissipation and logging in to the interface!What should I do with the S34?

I tried over two days to replace my working SB8200 on my home network with a new S34. My ISP is Cox. On the first day I tried many times to activate it over the phone to a Cox technician. The Cox tech said she could see the S34 activated on her end. On my end I saw a solid blue LED indicator, but I got no connection to my wired ethernet LAN or my eero PRO wi-fi router. On the second day a Cox technician came to help. He worked for over an hour trying various things, but got the same result.  Finally he replaced the S34 with a Cox Panorama modem/wi-fi router and got the system working as it was with my SB8200 router. Now, however, I am stuck paying rent for Cox’s equipment, so I am not done trying to solve my problem. So, a few questions: (Question 1) Does the S34 indeed provide a performance upgrade over the SB8200? I have Gigablast service from Cox, a sprawling LAN covering 6,000 sq ft, and an eero PRO wi-fi mesh network with 6 routers total. I am planning to upgrade the eero PRO g

I am having a recurring problem.  At random times, my S33v2 Modem will lose its connection to the internet.  No warning, and no clue why it is happening.  Power cycling the modem restores its connection, and my ISP cannot detect any problems.  I run the modem through an ASUS Wi-Fi Router, and when the connection drops, we still have network access, so I know the router isn’t the issue.I have looked through a few threads, and have accessed the Web Manager to check the signal power levels.  The downstream power levels and SNR levels are within the recommended range.The upstream power levels however, are within the acceptable range (35 - 50 dBmV) according to my ISP (Xfinity), but NOT within the range suggested by the manufacturer (45 - 51 dBmV).Picture below. I have done a hard reset of the modem, via the reset s

I am linked with my eero pro 6e router through the 2.5g port but there are no link lights. I also noticed when I boot the modem there are no lights on the 2.5g port but the 1g port has lights. Any thoughts?

I do not have an ethernet port on my laptop.  How can I set up the modem? I cannot reach the manager page. 

Any ideas?

Breezeline shows signal to my S33 but have no connectivity through eero router or through direct hardwire to the modem!

Replaced an older Surfboard with a new Surfboard and the new Arris iPhone app doesn’t facilitate syncing the two. Any suggestions or help making them work together would be greatly appreciated.  

Doesn’t seem to be an easy way to request RMA.Surfboard S33v2, already registered, amazon purchase less than 2 years ago.Spectrum internet, lost connection, multiple power offs and tried reset button.When powering on, green light immediately comes on and stays on, doesn’t blink or appear to attempt to connect to spectrum.  Multiple reboots same result.Purchased new S33 and quickly activated new modem and new modem is working fine.Request replacement on old defective S33.

Spent a lot of time on this and you have no number to call, not starting out well.  Xfinity says they do not support the s34.

I am beyond frustrated here. To preface, I have the worst ISP possible - Zito Media. I honestly feel like Zito is the culprit but they refuse to provide any useful information. I own this modem and intentionally bought it so I could drop the rental Zito modem. I want to access the web manager to alter settings as needed. However, I cannot get into my modems manager. 192.168.100.1 just gives me a “hmm...can’t reach this page” message. Ipconfig tells me my default gateway is 192.168.4.1 (which doesn’t work either of course). I tried to reset the modem and for a very brief 2 minutes I was able to get into the manager but as soon as it reconnected to my ISP the manager connection terminated and displayed the “hmm...can’t reach this page” message again. Please help!

I am about to replace my outdated SB6141 Cable Modem (Xfinity is the ISP) with a new S34 Arris cable modem.  But before I make the swap, I need to try to understand what happened yesterday….  The SB6141 lost connectivity and it spent hours booting successfully through “Power”, “Receive” and “Send” but then when it got to step 4, the “online” connection, it would flicker a lot with the blue activity light flicker a lot too…. Appeared to me it was trying to talk to my ASUS router (model # RT-BE88U) but was having no success…. It would try for a while and then do a reset and start over…. Did that maybe 100 times…. I then unplugged the router by unplugging the Ethernet cable at the back of the modem…. It then booted and came up to fully booted in no time at all…. Whoa…. Doesn’t like the router…. But it has connected to it many time over the past few months since I bought this new ASUS router…. Had an Apple router on this system before and it worked for nearly 10 years with this same, ol

I have called my internet provider. Tech has been to house. Restarted modem. Still, the internet goes on and off. Blue light. Says it’s on. But, no devices work using wifi. Modem only 1 year old. Suggestions?

I have no wi-fi, Xfinity verified service is working. After repeated reboots of Arris Surfboard, cable tv ( direct connected to Arris) sometimes works. Wi-fi does not connect. Direct connect to laptop computer does not connect to internet. Help?

Is there a way to change the IP address on an S34 Cable Modem?

I just received my S33 today. Yet, when I plugged it in there isn’t a single light that is on.

This has been ongoing for a long time now, just now doing research though. Had Xfinity re-provision twice and also reset to factory settings with no luck, they told me they see OFDMA on channel 43 but I’m not seeing it on my end at all, will post the logs of the boot up and provision. Cannot exceed 40 Mbps upload and very random download speeds as well. Any help is appreciated!Event Log 

About a year ago we  were told our cable modem, model SBG7600AC2,  was obsolete and would need to be replaced. We have two computers, some TV’s and a couple of tablets as part of our home network.   We just recently decided to swap it out with an S34. When I looked at the package, I noticed the box says  we need a WI Router for whole home networking. This leads me to believe I bought the incorrect cable. If so what version would be best to purchase? 

I just purchased an Arris S33. It did not come with a user manual. According to Xfinity, I need the WiFi name and pswd of the device. How do I get this?

S33v2 on AstoundReboots at least 5 times a day since 1/1/25ISP tech came out and replaced with their modem. Everything works great now Will never buy Arris again. Mobile app is a joke

I have a surfboard S33 that I’ve been using for about a year now. I guess I’ve been tardy in reporting this issue.  The modem keeps rebooting multiple times during the day and the restart usually takes about 5-7 minutes. I’ve spoken with Comcast about this and they indicated that everything looks good from their end. They aren’t not seeing any errors being reported to them. The S33 is a replacement for an earlier modem that I had. I worked with Comcast and we reinstalled that modem and everything worked fine so it doesn’t appear to be an issue with the connection from Comcast.  I use the previous modem for almost 8 years with no issues at all on the line. Well, I checked the Event Log today and it seems that there are multiple errors and that the date of the device keeps getting reset to 12/31/1969… see the attached screenshot. Please let me know how I can initiate warranty support for this before my warranty expires.  

Event log shows:02/26/2025 11:05:05 Critical Config File Rejected due to Invalid or Unexpected TLV 11;CM-MAC= {edit : personal information} 02/26/2025 11:05:05 Notice TLV-11 - unrecognized OID;CM-MAC= {edit : personal information}  What does this mean?  I have 1.2Gbps service from Xfinity.  Wired speed test with one device attached directly to modem is 460mbps.

I just bout a refurbished S33 cable modem on Amazon. Is there a light that comes on when plugged in. No light illuminated on mine. Larry
