Wi-Fi Modems

How do I fix my SBG7600AC2 WiFi cable modem?The power indicator light is on, but no other status lights turn on. No send/receive light, online light, wireless lights, or WPS light. My WiFi network is not being broadcast or not discoverable when I try to connect my devices.I have unplugged the power cable for 15 seconds, and power cycled the modem, but it still does nothing except show a power light.I also checked that the coaxial cable is tight against the back of the modem and tight against the cable outlet on the wall.

I set up my G20 gateway (wifi router and modem combo) and it keeps dropping the connection periodically. Anywhere from every 5-20 minutes or so, it will suddenly cut out and I’ll lose internet access. I had to set this up through xfinity as the app didn’t work so I can’t really use that to see if there’s anything that stands out on the surfboard app. I’ve checked the coax cable and it seems fine and it was functioning properly with my last modem. I’ve done an internet speed test and when it’s working it says my internet is very fast. 

So, I have a Arris G34 that is approximately a year old and its not broadcasting ssid and ethernet ports not working. Everything was working great till I moved to a new house. I have Cox internet and I am receiving good signal. I can plug cox panoramic in and the internet works just fine. When I reboot or factory reset the G34 the ethernet ports light up while it reboots but then turn off and do not come back on no matter what I have plugged In to them. I cant seem to figure out how to login to the modems web page to check out the setting due to lack of internet.... Any advice/help before I try and do a warrenty claim will be greatly appreciated!

A few hours of searching and all I can find are people wanting me to look at my WAN-side DHCP.  I cannot emphasize enough that I’m asking about configuring the DHCP server functionality within the G36 that hands out IPv4 addresses to LAN client devices.  Nothing whatsoever to do with WAN side IP assignment.Having tried to be excruciatingly clear, I want to know how to configure the IP address pool [and IP reservations] for the so-called ‘Secondary’ and ‘Guest’ subnets. Through the web GUI, I configured DHCP for the ‘Primary’ subnet to be 192.168.0.101 through 192.168.0.200, and now I want to know where in the web interface I would set the address pool for ‘Secondary’ to be 192.168.26.101 through 192.168.26.200, and similarly to set the ‘Guest’ address pool to be 192.168.28.101 through 192.168.28.200.  Presumably, if I find where to do this, I’ll also find the ability to declare IP reservations.I read somewhere not to try logging into 192.168.26.1 or 192.168.28.1 with ‘

I can’t figure out how to connect my G34 to my Netgear Nighthawk EAX20 extender? Any instructions? The nighthawk app can’t find the G34 & the G34 can’t find the Nighthawk. I’ve tried both 5ghz & 2.4 ghz

My G34 router is 2 years old and has worked flawlessly for most of that time.  However over the past two months my internet connection has gone down about 4 times for no apparent reason.  Unplugging and restarting the router fixes the issue but I am concerned this will keep happening and possibly increase.  Do routers wear out?

I purchased the G34 in March 2025.  ISP is Cox w/ 500 mbps download speed and 50 mbps upload speed.  Up until recently, I neared the maximum speed in both directions using an ethernet connection and slightly slower as expected using Wi-Fi.  Over the last few weeks, however, the ethernet upload speed is less than 1 mbps, while the  download speed is near 500 mbps.  (The Wi-Fi speeds are unchanged.)  But when I activate my VPN, the upload speed is ~50 mbps.  I have reset the G34, but the upload speeds remain painfully slow unless thee VPN is activated.  Any thoughts on how to increase the upload speeds when not using the VPN? 

I have gigabit internet but my ethernet download speed is slow.  I have bypassed the splitter and have my Xfinity coax cable connected directly to my Arris G34 Gateway router. When I check over my wireless connection I get 350 Mbps. When I check over my ethernet I get about 200 Mbps.

Site now says I’m locked out because apparently I am not using the correct password.  Customer service does not answer their phone.  How can I successfully change my password without calling in?

I placed an order from shop.surfboard.com for a G20 to replace my SBG7580, I screen captured the order #. Credit card was billed, no order confirmation or acknowledgment email received.  Yet a email to rate the product.  No email or phone listed for customer service. How does one check status and track an order?

I have struggled with a DDNS provider, changeip.com, because the DDNS from my Arris G34 are not working to update with the correct IP address. They insist I must contact Arris, as they have stopped working on the issue. The token is right, the U and P fields are right (apparently, password is obscured) yet changeip support insists the request is malformed. I just purchased an Arris Surfboard Wi-Fi cable modem model G36. I contacted Spectrum - my IP - they’ve sent the activation signal and see the modem on their side. They’ve sent reboot signals and it’s rebooted. They sent another signal, had me unplug for a full minute and plug it back in. The device maintains a blue light, my devices can connect via WiFi and Ethernet according to the surfboard app, yet there is absolutely no internet connectivity. What am I missing?

My arris g34 has a blinking green light on both Ethernet cables (I was not the one who set it up, one goes to the tv I think) and I can’t tell if it’s quick or not (a previous website told me fast blinking is not good, but didn’t say what the quick blink looked like), also I’m not even sure if it’s green or yellow, they’re very similar looking. I’ve tried plugging each cord into different ports, but with the same results (except for with the 2.5 g port, an orange slow blink). Help?also: most devices say “connected, no Wi-Fi” (I think that right)

My wi-fi stopped working a few days ago and I now see that my Arris modem has been RESET to factory settings out of the blue and I do not have the original password in order to reconfigure it to my settings. 

I just purchased a G54 and went through all the setup and activation with Spectrum. No issues, much more stable connection all is well. Until I had to swing all of my smart home devices over and many are having issues with the connection. My thought is the 2.4ghz vs the 5ghz may be the issue? I’m curious if anyone else knows how to remedy this? Most devices are a Google based platform and the previous router/modem from spectrum had no issues. I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting with Google and nothing seems to work. The only thing that has changed is this setup so I have to assume it’s to blame. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

I am required to use a VPN for work. Have been doing so for many years. I replaced an older modem and router 4 months ago. The G34 was working fine until one day it wasn’t. My VPN connection drops after 10 seconds. My IT dept went so far as to replace my computer but the new computer has the same issue. I have rebooted the modem many many times.  I saw reference to an article, but the link tells me to “check back at a later time” (!!!) I need to be able to do my job. 

why is the light flashing green all the time? 

Hi, I just recently switched internet providers (Access to Sasktel) and Sasktel gave me an Arris router. Now my google homes will no longer connect to the Wi-Fi. I have factory reset them and it keeps giving me the same messages. “Disable Access Point/AP Isolation and Enable UPnP.” I can find UPnP in the router settings and it is enabled however I can not find anything called Access Point or AP isolation. Where could I find this option or is it labeled as something else? Thanks.Model: NVG448BQ

I accidentally deactivated 5G which turned off internet. Can't login to enable. Model is SBG7600AC2

I replaced my 2019 Arris C-129 with the new Arris G34. I get internet service in my house but no longer receive connectivity in my cabana which is where I work from home and need wi-fi. The old modem worked great for providing connectivity and wifi to my cabana, but Cox said my modem was too old. Any suggestions for getting connectivity before I need to work Monday morning? I appreciate your time and advice. Thank you! 

I just bought my 2nd G34, and Surfboard Central will not let me log into this new one, and when I try to register it for warranty on your site it says the serial # does not exist?  So I can’t even start a chat with support since it does not recognize the serial #???  And no tech support by phone on the weekend?

I am unable to connect an HP 8600 with either MAC Filtering disabled, Allow-All, or MAC Filtering enabled, Allow, with the HP 8600 in the  Wi-Fi Control List. In both cases, a MAC Filter restriction message is displayed.

My Wi-Fi stopped working on multiple devices, some of my connected Wi-Fi is still working, ie, my TV, mobile phones, co.puters, but all of my other devices are offline, when connecting to the ssid it says no internet, yet other Wi-Fi connected devices are still connected. I can not connect my other devices as it says no internet on all broadcast ssids, I have factory reset the modem, yet still no success.
