The printer recognizes the G36-D4CD wifi setting but when enering the password, the connection failed. Any ideas on how to enter the proper password?

My SBG10 won’t turn on. It was working the night before and in the morning nothing. No connection whatsoever. Tried resetting. Nothing. Tried unplugging and nothing.

***UPDATE*** I got to reset. Hey gang, I have a 7400AC2 that I use with Spectrum Cable. I am trying to get into the admin options to make some changes, I don’t recall changing user or password but it is saying one or both are incorrect. Is there a way to override and get in OR reset back to default admin/password?

No Port Forwarding

I have a G54 modem/router and I would like to make it a mesh system, what mesh system works best for that? I do need to be able to connect with an ethernet cable due to my pole barn having metal walls.

I received my G34 modem today. Nothing is happening when I plug the power into the modem. I have tried with several other outlets and ones that I know work. I am thinking it is an issues with the power cord. when the cord is fully plugged into the modem, the connection seems louse.

Our area has random power failures (2 per month). Whenever we experience a power failure, we are unable to connect to the internet when using MAC filtering set to “ALLOW”. We have to change the setting back to “ALLOW ALL” then login, then logout and change the filtering back to “ALLOW” which permits us to login with no issues. This is a major PITA. Can someone explain why this is necessary? ISP is Xfinity.

Xfinity just sent me an email stating that my Arris SBG8300 modem will not deliver 1.2 Gbps which is the speed provided by their network. My speed check comes to 868.5 Mbps and I am CAt6 hard wired to the modem approximatly 20 feet away. Can anyone on this form collaborate this info? And if so, does Arris have any suggestions to remedy this problem? Software upgrade?

I can't connect to Epson ET-3830 Printer with my new Arris Model G36 combo router/modem. I also can’t connect to my Whiskers Litter Robot 4 either with this new wifi. My phones and computers are connecting fine though. My printer troubleshooter said I should check to see if my privacy or separator feature is enabled in the access point which I have no idea on how to do. Any suggestions to help fix this?

I’m helping my in-laws increase the security on their wi-fi network. These two are 97 and 100 years old. I think it’s unlikely that they can move to better security but I was a software guy, not a network person. Can someone advise me please. You’ll have my gratitude and the gratitude of a man who landed on Omaha beach. Thank you. I suspect that a new modem is a better option but these two don’t manage change well. So if I can make their network more secure it would be easier.

I have a SBG7600AC2 modem that I bought a couple of months ago. I am having an issue where the 2.4 GHz WiFi ONLY will stop providing internet to those devices that are connected to it, such as Alexa, the Blink cam, and the Ring cams. The wired internet works just fine during this time, and the 5 GHz WiFi also works just fine during this time. In order to reset it, I have to go to 192.168.0.1, turn off the 2.4 GHz in the Surfboard menu, turn it back on, and everything connects again within a few seconds. A day or two later, it will do it again. I’ve played with many of the settings in the menu without any change. I don’t believe it is interference because the devices will stop being connected and won’t reconnect without my doing the reset. Even after hours, it will not reconnect on it’s own. All devices go off-line at the same time. Any suggestions?

When i put my G54 in bridge mode and connect it to tp-link Archer AX55 i have internet for about 5 mins and then I lose both wifi and land line connections.

After reading what I could find here, I suspect many have this issue!! I used the web interface to thoroughly configure the G34 and TURNED OFF THE WIFI since I have a very nice mesh network plugged into the G34… I foolishly listened to the banner and used the Surfboard Central app to see what else could be configured… BAD MOVE!! I now get a logon screen that REQUIRES AN EMAIL AND PASSWORD WHICH I WAS NEVER GIVEN!!! It tells me I can “get to the old logon...” by clicking something that DOES NOT EXIST!!! Common sense tells me there should be a URL that I could append to the router IP in my browser to get to the other logon screen (e.g. https://{router IP}/<old logon page.php>) if only someone could supply that info!! If I can’t get that info, I am faced with resetting the modem and spending a few hours reconfiguring all my custom settings!!

Looking to migrate sbg10 out of service, but in the configuration, the router mode- can i use bridge?

Why would my SSIDs just disappear???? I found a similar question from a year ago. And the answer. 17 freaking steps to reset your modem???? Are you kidding me? I didn’t buy this to do this. So is there a clear answer why would SSIDs just vanish suddenly? Barely had this thing for 10 days. It’s either going back to the store or in the garbage. So disappointing.

I recently purchased a new surfboard SBG 10. It was set up with the default name and password. I would like to change that name and password to something I’m familiar with. Help.

i cant access the admin login. i used the default login after i reset the router and still cant get in. it does say im using an unsupported version of chrome but mine in is updated and because of that the browser is unsecure. I've tried adjusting every security setting and even downloading an older version of chrome but nothing has worked. i could use some help if anyone has any ideas

Is there a way to connect this SBG10 model with a hdmi connector to a flat screen tv?
