In Surfboard central app, how can I see connected devices on secondary wifi network? Arris G36

I created a secondary 2.4ghz wifi ssid for my security cameras, roomba, etc. to connect to.  My devices are connecting, but I am unable to view a list of them while in the Surfboard APP.  The only way I can see them is to sign into the GUI interface.  What am I doing wrong?

problems staying connected with internet g36 modem

I bought an Arris G36 surfboard modem and connected it to wow network. At times of the day the modem/router stays connected but Internet goes out I proceed to reset router and I get connection again. I have spoke to my ISP provider and they refreshed signals multiple times and have said their is no firmware update to be had. I even reset the gateway it helped some but it is now repeating this issue is my modem faulty what can I do?

Surfboard SBG8300 ports for arlo security base station

Hello,Im having a hard time figuring out how to get arlo security base station to work. Arlo is telling me I need to open ports 80 and 443. I have done this but still having issues. I figured I cant be the only one who has went thru this. Thanks for any help provided.

Unable to activate the modem by Xfinity on surfboard g36

Trying to activate g36 on Xfinity. Asking for cm mac #. Instructions say to enter hfc mac number which is not recognized by Xfinity.

What keeps resetting ONLY the main WiFi password? G36

Every month or so, the “Primary Home” password resets to its default. The other networks and all other settings, including the admin login password, remain intact. Arris support blames Xfinity. Xfinity blames Arris. Will someone fix or replace my G36 already?!?!

No WPS on SBG8300! trying to set up TP-LINK RE615X extender

We have a few dead spots so I bought the TP-Link RE615X- very popular on an online retailer. “works with any wi-fi router” “secure one touch connection (WPS)”  Well the surfboard doesn’t have a WPS button and the alternatives TP-Link gives aren’t working.Is there a way to access a WPS reset through the router software?Old geez, non-techie

Surboard 7580 shows i am in china and not north carolina

My surfboard router (7580) shows i am in HK/China and not North Carolina.  This started a couple of months ago.  I have unplugged and rebooted, but cannot solve this issue.  It is mostly evident when using a chrome browser.  However, if i go to any other location my devices do show North Carolina.  Is there a simple fix for this?

Disable SIP ALG on Aris G36

I was told in my job that the reason why I'm getting issues with staying connected to the company's phone system is the SIP ALG setting. Is this something that my Aris G36 has? If so, how can I disable it?

unable to connect Wi-Fi after setup the modem

Arris modem has all the blue lights lit up. Everything is plugged in correctly. No issues with my service provider. I cannot activate the modem to my service provider xfinity. Wifi will not connect after following all the steps.

Arris surfboard G54 - rebooting on its own

How can My modem reset to factory settings without me?  Xfinity said it wasn’t them and the modem might be malfunctioning.  The modem is less than 6 months installed.  Been having network issues ever since I connected it to Xfinity.  Thanks.

LAN DNS Reverts to "Obtained Automatically" G34

I’m having an issue changing my IPv4 LAN DNS to “statically configured” on my G34 router.  When I change the setting and set the primary and secondary DNS servers, fill out the CAPTCHA, and then hit save settings, it appears to take.  After a couple of seconds, the screen refreshes and its back to “obtained automatically”.  The software image name is “Edited personal details” and the firmware version is “Edited personal details”.

surfboard SBG8300- unable to login the GUI web portal

I reset the router. I want to create a username and password and access it. I’m able to connect to it with my laptop and it goes directly to login screen asking for my email and password. I’m not able  to get past this screen. I appreciate any suggestions.  btw, I’m using two different Surfboard routers in two locations. Can I control them both from the app?

ARRIS Surfboard SBG8300-RB no internet access

No connectivity issues until a big storm rolled through. My Alexa alarm went off in the morning and I couldn’t turn it off by talking to it so I went over to unplug and noticed it had no internet connection. When I got home later that day still no internet. I unplugged it for 30 seconds, nothing. Then again for 2 minutes and nothing. I noticed the lights never blinked or changed colors. They both are solid blue when plugged in, off when unplugged then right back to solid blue as soon as I plug it back in. I tried doing a hard reset and it won’t even respond to me pushing the reset button for 10 seconds or 30 seconds. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated!

Unable to Add Device from surfboard app in Parental Controls - SBG8300

I am trying to set up Parental Controls through the SURFBoard Central App on my SBG8300. In My Experiences tab I have created a User Profile under Parental Control and when I move to +Add Device I see a selection of devices I can select.  When I select a device and click ADD DEVICE at the bottom it spools for a while and then clears the page, not adding the device.  It does this with every device on the list.  I cannot add any devices as it spools and then clears ever time.  Why is it spooling and what can I do to get a device added to the User Profile?

Best substitute to G36?

It's pretty clear now that Arris G36 is a massive frustration to several customers. I can not have satisfactory use of my Xfinity 2 GB connection.So my question is, instead of this dumb piece of plastic with bad tech inside and worst customer service, what do you folks suggest as a good modem wifi? Because this one is going to the trash can tomorrow.

Unable to change the Wi-Fi name and password on G36

When I try to change the 2.4 network name and password I get a spinning circle for about a minute, then it ges back to original name and password.   Any suggestions?

Modem is not working and led light is amber on G34

I would like to claim warranty on my Arris g34. Mines messed up and I did everything to fix it. The light is stuck on amber and I hit the reset button but it’s not doing anything.
