Wi-Fi Modems

Anytime I reboot this modem it intermentantlly goes on and off for several days before it finally stays on. I effectively have no internet for days. Is there a solution?

Hello all I installed a G36 a few months ago and when I would use 192.168.0.1 to login into the router I would get a screen saying a secure https connection is being established and I would see https in the URL. Now that screen has disappeared and I cannot manually type in https://192.168.01. I would like to re-enable the https connection. I’m on Xfinity. Any pointers would be appreciated! Thanks

just set up my G36 surfboard and started having problems with my screen freezing on Zoom and FaceTime calls. I never had this problem before with my 10 yr old modem/router. Is this happening because I set up something wrong? did I miss something in the setup? thankful for any assistance

Never had soo many issues nor seen soo many complaints on a router in my LIFE! We shouldn’t have to fix a new purchase, what a joke. And CS has been closed. Forget it! I’m finding a new company .

I was in the router/modem setup page, right after I picked my password it logged me out.Now the router is giving me a bad password error. The username is filled in by default “admin.” Am I missing something? I wrote down my password, so I know that’s not the problem.

Many of my connected devices do not appear correctly. I have erased the app from my phone several times and reinstalled it to no avail. On my computer it does show many of the devices on the network correctly. How can i fix this? Also, what is the best way to identify devices on the network?

I have a Linksys extender RE7000 purchased about 4 years ago, but not able to connect. Is it compatible with G20 ?

I just got off cable and have internet thru Xfinity. My printer connected fine to Wi-Fi before. Now I have this new combination modem and router and it won’t connect. I have another printer in another room that connected fine. That was an HP printer.

I cannot get my Acurite Connect to connect to the Arris G34 - the ethernet light will not come on either device. I have changed the cord and checked the settings- help, please?

I reest my SBG10 and when I connect to it with ethernet it show my PC having a public ip address (72.175.x.x) instead of 192.168.x.x. also the wifi is not broadcasting.

Does anyone know a specific WiFi range extender that works with the G54?

Hello, I have enabled guest wifi network on my G34 Arris modem/router (2in1) . I read in documentation for this modem that its is seprate from my main network. However I don’t see any information other then enabling and disabling the guest network. Is the guest network is really separate from my main network? Is it secure , lets assume I will have stranger connecting to this guest network.

How do you set up a VPN with a G36?

I’m very disappointed with the performance of my G54 wi-fi signals all around. My house is only 1600 square feet. G54 is centrally located. My devices constantly drop connections while inside the house, my HomePods drop their ability to connect and need to be reset once a week, my video doorbell, which has a hub only 50 feet away from the router with a direct line of site reports a weak signal and eventually disconnects itself within a day of reconnecting. Im about to swear off Arris products for good but hoping that my unit is perhaps defective. Any ideas?

Cannot get faster that 50Mbps speeds from my SBG7600ac2 Wifi. Wired ports are at 600Mbps. Does anyone have any suggestions/Ideas.

I have just installed a G36 to replace an old Linksys. Everything is working fine except my vuescan scanning software. It cannot find my Canon MB5120. Everything else is the same. I have a Dell G15 computer running Windows 11. Everything up to date. Everything is the same except the router. I have other scanner software that finds the scanner and works fine. The author of the vuescan software says that the router is blocking access for the software but offered no additional help. I have a little knowledge and experience with computers but don’t know how to go about fixing this.

So here’s a bit of weirdness. Just bought a G36 and everything seemed fine. I gave the “Primary Home” 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSID’s the same names and passwords as the old modem, so all my devices should all automatically connect without having to select a new network and enter passwords. Or so I thought. After a few minutes I realized all my PC’s and Ring devices were connected and sending/receiving data, but none of my Apple devices were. They showed as connected to the old (same as new) SSID names, but no data. This was simultaneous with my PC’s and Ring devices sending/receiving data. I tried forgetting the networks and re-entering passwords on the Apple devices, nothing worked. Out of desperation, I tried using the two “Guest” SSID’s and all the Apple devices connected with data. I honestly don’t know or understand why it worked, but it did. Just thought I’d share.

how do i connect my tv's to the internet and i have the G34 docsis 3.1 wi-fi cable modem

I have the G54 wifi/router and recently purchased the 2 pack of the mesh devices W121. Spent hours trying to get the W121 to work without success. Do I need to change a setting in the G54 unit to make this work? App keeps giving error codes which do not appear to provide answers. Please help.

I am having issues connecting smart plugs to my 2.4 connection. I have tried absolutely every trick in the book. The plugs are two foot away from the router as I am trying to pair. There are minimal devices using the 2.4. Is it the router? Do I need a stronger router?!I know it’s not xfinity - when I used their router - the smart plugs connected just fine! I have xodo & geeni smart plugs and neither brands will work with this router! geeni smart plug specs

This is a new issue within the last few days, and was not an issue a week ago when using the router for the first time. When PC is connected to (and using) ethernet, and either the 2.4g or 5g Wifi channels are active, the modem eventually (within minutes) shuts off completely, forcing me to disconnect power and reconnect to reboot. When a device or multiple devices are using the Wifi channels, and no PC is using ethernet, things seemingly work fine. When PC is connected to (and using) ethernet while Wifi channels are disabled, things seemingly work fine. There is one channel with 117 correctable codewords a
