Wi-Fi Modems

I have a Surfboard app for our internet modem at our permanent home. We just purchased a new arris modem for our temporary home and I can’t seem to open a new app because it recognizes the one I already have for a different modem. I have a different email address I can use but it won’t give me an option it just opens it up to the one I already have.

Just upgraded to 1200 because it was less expensive. Im in VERMONTI was told by a buddy of mine an independent contractor that xfinity and spectrum, both throttle down speeds to all other modems EXCEPT their own and or the 5 or 6.They have on their approved list on the website. I bought this router/modem and got it connected with my internet provider, everything was fine until I noticed the 2.4ghz connection no longer had internet access. The 5ghz still works but I have electronics that need the 2.4ghz.

I recently purchased an Arris G34. The two home Wi-Fi networks are enabled to broadcast as well as the guest Wi-Fi network but the guest network isn’t broadcasting. I am unable to see it in any device. Any guidance would be appreciated.On what I don’t think is related, for some reason the primary home network kicks some of my devices out as having an incorrect password despite repeated attempts to re-enter while other devices accept the same exact password. I’m pretty sure they were correctly entered. The second home network doesn’t do that--so I just use the second home network as the primary. But just throwing it out in case someone thinks I have a defective device. 

How should the G36 be configured to pass a GRE Tunnel through the public IP address?

Some of my devices won’t connect to the WiFi. It allows me to select the SSID and password but won’t connect. My old router had specific channels for 2.4 and 5G so it didn’t have a problem. Any suggestions?

I have purchased the G54 and either on the app or the web interface is not showing the correct/all amount of devices.On the app, it is showing 5 connections simply called “Device”, all of them with a phone icon. Cross referencing the IP addresses from the web interface, only 4 of those IP addresses show up on both lists. The 5th IP address showing on the app is my personal computer.(The one I am using to look at the web interface) On the web interface, it is showing 4 devices connected, again with the 5th connection my app is reporting being the computer I am currently on. Not sure how the device I am accessing the web interface on doesn’t show up as connected. It is also consistently dropping my phones connection which does reflect on the web interface but not the app.THE ISSUE despite seeing either 4 or 5 connections here and there, is that I actually have 16 devices currently connected and working on my network. where is SBG8300 manual?

I have forgotten my username and password to access my router. I need access to the router. I have tried to reset it on the back of the modem to default. No luck

I’m considering purchasing the ARRIS SBG8300 modem/router, because I need to buy one with DOCSIS 3.1, and need to know if I can use a DECO Mesh Wi-Fi system with it?  I also need one with as many ethernet connections as possible, and this model has 4. I currently am using the ARRIS SVG2482AC, which has 4 ethernet outputs and it is DOCSIS 3.0, and my ISP say that I need to upgrade to 3.1.Thank you

The printer won’t allow me to put in password for new router/modem. This replaces an older arris that was connected. Internet is working ok; printer shows the modem but won’t connect to it. 

I recently upgraded my Wi-Fi router to the Ares G34. I've been noticing and experiencing some slower 5G Wi-Fi, and it's a lot slower when I'm in my bedroom, when my modem and Wi-Fi router is in the living room. I live in a roughly 800 square foot apartment and I'm unsure of why I'm experiencing this or I might be wrong and this might be normal.

Just got the SBG8300 model which has the same password for 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. On my phone, two wifi names come up: “Guest” and “5G” type. The “Guest” network is connected using the default given password; however, when trying to connect to the 5G, it says “wrong password”. 

I have a new G26 modem. All hooked up. Light is flashing blue. Everything  at internet provider is ok but it won’t connect 

One day, my router stopped showing up on the networks list, but the phone line it's tied to on the ethernet still works. I quickly verified the antenna wasn't working, so we used these  range extenders for a bit. They randomly dropped the connection all the time, so today I tried turning it on in settings, but when I go to any menu in the wireless section, my browser gives an ERR_CONNECTION_RESET. Is this some over-the-air mass brickery? Unlikely. Does anyone have any solutions?

I am using iptv and tivimate to stream TV. they stoped working and will not let me reload them. I get good internet speed but can not login to these providers. Contacted them and everything is working fine on there end. Before that my speed was slower then amazon tv speed. Reset the modem and fire stick and still nothing.

Won’t accept my passwork when I attempt to use 5G, I’m only able to use 2.4 on my Arris G20 modem

I recently put my  SBG6580 modem in bridge mode by accident and I only have one modem how can I disable it without an hardwired connection.

Hi all,I purchased a Surfboard G20 to utilize DOCSIS 3.1 from Xfinity, but it’s been nothing but headache so far. After connecting it and activating via the Xfinity App, I’m only able to access specific URLs. Notably, any Google domain (like Youtube or Gmail) as well as wikipedia. No other websites will load at all. I called Arris support and they said it was corrupted firmware and had me exchange the modem/router at the place I purchased it. I did so, and the replacement has the same exact behavior. I spent 4 hours on Xfinitys tech support chat, and they have no idea what the cause could be. I suspect it’s some kind of DNS problem, but I’m not savvy enough to be able to isolate it further. A windows 10, Linux, Android, and ChromeOS device all share this behavior so I’m absolutely sure it’s not specific to any device. I have tried seemingly all options to connect my old SBG10 to the Surfboard app. Previously only managed with PC login. I keep getting error 0000-1900. I've done a complete factory reset of the device (twice) and it did the usual firmware update on the device. I tried setting up the device via the app, scanning the QR code to input the password. No success. So I set it up manually on the PC and set the password to at least 8 digit, with caps, lowers, numbers, and symbols to meet the apps criteria. Still no luck.  I am certain I am selecting the right device (SBG10), I am certain I have selected the right option (device already set up), I am certain I've typed in the right log in password (probably 15 times at this point). I've granted full permissions as the requests came in. UPDATE: Pls disregard. I was able to ferret out how to get my printer to connect to the router using steps via the ‘192.168.0.1’ login on my browser.  Success!==============What am I not doing?My printer is still reading the old service provider’s modem and I can’t seem to access what I need to in order to connect/change the settings to the new SURFboard G36.When searching for answers on the Arris website, I also tried registering my G36 during steps and Arris cannot match the serial number.  Of course it’s the weekend and the Comm website is difficult for me to navigate to find the appropriate tech-support chat to fix this.So what do I need to do now to get my printer working and the G36 and printer to recognize each other?  I can go without my printer over the weekend, but come Monday, it’ll be hairy.I don’t own a smartphone or other device, but have to connect printer to router on a desktop (Mac mini).  My HP M402dw does not have a touchs

I’m looking for a solution to this problem:With a 1gb ethernet harwired connection to the G36 router/modem the maximum speed observed on a 600mbps Spectrum account is 150mbps download/20mbps upload.The G36 has been provisioned by Spectrum 4 times.  Spectrum techs have been onsite and verified the integrity of the coax services up to the modem. 

The internet won’t connect and the icon for network is blinking.

Is the G36 capable of monitoring data usage per device?My data usage is escalating with no known reason. 

Can the Arris surfboard sbg8300 set a limit of upload amount.  Limit to 2GB per 24 hrs.?
