Dear Sir or Madam: What kind of security features does the ARRIS Surfboard G36 have? Does the ARRIS Surfboard G36 able to fight against all kinds of Internet attacks which include malware attacks, phishing attacks, password attacks, man-in-the-middle attacks, sql injection attacks, denial-of-service attacks, insider threats, cryptojacking, zero-day exploits, and watering hole attacks? Can it prevent router hackers from stealing information about the ARRIS Surfboard G36 when they use third party apps to look up this device information so they can break into the WiFi network provided by the ARRIS Surfboard G36 device? Which are major U.S. cable providers that compatible with the ARRIS Surfboard G36? Please reply back very soon. Thank you very much for your time and support.

I asked a question a couple months ago and did not receive any assistance that helps or answers my question. I have a SBG7600AC2 and want to know how to submit a warranty claim without having to call customer service?  This has consistently dropped connections and restarted many, many times over the last couple of months.  I had my cable company here twice and they don't find anything wrong on their end.  I switched to a different modem/router and haven't had any issues since.  I had to hook up a new modem in order to have wifi.  So I would now have to call my cable company back and reactivate the problem modem so Arris customer service can tell me that it doesn’t work.  It took me quite a while to activate all my devices to be working with the new modem.  I am not sure I want to have to go through that again twice.  Is there no other solution?  Anyone?

I can’t connect to the admin portal to configure my arris SBG6782. Every browser now blocks TSL 1.0 which the modem uses for the admin portal. There’s no longer a way to continue past or allow access to an insecure page.  This is a common issue as the below users all have the same issue. Forum and chat support only direct to restart the modem, factory reset, and or disconnect / reconnect the coaxial cable, none of which fix the problem.    

I am unable to connect the SBG8300 to the WOW network. I am connecting through the same coaxial port that my current WOW rented modem is connected to as I type this. While on the line with WOW, they said they could not find it via the HFC MAC. The lights on the modem were green and I do not have any splitters or anything complicated connected to this line. Has anyone encountered this or been able to get this router working with WOW? 

My sbg10 has no power, I have unplugged from the outlet and plugged into another and still not working, what can I do? 

How do I change it? I am able to log into the modem via the IP address but I cannot figure out how to change the pass key from the original that’s located on the back of the modem.

We have Frontier FiOS with an Arris NVG468MQ router.  We recently dropped FiOS TV (and Frontier is dropping it everywhere), kept Frontier FiOS internet but added basic Spectrum (copper).  We have an Arris AM525 to extend Wifi to the opposite end of the house but when the Spectrum folks hooked up the TV they just disconnected it.  We have crappy Wifi at that end of the house again so I plugged the co-ax back in and it seemed to fire up good.  When I did a Wifi analyzer the signal strength was off the charts.  But now we cannot log into the Wifi from there.  We can see the Wifi network, the signal strength is super strong, but it absolutely will not accept the WAP key.  WAP key works with other extenders but absolutely not with that.  Tried with several devices and with my cell phone, will not connect.  Not sure why we can see the Wifi network but cannot log into it now.  There is a WAP key on the AM525 but it will not accept that either.  Not a networking expert but not sure i

is modem arris sbg6400 compatible for xfinity comcast 400mbps internet service?

Is it possible to change the password for my sbg6700-ac modem+router? If so, how ?

My ARRIS SURFboard SBG8300 occasionally makes a whirring noise.  I've only had it for 7 months.  Should I be alarmed?  Thanks for any help.

I have reset.the router, disconnected and reconnected the coax cable that goes direct from the box to the wall, and the router appears to work. Several devices find it but then they all say "no internet". I tried resetting up the Surfboard app - which I uninstalled after set-up but that is even having issues.

My box continues to turn on and off. Any idea why and how to fix? Model SBG6700-AC. 

Online light is off. Resetting device does not help. How can I fix this?

Whe I test my network speed on my Surfboard app I can only see the upload and download speed from my device to the modem.  Why can't I see the speeds from my modem to my ISP?

I have a arris DG9450 that was issued by my service provider. The issue is to play some of my games I need to open ports to allow me to do so but I haven't found a tutorial online that is set up like my modem also when I called customer support they couldn't help. The solution for them was to go look at Google and YouTube and pay $5 for a nat access. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this router so I can get everything running.

My Brother BRW38B1DBBFE21E. is connected to 2.4 WiFi on SurfBoard G34. Yet it doesn’t show under connected devices. It does show up connected in my Network Analyzer IOS app. I can print from my laptop connected to 5 or 2.4. My IOS products will only see it and print on 2.4. All worked fine on my ISPs Technicolor modem I replaced  a week ago. Anyone with a fix?

I’ve been using a SBR AC1750 WiFi Router for 5 years now.  Lately it has been “losing DNS”, and it’s getting worse.  I now have to restart it 5-10 times per day.  I’ve spent hours with my ISP’s tech support and changed out my cable modem, and there has been no improvement.  This makes me wonder if my WiFi router is the problem.It doesn’t matter which DNS server I’m using (ISP vs google vs cloudflare).  But I randomly lose the ability to resolve DNS.  If I know an IP address, I can still communicate with it (ping, streaming video, skype, etc) during the outage. This happens on multiple computers simultaneously.  The only way I’ve found to fix things is to reboot my WiFi Router (and possibly cable modem - I’ll experiment with this soon).  My firmware seems to be up-to-date.Has anyone heard of this?  Or have any suggestions on a fix?  Thanks

Was finally able to get my new refurbished SBG8300 to activate with my Optimum service but the WiFi network does not seem to work. None of my devices are able to connect to either 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz networks.When the optimum service finally worked/activated the WiFi did work on my phone for a bit and then I am now no longer able to connect to the 5Ghz WiFi network but can connect to the 2.4Ghz one but without network connectivity/internet.  LAN connected devices all have no issues getting connected to network and accessing the web. Is there something wrong with the WiFi settings or does Optimum also need to activate for the WAN MAC Address as well as the lady only did it for the HFC MAC Address?

How do you check the amount of wifi used monthly through the modem? I don’t want to check through the my provider. Also, is it possible to disconnect or pause devices on WiFi through the app or is an update coming for that?

I purchased a new Arris G34 Modem on 1 November 2022, for some reason it keeps losing connection to the internet when i call my ISP provider they can see the modem but I have no connection to the internet.  So I do the reboot and have to do this several times during the week this is not right a new modem should not be acting this way when I call Tech support to day they tell me to monitor it for 24 hours.  I’ve monitored it for over 2 months of this issue this Modem is Defective why will tech support not address the issue????

When trying to login to the modem I am getting an Alert Window with the message “Please Login First!”This happens when using the correct password.   An incorrect password gives the message of Invalid Credentials.

I would like to remove a cached wireless client from the list of wireless clients on my 2.4G network so it is forced to re-establish itself as a new “client” on the gateway, maybe with different IP address.  I don’t see that it is possible though.  I can do this on other wifi routers but maybe Arris does not provide this capability?  If not, do I need to leave the device turned off for a number of days before the record will auto-purge? Thanks,Lucius
