Wi-Fi Modems

I have a SBG7600AC2 and want to know how to submit a warranty claim?  It has consistently dropped connection and restarted many, many times over the last couple of months.  I had my cable company here twice and they don't find anything wrong on their end.  I switched to a different modem/router and haven't had any issues since.  Thanks.

I just got a new printer (HP 8022) I couldn't get it to connect to the G36. Everything else connects to it just fine. I decided to try another WIFI modem/router, so I bought a G34. After many hours of frustration I got it to connect thru WIFI on the G34. So I decided to reconnected the G36 and try it again. I have done basically the same things I did with the G34 and nothing. The printer shows up as a network as HP setup, but the printer its self will not see the WIFI network. I am not a expert of any kind but I have manually added the mac address for the printer, I have tried turning off the firewalls, I have changed the security modes, WPS and WIFI direct and still nothing. I have no problem with the printer when hooked up via ethernet cable? I cant figure it out. On the side note I no longer have the G34 So I really need this one to work.Any advice will be useful 

Comcast recommends I replace my current Arris modem Gateway (SGB6580) with an updated model that can handle at least 400mb/s. What are the Arris replacements, cost & where to purchase?

ISP is installing internet to my newly constructed house.  I purchased the SBG8300 for Xfinity service.  Instructions require that the ethernet cable connects to my laptop.  I have a MacBook Pro, which has no ethernet ports. Any suggestions? 

I’ve googled this and they tell you to take your mobile device (andriod)  far enough away from the router/ modem to force it to 2.4ghz.  But still during setting up, the WYZE v3 cameras are replying that they cannot connect to the network.  Is there not a way to have this dual band router support my tablet/ phone, etc. at 5ghz and also recognize the cameras on the 2.4ghz band?I also googled this and there are videos to “blend” the 2 networks but I had no success.  It’s was over may pay grade lol.David G.

I’ve just received the SBG7400AC2 in the mail, and followed the instructions to get it set up. When it turns on, the top light and bottom two are solid blue. The middle light (internet connectivity) is off entirely, and the second light (send/receive) is blinking continuously. I am unable to connect using my service provider. I have let it sit overnight and tried again, as well as completely disconnecting and reconnecting it. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you solve it? TIA!

In the last several months I’ve had to power down/power up my “Xfinity-compatible” SBG6900-AC Gateway Router dozens of times because one or more of our computers or iPhones mysterious lose Internet connection. How does a Comcast Xfinity customer figure out whether it’s a problem with my SBG6900, or some kind of problem with Comcast Xfinity?   My SBG6900 error log shows repeated Critical arcane events like, “ No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out” and “ Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out” or “Honoring MDD; IP provisioning mode = IPv6, No Maintenance broadcasts for ranging opportunities received - T2 tiime-out”. It’s all but impossible to talk to a human Xfinity technician anymore; all phone support leads me in circles. The cynic in me also wonders if Comcast is trying to drive customers to exasperation who bought their own gateway routers, to get them to rent Xfinity’s equipment again, due to “growing incompatibility” or some such pretext.

four ethernet ports only one works on mySBG6950AC2

Created new Surfboard acct. hoping the User name & Password would allow me to make some changes to my arris 6900-AC gateway. That did not work.  How do I get a User & P/W that is required when I try to sign in with the Gateway I.P. ?

I  installed the model Surboard SBF10, I just need to know if the firmware is updated or how can check for updated and steps to do it?

I originally used my Arris SBG10 a few years ago, before the new app came out. I just recently added another internet package to my home to connect security devices to and planned on hooking it back up. I did a factory reset and now i have no idea how to set up wifi... please help!!

Once logged into the web interface, there are three headings at the top of the page: “Configuration”, “Operation”, and “Logout”.  I am guessing that “Operation” is where I can view traffic or logs and whatnot but when I click it, I am presented with another login page that will not accept my admin password or the password from the side of the physical gateway. I cannot find any documentation or resources explaining how to correct this. What am I doing wrong?

I have a new mini pc that connects tot he network via wireless but it’s PC NAME isn’t showing up in the client list of the Lan Settings for the modem.  It shows up as “unknown”   How can I fix this?…. thanks!

I have a ARRIS SBG7400AC2 router/modem to use with Xfinity. For a while now, the wired Ethernet  connections do not seem to be working, but the Wi-Fi works just fine. I have tried different Ethernet cables, and different ports, but the result is the same. I had the wired connections leading to me PC and printer. But now I can only connect to both via Wi-Fi. I do have a Blink doorbell dongle plugged into the USB port in the front that seems to work fine, too. I noticed this happen after we had a lightning storm one day, so I’m wondering if that was the cause. The router has been unplugged and restarted many times, but that hasn’t fixed the issue. Is there a way to test and see what the issue might be? I’m just trying to figure out if maybe there is a different way to reset that might fix things, or if there is something that just got fried internally for this to happen. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

How do I change my firewall settings so I can get onto a website? I use this website for work and can access it anywhere but from my home unless I long in using my iPhone hotspot. If I use my home internet it will allow me to get to the website but when I attempt to log in it gives me a 404 (not found) Error

I am attempting to host a Space Engineers dedicated server to play with my friend. This application by default uses port 27016.Forwarding this port in my modem and using canyouseeme.org I am unable to get the port to report open even after using a variety of different fixes.5I am able to see my server in the LAN section of the server browser but it does not list in the public facing list as it should be if the port was open.I have disabled windows firewall/defender and also Malwarebytes while trying to sort this out.My ISP is xfinity and I already called them to see if there was something weird on their end but they said it is a modem or PC configuration issue.DMZ doesn't work either says my ports are still closed.I feel like I know what I am doing here normally and am very confused. Spent a good amount of time trying different solutions I have found online and have been unable to sort the issue.

Pretty simple:  Using the Surfboard app, showing internet speeds of 450 mbps but shows only 70 mbps on WiFi which is observed on connected devices.  I’m guessing it’s something very simple I’m missing.  Using spectrum.  At my home when I updated to new modem immediately WiFi went to 350 mbps. 

Hello, My SBG8300 is blinking both lights at the same time (fast blue on both) after a factory reset. My MediaCom technician checked everything and seems that my router is the issue.See the attached picture. Is there anything I can do, or is it the end of it?Thanks

I got the SBG8300 a few weeks ago and having some video lagging issues with my laptop. I’m paying for 400Mbps. The laptop has an Intel wireless-AC 9560 Channel Bandwidth of 160MHz on 5GHz. I did SpeedTest from about 30ft from the router. and get about 100Mbps. My iPhone gets 375Mbps from the same spot. I don’t know about the wireless on the iPhone but is this a fair comparison?Does the SBG8300 go to 160 or is 80MHz max?  Would it help if I had a 160MHz router?

Hello,, Forgot my admin password for the router so performed a hard factory reset.  Since then I am unable to login with default admin credentials.  Yes checked my typing and also attempted with cusadmin and serial number and last 8 of serial number.  Any suggestions?

The g34 cable modem will not connect to the internet. The isp has activated the device. I only have one blue light strip at the bottom that glows solid blue. No connection to the internet.

I cannot see my G34 network on an older laptop. This is not a problem with the password not working.The laptop’s network adapter is 802.11 n, so it should work. It’s not even seeing the G34 as an option to connect to.

I recently upgraded to the SBG8300 router. I have reconnected all my wifi devices for the exception of my Google Mini. It fails to connect via wifi. I have performed a hard reset to the mini, added both 2.4g and 5g as network options,, tried new google mini and spoken to tech support. It worked fine with my old router. I use it as the doorbell chime for my Nest front door camera. Google has no ideas and claims it’s the set up of my SBG8300. Arris tech support can’t find the answer either.

Hello.It seems that my modem is bricked. Everything was working until the connection dropped. One solid blue light appears for the power icon. Browser will not connect to 192.168.0.1 or alternatives. Tried 15s , 30-30-30 method to factory reset, doesn’t work. Power cycling multiple times does nothing as well.Can this be salvaged? Any help would be appreciated.

Our devices are no longer connected to our Surfboard SBG6580-2, and when we try to reconnect for internet service, we are told that we have an incorrect password. We have used the Wi-Fi security key that came with the Surfboard all of this time. We’ve reset the Surfboard, including the 30-30-30 reset, and also had Comcast reset it, but we’re still unable to connect. Any solutions to this problem?
