On Surfboard SVG282AC the wifi speed next to the device is less than 70mb - speed at PC via ethernet is over 300. So it's not a Comcast issue. Anyone know if there are new settings in firmware I should try?

It will get stuck on “configuration file download” and then restarts the entire process. I noticed that the total flash memory available is only 39 MB. A total of 422 MB of 462 MB have been used. I feel like this is the reason it can’t download the config file and then restarts the process. Is there any way to delete the flash memory or am I out of luck and need a new modem?

Tv is working but WiFi isn’t working on iphones

Super excited my G54 will be here in a few days and had a setup question. I will be splitting my network into multiple SSDIs for some devices that will only connect to a 2.4Ghz SSID. but my question is all my other devices will connect to the 5Ghz high band. Is it possible to only broadcast the 2.4Ghz band and the 5Ghz high band. Either hide the 6ghz and 5Ghz low band or disable those two bands? 

I bought SBG8300,  internet is through Xfinity , however Samsung Smart is not able to connect the internet /WIFI. I am not sure what settings needs to do to connect TV to Wifi.

We recently switched to the g54 modem/router. It advertises that the signal will reach 5,000 sq ft, which is why we bought it. We were hoping to avoid a mesh system again.  our house is just under 5,000 sq ft and the modem/router is located around the middle of the house on the main level (our home is 3 levels with the basement). We are having difficulty getting good signals at the corners of the house.  what is our best option for extending signal into the corners?  Do we have to do another mesh system?  Would this mean that we would have to use the bridge mode?  Or is there a way to extend the signal without completely bypassing the g54’s router?   We are not terribly tech savvy so any guidance and product suggestions would be appreciated. 

Bought sgd 10 Friday. Followed quick start,and nothing. 

Upgraded to the SBG8300 a few weeks ago.  First couple of weeks went flawlessly then started having issue with internet dropping.  Talked to Xfinity, no issues shown on their end.  Did factory reset on the SBG8300, still having intermittent dropping issues.  Power cycling the modem brings everything back online until the next instance (could be hours between occurrences).   Pulled event logs from today’s drop at 9:21  

My Roku express+ and Surfboard G36 disconnect daily.  I have to do a system restart on the Roku to connect to the G36 and this is becoming troublesome.I’m able to connect the Roku to the G36 successfully, however, randomly they stop communicating.  I asked Roku if it was the Roku device and they said no. because the Roku works correctly when I use my iPhone 15 hotspot.Looking around some suggested I make sure the G36 is set up on “b/g/n” and it is in fact set up on “b/g/n/ax” for 2.4 GHz.  The issue has to be with the G36.  It’s new as of December 2023 and that when this issue started.Any thoughts on a solution?  

I have an AppleTV and a few computers wired to a switch and then the switch is wired to my base. How can I keep the connections from sleeping even if the connected device goes to sleep (like at night, etc).Sometimes the AppleTv is hard to wake up with the remote

I have a surfboard Sbg6782-ac and would like to get it refurbished  with the latest software so that I can sell it.   I am moving to your Surfboard S33 and there is nothing wrong with my old modem.   I just wanted to upgrade.  I don't want to throw it out but know the software is out of date and dont want to throw it i  the trash.   And NO your ISP does NOT autoupdate….if you own it they won’t touch it contrary to what you say.  Believe me I have argued many times with the Isp.  They will if they own it and give you that modem but if you own it forget it.

  Since mid December I have been experiencing excessive intermittent connectivity with my Arris G36. I replaced what I thought was a defective Fire Stick 4K Max, but after much research it turns out that Xfinity is to blame with their failed upgrade to blah blah blah 4.0.   The newest firmware update that was pushed out to us is garbage and needs to be reverted back to the previously working firmware. 

How do I reset password don't remember current one 

I was told by my internet provider that I should change my username and password on my Arris SB6190 modem.  There were some concerns that our usage is unusual and perhaps we’d been hacked.  They said it wasn’t their equipment.

Hello, I have an S33 modem with Spectrum internet. The spectrum tech installed the modem and it has been hooked up to a wireless router and working fine with all wi-fi connections. After the install I connected the modem directly to a network switch and the wireless router still works fine. However I have connected an NVR home security system to the switch that requires direct ethernet and it wont connect. I called the security camera support and they are telling me that the direct line is IPV6 and it needs to be IPV4 to work. I am also experiencing no internet connection my wired Samsung smart tvs. Is there an easy fix?

How can I update or find out if there is a firmware update for SBG7580-AC ?

Years ago, when I set up my S33, I turned the LED off. Now I want it back on. I was mistaken that a hard reset would do that. I'm kind of surprised that it didn't.I downloaded and installed the web manager. No joy there because the app can't find the modem (?!?).So... What's the trick?

Hi,I have just changed internet provider and has been unfortunate to receive a TG3442  modem.First my provider has chosen to use the preshared wireless key as the password to the modem settings. Nice if you cannot read the sticker, also nice if you have to reset the modem in the future. This was not really a big deal just a small anoyance. When I finally managed to scan the needed codes and I wanted to disable the wireless networks in the  modem,I am asked to fill out a captja before the settings can be saved. Surely no thought aat  all has been spared on the general accesibility of these products. Surely such a captja requirement will violate the a accessibility requirements that  takes effect in 2025 in the EU. Of course it is nice to have such an obvious case to test for the new rules if necessary, but currently I am not happy  with the state of accessibility on this modem, and I am going to find a  way to change to something else less unfriendly to a screen reader user as soon as p

In order to get a service from Xfinity I would need el Network Namen and Pasword of my modem. Given that the modem is Motorotola I asked them about that.  Motorola sent me an email telling:“Based on the MAC address provided, the device appears to be an Arris modem. The older Motorola modems, the Surfboards, were manufactured by them. Please reach out to Arris's customer support for further assistance with addressing the issue you're experiencing with your modem: https://arris.my.salesforce-sites.com/consumers/ConsumerProductSupport.” The information printed on the bottom label:of the modem is: SURFboard Model: SB6121Thank you.FCI:001 Thank you. 

My SB6190, connected to Comcast, has worked well for the past couple of years. SB6190 modem not working. no lights working. Bought new July 2023. It is still under warranty, please replace! thanks

I just got connected to xfinity internet today with my new SB6183. When I directly connect my computer to the modem, I connect to the internet just fine. When I connect the modem to my wifi router, nothing. Do I need to update any settings in the modem prior to connecting my router? Or is this just a router issue? The router was working just fine 10 min ago connected to my old modem.

I'm an Xfinity internet customer experiencing an issue with my modem's upload speed. While my download speeds are good (around 450 Mbps), the upload speed is erratic, ranging from 0.1 to 1 Gbps within a short time frame.A technician visited my house and checked the coax connections and modem performance. Although they didn't find any obvious issues, they suspected a possible hardware failure within the modem. They temporarily installed a different cable modem, and the upload speed stabilized significantly.The modem I'm currently using is an Arris model purchased in February 2021. Given the technician's suspicion and the temporary fix, I'm considering replacing the modem. However, I'm unsure if this is a common issue with Arris modems or if 3 years is the typical lifespan for such devices.I'd appreciate any advice on whether to replace the modem and what brand/model to consider. Has anyone else experienced similar upload speed fluctuations with their Arris modem?
