I have sb8200 with COX in Phoenix, and I have exactly same thing happening, started about 2 month ago and it would drop to 30 mbps every week or so, cox came out checked the line and said it was good.

Was working for a few weeks, then started to have trouble connecting and makes a high pitch swuealing noise before connecting. Yesterday it took about 30 minutes to connect after power outage. Today we rearranged and unplugged it for a while. Now it wont connect at all. The light is solid amber except every 8 seconds it turns green for one second then back to amber. The whine is constant.

Does this modem support the SIP ALG setting? Need to have this disabled because it is interfering with VOIP calls.

I’ve lost internet at my home and working with my cox provider we did a hard reset on our arris touchstone cm8200. They needed the network password and network id that should have been on the modem but it is not. How do i find that information?

Hello, I am trying to set up the app on my mobile device using the pamphlet included in the box but it is not working.   It was originally set up using another persons information rather than my own and they lost access to their email to get into the account.  How do I, if possible , reset it and set it up to only my information and also get the app to work on my iPhone 11.  I need to be able to have control of the modem and devices.  Thank you. 

I purchased the G36 modem/router because it specifically had Wifi 6. Sometimes I am getting very good and fast connection with my devices, but other times, at least once or twice a day, my devices will lose connection and sometimes disconnect from the network entirely. I have to restart the G36 each time this happens and things work again but this usually takes about 5 minutes at least which is not acceptable when on a work call. Are there any resolutions or firmware updates that might fix this? 

How do you reset the modems name and password?

My modem will not provide internet access to either of the two Wi-Fi routers I have tried. The lan cable works with my ps5 so I know internet is coming to the modem. I have netgear routers. I have reset all of them and turned off and turned on all of them. Any other ideas?

I just purchased a SBG8300 and I have xfinity 1GB plan. I previously was using an sbg6950ac2. We are direct connecting via ethernet.With the old modem, we were getting speeds of around 400 MBS using comcast speed test so we decided to upgrade. However, with the new modem we are only getting around 150MBS. We tried multiple devices and different cables. Interestingly I am getting around 350MBS using my galaxy phone using wifi…Comcast of course says they are not the problem and that I should contact the manufacturer of the modem. Any suggestions?

How far is the range for the SBG10, really? I'm trying to find the specs again and I thought I read that it was up to a 1400 sq ft area.I've tried two different copies of this model and they have both had trouble reaching a device barely 30 feet away... Is that normal or are the specs wrong?

I need to set my password/username for the sb8200 modem. I do not have original password/username, and also did a factory reset. But do not know how to change it. Please help. Thanks.

Just setup our Surfboard G36 and I can't get it to connect to our HP Photosmart 5520. Any suggestions? I've tried the 5G and 2.4.

I do not understand this modem and am looking for the user manual. Where is it? 

Arris SBG8300 as provided does not allow VPN pass-thru.  There is article (link below) that provides direction how to do so.  But this requires newer firmware version 01.02.078.04.NCS or later to enable via ALG sub-menu. My box has earlier firmware 1.01.137.NCS which does not have the ALG menu.  Thus I cannot enable VPN.Arrris support says contact my ISP (Spectrum) to push new firmware.BUT: Spectrum doesn’t have the new firmware; they say that Arris has not provided any updates since the 1.01 version.SO: caught in nowhere land, cannot use VPN.  The link below is helpful ONLY if you have firmware 1.02.078 or later; if you do not, then apparently SOL??Anyone else having this issue?  Any work-around?? Link below that helps if you have proper firmware:http://arris.force.com/consumers/articles/General_FAQs/SBG8300-VPN-Passthrough-Setup

Hi everyone,I have a brand new Arris S33 on Cox Hampton Roads VA Beyond Fast internet Tier 2g down/100mbps up speed package. It is connected to also a brand new Orbi Mesh RBR60 with one additional satellite. Wan cable between the modem/router is connected to the Arris 2.5gb port of course. My speeds tests average around 2300gbps down and 100up consistently 98% percent of the time and all my devices throughout the house apple TV’s, cams, etc work great no buffering. The coax running to the house( RG-11) by Cox are relatively new from the pedestal to the demark and from there to the modem(New RG 6)and great signal readings have been verified by both senior Cox field techs and their supervisors and maintenance and headend techs have indicated everything looks perfect ayt every connection point(I used to work for Cox in tech support and still have some contacts fortunately in field services:) It is also a straight coax run all the way from the street, no splitters, amps etc as we only have

My Arris S33v2 stopped working and has a white light in the front. What does a white light indicate? Seen meaning for other colored lights but not white

  I just recently purchased the SB8200 because the modem that i was renting through the provider would never let me get more than 350mbps download and 55 upload and that's on a good day, when im paying for 1GB service.   I live in a town that is fairly small and almost an hour from any bigger cities. When I started my plan through them they put new cable all the way out to the power line. So I know there's no problems with the line at least that has been found.     I am also renting EERO devices for an additional 16$ a month just so i can manage who is on my network and set time limits for the kiddos otherwise I would not be able to receive/modify any of my network settings right?. I feel as if my provider is lying to me that 1GB service is supported in my area.   Every tech that has came out makes up a new excuse each time and they always say that the speed looks good on there end but it could be my devices or some other excuse. For the past few weeks my internet has gone out almost every day.  Resetting the modem seems to fix it, at least temporarily.  I’ve talked to Xfiniity several times and they say I should replace the modem, yet several nearby neighbors have had the same issue and it’s unlikely that all of our modems would malfunction at the same time.Unfortunately I don’t have much expertise with modem/internet setup and I have no idea how to troubleshoot it.  Any advice?

I’ve had this router for a little under a year now. I haven’t had any problems until recently. In the last few months, connection has cut out at night typically around 9pm. It would cut in and out through the night. But start January 1 (writing this on January 7), it started to cut out more frequently spreading to throughout the day. It cuts out every few minutes to a couple hours for anywhere between 1-10 minutes at a time. I tried asking my apartment complex and they directed me to the wifi provider. I contacted the wifi provider and they forced a reset. They said the modem is working fine. They said the problem is that the modem and router aren’t connection like they should.I have tried unplugging and plugging back in. That didn’t help at all. I tried it several times. It’s still faulty and cutting out.

Bought back in 2019, Are these 2 different products 2.4 or 5 G?  Or neither?  i need a 2.4, I THINK, to be able to link my Catlink litterbox to this.  I can’t get it to link, as is.  See photos.  Much appreciated!!!

The router is correctly set up with ISP, able to restart router from xfinity app, but can’t get the router to connect to phone or surfboard app. Intro packet has different SSID and password than on the box, even successfully scanned the QR on modem and still said it couldn’t find the network, any ideas?

My G34 loses connection at around 7:00 everyday, it stays solid blue for a minute then blinks blue then blinks green then goes solid and repeats over and over. Idk what to do at this point no wires are damaged device is brand new and my isp says it’s fine.
