So, I’ve had this Arris SBG7580-AC modem for years which was prior to the rollout and implementation of the McAfee Security firmware on this model.  However, Comcast pushed an firmware update to my modem which I felt was an intrusion.  Making a long story short working with Arris Executive Customer Support, Comcast and McAfee engineer’s all of the technical support persons did not know how to disable this McAfee Firmware.  Eventually, working together they came up with some coding to disable the functionality.  Just wanted to mention this.   Now, moving forward many years I know this modem is discontinued.  Not being technically knowledgeable enough,  I’m wanting to know if this modem has the capability to support Xfinity’s higher speeds?  I don’t know if the higher speeds which are available for Wifi 6Ghz range. Thanks for the response and knowledge.

On my SBG8300l what would cause a single Ethernet port to deliver 10/100 while the other three deliver gigabit speeds? With Xfinity Speed Test, Ports 1, 3, and 4 deliver 250Mbps+ download, but Port 2 delivers a maximum of 92Mbps.

I have been having issues with my upload speed on my laptop. I have an ARRIS model: TG3452. I am the only one using this device and it has both 5g and 2.4g. I use 5g and the only difference i can see between the 2 in tests, is that 2.4g just has slower downloads. I have a very fast plan and on my mobile phone I can get 300-400 Mb/s download and around 25 Mb/s upload. However on my laptop I can get 300-350 Mb/s download and less than 1 Mb/s upload. If I enable FIBS for the wifi network the download speed is then limited to 25 Mb/s but the upload speed rises to the expected 25 Mb/s. All speed tests were done with speedof.me. If i enable random mac address it drops both upload and download speeds to around 0.5 Mb/s. And it doesn't get fixed for a while, even when I change random mac address back. FIBS also doesn't really seem to do anything until i disconnect and reconnect the wifi on my laptop. I tried to mobile hotspot my laptop to my phone (with everything default, no random mac addres

I want to change my password and security settings for my Arris modem but my info is not accepted when I try to log in. 

Recently connected Samsung TV using Xfinity internet and lost the connection. It is asking for a password and I don’t know which number on the modem I should be using to reconnect WiFi. 

Hello, my SB8200 is dropping intermittently for about a few minutes and then reconnects. I had this same issue last year where I had to get a replacement SB8200. Here is my event log and upstream/downstream. Any ideas about what could be causing the issue? I have a BGW210-700 DSL modem provided by AT&T.I need to configure the unit to port forward messages directed to the unit from the internet to an IP on my Lan. The modem has a static IP. What I would really like is a configuration manual on the device.

My new SB8200, but its software/firmware says it is a SB6183 DOCSIS 3.0.  What is going on!  Would I replace it?

As of this week (9/18/23) my SVG2482AC is crashing on Xfinity multiple times daily. Comcast support told me that due to the well know (new to me) issues with the “PUMA 6” chipset it is now not supported, in fact, INCOMPATIBLE, with the Xfinity network. But check out this ad:https://www.arrismodem.com/svg2482ac/It clearly states for use with Xfinity! Do I get a refund or at least a credit from Arris for this? They are/were clearly “DUMPING” these guys with a defective chipset.What do you know about this? Thanks.

My Arris SBG10 is only 26 months old & I am not connected to the Internet. I have reset it, unplugged & replugged it in a different outlet & I don't have ANY lights lit up on the Arris SBG10.I just missed out on the warranty by 2 months. Is it possible that the Arris is shot?

new G34 hooked up today internet and wifi working but when i open surfboard app(yellow) it says “cannot connect to wireless gateway” also idk the login info for the new G34 for the app.  any help is appreciated thank you!

I have been having connectivity issues with both ethernet and wifi connections via my work laptop for the past few months (after one of my company’s patches). My home PC and all of my smart devices work fine. We (my company’s IT department and myself) have tested many things, but the fact that my cellular hotspot works flawlessly with my company’s laptop, leads us back to my modem/router as the core of the issue. My company’s IT group has suggested that there is possibly a firmware update for my modem/router. I have been unsuccessful find where that would take place. I’ve used the IP address via my home PC AND I tried to use the SBC app (the new one), but it fails to connect to the wifi every time. I’ve used the QR code as well as the WIFI name and password that I set up. I am receiving error code 0000-1614. I also contacted my ISP Spectrum and they told me that because I purchased this modem/router myself instead of using their rented pieces, they cannot update firmware for me. Hi,It has been 2 days I am having very hard time to login to router page after I reset the router. I did a ton of research on internet and tried many different options but none of them worked. I am connected through a LAN right now and I not able to connect through WIFI. There is sticker about username and password. It would be a great help if I can get this working. Thank you.  

I am looking to find out what the latest release and version is for my S33.   I would like to know if the one I purchased is up to date.   I understand because I own it I cant update it from you nor will my ISP.  And dont tell me they auto update it, because they dont.That isn’t the question.   I  want to know it for my knowledge, and if you wont tell me, why wont you?So, when we think it might be too old we can replace it.

I am having trouble connecting to wifi with my surfboard sb6141 modem. I have xfinity internet connection. They were able to send signal to modem and also reset it. But I cannot see my name wifi name.

Modem not maintaining connection and overheating as well warranty is still in effect.

How do I enable an IPv6 on my Arris G36 and connect it to Xbox

I’m using a SVG2842 phone enabled Arris modem/router. My IP address page looks different from some others who have shared screen shots of where they found their system and event logs. Mine is a different website. When I go to the logs page, it produces no logs. I’ve tried over several days. Screenshot here with greyed out logs circled in black. When I hit the show logs button, it has a dialogue box that says this will take a minute and then produces nothing. I need these to show Xfinity. I’m one of the unfortunately folks who lost internet access this week because my Arris surfboard keeps rebooting (never loses power). It doesn’t stay on for even an hour. Yet I have no logs to show.     

Trying to connect new sbg10. Replacing Comcast equipment.  We are plugged in and cable is connected.  Comcast sent signals but when I try to login it says improper password.  This is the password from the quick start guide. Under connecting using mobile device,  it says something about sbg10 activation.  All I have done is plug it in, connect the cable and call comcast.

Hello, I purchased the G34 in December to improve the performance of my Xfinity wifi and it keeps disonnecting while showing it’s connected and 2-3 bars.  My performance is now worse than when using the xfinity router. How can you fix this?SN: [edit: removed personal information]

I have an Arris Wifi Router Modem combo, Model Number DG3450. My 2.5Ghz and 5Ghz wifi connections have the same Name and Password all of a sudden and I need them to be different so I can connect to different devices. When I try to change the name and Password of the 2.5 and 5 ghz Wifi network it gives me an access denied yet I am logged into my router, it just gives me the access denied when i try editing the name or password of ether? How would I fix this, anything helps?  

I was trying to reconnect my Blink security system to my wifi after the electricity had to be turned off at the breaker for work on the house.It kept saying "incorrect password" despite confirming it and typing it in correctly.So I decided to try changing my wifi network password to try the blink again with new wifi credentials. But now when I go to change my password on Arris ..I type in the current then the new and I get an error "current password incorrect" I can see in the app and on the physical modem itself that it is correct. All of our phones amd other devices are able to connect properly with the current password so that confirms that I have the correct password.Why would Arris be saying"incorrect current password"  when i can see that it is indeed the correct current password.(using the web gui because the app itself wasn't updating the password which I've noticed many other users had problems with)
