Wondered how long you could run your BGW210 on an external battery backup power supply?  The answer is quite a long time--it draws only12 Watts while on and transmitting wi-fi. I measured this draw at the 110V input to its EPS36R0-16 adapter supply (which is rated much higher at about 36 Watts). The measurement was made using the power meter built into my Generac GB1000  uninterruptible power supply.  FYI--When the BGW210 is also producing the dialtone on a connected landline, it draws one additional Watt.    

S33 dropping connection, very hot.  I have had it hooked up for 4 days and I get a dropped connection and buffering all the time. I’m trying to set up my surfboard Model: SB8200 and it’s asking for SSID and password provided on device label and I don’t see this info on the label. Please help. I’m getting very frustrated. There was no QR code either.

HELP! HAD ISSUES WITH MODEM NOW WORKING BUT DEFAULTED TO ORIGINAL NAME AND PASSWORD (OUT OF WARRANTY). CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS AND DIRECTING ME TO WHERE IT CAN BE CHANGED??  THANK YOU!!!! 

I recently changed phones from an iPhone XS Max to an iPhone 15 Pro Max. SURFboard Central was installed and working perfectly on my iPhone XS Max. When using SURFboard Central on my iPhone 15 Pro Max connected to my SURFboard Wi-Fi network I get the above error. The phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network. When I turn off cellular service I get the same error. If I choose Try Again I get the same error. If I choose Continue Onboarding I eventually get to a screen that says “To continue, manually connect to the (SURFboard-Onboarding) SSID through your mobile phone setting.” That SSID is not available and the phone is still connected to the SURFboard Wi-Fi network. How do I get out of this error loop without resetting my entire network and the several dozen devices connected to it?

Called Centurylink and they told me I had to contact you to update the device to get it registered on their system. They told me to give you the code PTM tagged 201

Here's my humorous situation. I'm not at home right now & I didn't take screenshots of my T25. I'm trying to find out the WiFi name & password so I can activate my Xfinity TV Flex box, landline & internet. I don't want to waste your time & no clue what the serial number is & whatnot. Left brochure w/ Arris customer service phone number at home. The other thing is I keep being misinformed what the proper Arris model is by Xfinity, Best Buy & Arris. Basically, I'm not the greatest techie, I need to at least verify the T25 will enable me to use my Xfinity Flex Box for my TV, my Xfinity landline & internet connection. I've purchased (3) Arris modems so far yet I keep jumping back & forth between Xfinity & Arris on the correct model. I can find out the Arris model I recently purchased from Amazon but I'd like to return it if the T25 serves my needs. I realize it's not your fault that I got stuck w/ (3) Arris modems so far. I have a Arris SBG8300 DOCSIS3.1 Modem Router. I had separate bands for WiFi, one 2.4 GHz and other 5 GHz. Both used to show up on wifi settings for connection. For the past two days I don’t see 2.4 GHz band anymore. I seldom see the 2.4 GHz band but when I try to join that network, I get the message “Couldn’t join network”. I have smart devices which use 2.4 GHz band and since 2.4 GHz is no more available, all the smart devices are useless. I have tried restarting the modem. I have also done a factory reset but 2.4 GHz band does not show.Any help is appreciated.

Why isn’t my modem operating in docsis 3.1 mode when my ISP says it’s supposed to be?

Any firmware or software updates to the T25 modem?  It’s rare that any manufacture gets it right the first time around.   

The 4 Channel’s Upstream Power Levels on my ARRIS SBG7600AC2 are  between 44.25 dBmV (the lowest) - 45.50 dBmV (the highest). Are those levels low? Can they be increased? If so, how can they be increased?I am experiencing low WiFi Signals for both my wireless Blink Camera System, and my Amazon Firesticks. If that signal is settable within my Modem\Router please help me increase it. If not, can ARRIS tweak those settings for me? Thank you!

I have purchased a brand new SURFBoard SB8200. But lately i have been having several interruptions on my connectivity, where it seems the modem reboots itself. This is causing me a lot of issues I am running my own business, and multiple occasions this reboot, interrupted my zoom session (this is not professionals), it does not reflect well on my Company. Please advise why this is becoming an issue.

Not sure if this is the place, or if there’s any place, to ask about a Arris manufactured set-top box for Motorola that’s now discontinued by Arris, but being distributed as the latest by Spectrum, at least in Montana. My question is, Can the color of the Front Panel display text (channel number) be changed from its relatively bright white to something else? Thanks,

Is there command line access on the Arris BGW210?

I am having problem setting the uint up for use for internet  I did do  manually set up but it didnt work still getting connection needed message

So this router was purchased only a year ago, now its consistent problems. All of a sudden within the past week it kicks off every device on the network, then restarts, then kicks everything off every 15-30 minutes. Theres only about 7 devices. The device will not show me any logs regarding why it's doing this.  I restarted the router wiping previous settings and set it up again. This corrected the problems for about 1 day. It started happening again, I reset it again, this time it hasnt corrected the issue. What's upsetting is I see arris doesnt support this router/modem. Personally I think if you arent going to support something or plan to discontinue support for a device within a year it shouldnt be sold.  

reference: ARRIS SURFboard T25 DOCSIS 3.1 Gigabit Cable Modem bought from AmazonXfinity has not fixed or identified any issue on their end.  I’ve spent two 3 hour sessions with their support computers, techs, and elevated support.  Xfinity support confirms we have the latest firmware, and have reset the modem many times as have I.  I’ve tried several phone systems that perform on other systems as they should. (panasonic and Vtech).  I’m reaching out to see if this is an issue with the T25  itself, as I have really run out of things to try.   Any help, direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I want to change the name of my network, and also change the password. How do I access the wifi setting for my surfboard?

As shown in an earlier post, when using Chrome, the Event Log is unavailable. A mod had posted that using a different browser or Incognito mode might help, and that indicated that Arris was aware of the problem. The mod asked for feedback, but the post was closed to comments.Kind of difficult to give feedback if you shut off commenting, isn’t it?I was using Chrome to access, got the same results as the original poster. I switched to MS Edge, and after okaying, gained access, and noted that the Event Log indeed was visible in Edge.The Event Log had been accessible recently, so this problem has only began lately. It would be appropriate for Arris to formally acknowledge it, and take steps to rectify it. Not, ignore it.It is tiresome to, again and again, take “work-arounds” for devices and products sold for hundreds of dollars. Do better.

Does the Arris NVG468 support bridge mode. If so, how do I enable it. I can’t find it in my settings. Thank you. 

Need help.  My tm1602 stopped working after 4 months.

Hi,Purchased this device in March of 2023 and It recently failed.  We unplugged, tried different power strips and outlets, etc etc etc.  Finally our ISP Xfinity came to investigate and confirmed that the device was not functional.  We are looking for a replacement or refund.  Please Help!Thanks so muchHilary

I have a new G34 and love it. However, it is on one end of the house and the signal strength is weak at the far end of the house. There is a Cat 7 ethernet cable running from the new G34 to the far end of the house, so is it possible to install a second G34 using the ethernet cable and create a Mesh network of sorts, to enable using the same WiFi SSID and seamless handoff? If so, what settings would be used on the host G34 and the satellite G34? Other suggestions?
