Astound  can't  connect  to  Ariis G36

I need to quickly update the security settings on my unit but don’t know how to do it ?

Can anyone do me a solid and provide a step by step on aquiring and installing new firmware? My research hasn’t really done me any good. thanks in advance!

My SB8200 does get Internet and is working but my Google nest router doesn't seem to get anything from it so I can't learn in my nest router 

If I install new sb8200 cable modem, who changes the login password to modem when done?does the cable company do that or do i changed it from default? 

I set port forwarding up on my G36 and when I hit save, it goes back and shows it was created but everything is 0.I edit it and sure enough, everything is 0. It doesn’t appear to be saving. I deleted the record and tried it again and got the same result.I’m trying to forward 5001 external and internal ports.  

Just bought a G36 and now I cannot view my live camera feeds from my other house.  I can view the feeds fine from my neighbors modem, from the library modem or from my mobile network, but something is clearly blocking the feed when I try my new G36 modem.  Any idea what setting I would need to change to fix this?

I have a few Smart Bulbs and Outlets.  I just bought an Arris SBG8300 Modem/Router and I can not get any of them to connect.  What do I need to do to get them connected?  Tanks for your Help!Terry B.

We turned off WIfi or put in bridged mode to set up Eero mesh network and it isn’t working need to turn it back on. Can this be done

I bought an Arris SBG8300 a couple/few years ago so I wouldn’t have to lease a device from the cable internet providers. It’s been fine up until needing to use the port forwarding feature. I followed the manual and online instructions but either the port forwarding page never loads at all (is greyed out with a spinning wheel of doom forever -this happens on multiple PCs, hardwired and wireless, and I’ve tried five different current browsers: Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera), or it loads but not completely (the option to select a device never appears and there’s no save button (got this in IE11). I’ve tried http and https. I’ve disabled UPnP. I made sure a bunch of other settings I don’t use are disabled (DMZ, port triggering, etc).  there were a couple other similar posts on here and the answer was to try the Surfboard Central app, and I didn’t even know there were apps for this. I have always controlled my routers and modems and network devices via local computer. I installed

the SVG2483AC unit is not working. lights flashing but no internet. I have an extended warranty I  checked my warranty status and wouldn’t you know it. it doesn't recognize my serial number. only had the unit a 3 months. so basically not a happy shopper here. need some company help on a replacement unit. 

Are there any other G54 owners with Apple 6e devices that can’t detect the 6ghz network? My iPhone 15 pro max and my M2 iPad Pro can see and connect to the 2.4 and both 5ghz networks just fine but the 6 remains elusive. I’ve tried Apple’s suggestion to have all of the bands under one name but that doesn’t work, when I use multiple names I don’t get the “limited compatibilty” notice nor does the disable 6e tab appear anywhere in my WiFi settings. I’ve been trying for several days and I’ve had no success, if I can’t get this to work before the return period expires then I’m returning it.

This has been a very frustrating experience. For several months I’ve had slow internet speeds and I’ve called both Arris and Comcast and both companies blame the other. I finally got a comcast tech to come out and he says that there is nothing wrong with the signal coming into my home. So now I am back to looking for support from Arris. This modem is less than 1 year old. I pay for 1.2 gigabits but I consistently less than 400. Comcast assures me the issue is related to my modem. I would appreciate any help in resolving the issue. From what I’ve been able to figure out, the Arris S33 is compatible with Xfinity up to 2gbs. Is my device faulty?  

I have done everything that has been suggested in these comments and the Arris Surfboard app will still  not accept my login username and password

I setup my modem using the app, and it worked fine.  The problem is I need to change the bridge mode on the modem, and when I logged in on my computer to the modem, it asks for my e-mail and password.  It says to use the e-mail and password that I use to login to the app.The problem is that the app only asks for e-mail address.  For some reasons, there is no password field.  I even logged out on the app, and then re-logged back in without supplying any password.The question is:  How do I retrieve my password (if any) that is needed to login to the app? Thank you

I'm having the same, issues as everyone else. 5ghz antenna vanishing, constantly rebooting to fix, etc...and about the last thing I can try is enable bridge mode and have a sidecar nighthawk do it's thing. My hope is the glitch is in the routing portion of the gateway since it's technically online when the G34 craps out.. It's connected to the xfinity network, but not broadcasting..so maybe get it as close to a modem as possible and see if it's better just pushing a public ip without all the routing magic

will G34 connect to Netgear model EX6100 extender?  I tied but can’t get th to connect

How come the chat feature never works for customer support? How come I can’t call customer support? My app doesn’t work.  I don’t remember my login and there is no reset. This is an obnoxious company.

I am using my G34 router with Xfinity Comcast and my 5GHz network will periodically disappear. This has happened consistently since I purchased the router in June. It used to happen about once a day, but has recently been accelerating - I now need to reset the router every 4-5 hours. I originally resolved the problem by utilizing an outlet timer to manually cycle the power to the device once a day, resetting the channel. Given the frequency, however, this is no longer sufficient.What is a long term solution to ensuring resilient 5GHz access?

Since purchasing the SBG7600AC2 modem I have not thought about updating the modems firmware to the latest version. Where do I find the latest version and how do I install it. I currently have the 7600 in bridged mode and connected to my Unifi system here at home.Thanks,ElectronicsNut

I am currently using a 3 yr old SB6190 modem with AC1300 Linksys mesh routers(3).  Over the last 8 months, I’ve been experiencing intermittent internet loss lasting from 15 sec to 5 minutes.  These occurrences are most notable when streaming music through SONOS or viewing videos on YouTube, and also while on the internet using my iPhone. The modem is DOCSIS 3.0.  I talked to xFinity and all is good on their end(according to them).  After investigating, I understand that the problem MAY lie in the fact that xFinity has switched to DOCSIS 3.1.  Would the switch cause constant internet interruptions?   I’m trying to understand whether it’s the modem or the routers that are causing these issues.

I was trying to save $15 rental fee and was given used Arris SB8200 surfboard. VYVE activated it on their end but they said arris had to give me the information to get it working? There is no # to call. All I can do is write on this forum. Can someone help?

I have an HP-Color-LaserJet-CM1312-MFP printer that I am trying to connect via an ethernet connection to a  SBG7400AC2 gateway.  The printer installation program cannot see the printer.  When it was connected to my previous Xfinity gateway I had to set up a static IP address for the printer before it could be recognized.  I think I need to do that again But am not sure how to do that with SBG7400AC2 gateway or if I can add the printer to the network another way..  I have two Lenovo laptops that connect to the network either wirelessly or by ethernet when in their docking stations and need to connect to the Printer. .  

My friend recommended me to you guys but i don’t know how to start service with you guys
