I am using an external Linear power supply for my surfboard, 8200 modem. Is the diameter of the pin in the power inlet 2.1 or 2.5? Thank you

How do I speak with a Arris Surfboard technical person for help

I can only get 1 out of 8 ports to get internet from a TP-Link 8 port gigabit switch to work. It’s hooked directly into the Arris SBV 3202 Modem. I’ve checked lines, jacks, connectors and all. Nothing works. The switch was working fine with the Arris TG1682G modem. Can anyone help?

I currently have an SBG6580 that has to be rebooted every week or so to reconnect to wifi. Comcast says this model is outdated, so I bought a lightly used G36 on eBay.I connected the G36 today. It lit up with a solid blue light I but could not get the wifi or Ethernet working. Comcast support did whatever they do on their end and said their system did not recognize this modem.They’ll send out a technician to set it up for a fee (probably).I was using my cell phone data for search and setup. arrris.com/selfhelp is a circular reference leading to this community, hardly what I call self-help. I am unable to connect to the modem GUI on my cell phone. I was unable to find the manual for the G36 on the Arris Web site. I was unable to find out where to register the G36.  Arris support phone claims to be open 24/7 but it’s closed on weekends.What do I have to do to get this G36 online, before I have to pay a Comcast technician?PS Very dismaying to see so many complaints of the G36 dropping Com

I just switched to this new Arris Modem and can’t get my Samsung TV to be recognized For Internet access. It’s connected to the network, but not the Internet.

Hello. My network says hidden and I can’t figure out how to unhide it. When I go to the Arris login and apply it has a checked box that says broadcast SSID and it is already selected yet still says it’s hidden. Is there something else I need to do? Thanks!

The 2.4 network is not working on my new AC2350 wifi 5 router/modem.Network occasionally appears but can’t connect to it. Frustrating because some of my devices can only connect on 2.4 and there is no reliable connection. Need to return it?

I current rent an Arris TG2472G from WoW for my internet/cable/phone service.  I want to buy my own equipment and want to know what is the most current and best hardware to replace my TG2472G and get better features and performance?  Please advise. 

Spent many hours on line/ on phone with Optimum trying to get a T25 xFinity working.Can anyone provide me with the correct reference/ firmware etc…..to I can get the Optimum (NY)tech team updated ?     From other posts it seems this should work. Modem gets “Activated” by Optimum, goes through 3 cycles of reset (updates).At that point the LED indicates it is ON LINE…..however no connection is made to my computer or router.T25  Model #  613587-003-00  ( has a HFC MAC & MTA MAC #s, no CMAC like the old modem)All help and advice, appreciated.  

can't update password even though it meets criteria, just says bad password.

My sons Xbox shows up as one of the connected devices list in the app, but when I go into “My experiences” and I created a profile for him, then click his profile and “Add Device” the Xbox doesn’t show up as a device I can add to his profile- even though he is playing it right now - so it is actively online. Just not showing up. Every other device that is online shows up on the list I can choose from to add to his profile - just not the Xbox.Thank you,tara

I messaged Xfinity and I get the same issue.. nothing's wrong with Internet.. ok then why am I getting only 400mbps.. I pay for 1.2 and I'm not even getting 500.. for all that I should just pay for what I am getting.. anyone no how to help me fix my problem

Let me start by saying that I have purchased a new SB8200, had a tech replace the coax in the wall and he also provided me with a new cable. My modem signal levels, and I forget the exact values he specifically mentioned, are in the dead center of the allowed ranges. “Perfect” is how he described them (for what that's worth) because they could fluctuate and still be within the desired range.I did not have any issues with packet loss until I purchased 3.1 modems. I also own a g36 and experience the same phenomenon of 1-4% packet loss out at rather constant rate. I do not game with a router and I unplugged directly into the modem itself. I have tried different ethernet cords. I have also used the hidden troubleshoot menu on my series x and completely factory reset it… twice.I recently read a thread that someone else with a 3.1 modem was experiencing packet loss out as well. My very loose “theory" is that AQM, active Queue Management, is dropping packets in order to ensure ping times don'

We currently cannot get internet in our bedroom upstairs and would like to get an internet extender.  Can anyone recommend an extender that is compatible with the Arris SBG7600AC2?  It seems Arris doesn’t have extenders so we need to know which ones are compatible with what we have.

Xfinity did an update to their system.  The phone does not work now.  Xfinity says it is not their problem.  The internet works just fine.

Hi all,I have a SBG8300 for the past year now.lately my internet will drop or not work at all & comes I we time. I’ve had about 6 technicians at my residence come here for the last 5 weeks & they can’t seem to find the problem. I have optimum internet.has any one else had issues like me and/or have you had any experience with this modem & maybe suggest an alternative cable modem I only have the internet plan through optimum

Only green power light. Factory reset does nothing. No flashing lights. No reboot. Nothing. Plugged in for several minutes. New modem. Lights were working. Did a factory reset. Now nothing but "I'm plugged in".

For my xfinity service, I got my new G36 and began the signup process. I got to the part where I was supposed to contact xfinity, which I did. After a long time working on it, the tech got me set up. Meanwhile, I guess the Arris app had timed out. It seems to only give me the option of a re-install, like after a factory reset, But I don’t want to do that, because I don’t want to go through the painful activation process with Xfinity again. So what’s the best, most efficient thing I can do, to complete my setup? 

My internet is not working. Xfinity tried to help reboot but not successful. They said the problem may be the modem and I need to contact them but there is no phone number anywhere?? 

I have talked to Cox Tech support twice, they did everything on their end to setup the SB8200.They sent rests to the modem 5 separate times and I unplugged it everytime, the modem does not respond. All the lights go green and only one eventually turns solid blue….absolutley nothing else happens after at least 1.5 hourse on the phone with Cox Tech support.I need this unit replaced.

We as a company have been using the CM820B Cable modem. (240 volt internal PSU)We now want to purchase 100 * CM3200B Devices. 12 volt  external PSU.Cannot find specs for the DC power connector.We need  a “Brick” type PSU 12 volt @ 2 Amp - 2.1 * 5. 5 mm connector does not fit (5.5 to big)Measured supplied PSU  connector @ 1.1 * 5.1mm.Anyone know a “brick” PSU that will work or can confirm the actual size of the connector on the CM3200B
