Hi I have a Arris G34 the light is orange and it's like they aren't any internet coming into my house. None of my devices will pick the modem up. I have tried unplugging and a 30-30-30 rest nothing works. I bought this back in May of 2023 what is wrong with my modem? Plz help!

Is there an actual User Manual for the G36 modem? If so, can someone provice a link to it?

Apparently Arris sent out a firmware update on November 1st 2023.  M ISP is Xfinity, and since this is my OWN gateway, Xfinity does not/cannot update the firmware.  It has to come directly from Arris.Since this “update”, I can no longer forward ports to enable access from outside my network.I did a RESET of the G34, but it doesn’t help.Below are the software versions BEFORE 11/01/2023 and AFTER 11/01/2023BEFORE 11/01/2023AFTER 11/01/2023RESETTING the G34 did not go back to the original version for some reason.Is there a way to get back to the WORKING version?Or is there a way to make the NEW version work correctly? Here is Port Forwarding BEFORE 11/01/2023 and AFTER 11/01/2023WORKINGNOT WORKINGIs there a solution for this?

I have a T25 on Xfinity.I tried to logon to the modem at 192.168.100.1 and username “admin” password of “password” returns invalid credentials.I don’t remember changing it, but I probably did at some point.How do I reset the device to default username and password? I’m sure I’ll have to re-register it with Comcast/Xfinity for it to work again, but that’s no big deal.I need to get information off of it, and see if maybe there’s a firmware update available, etc.

My ARRIS SBG 10 won’t connect.I connected the SBG 10 to the cable coming in from Xfinity, connected it to my PC via a network cable and connected the power. The lights blinked and then stayed on. I downloaded the app onto my phone. The phone “connected” to the ARRIS 2611 network, but without internet access. The same was true for the ARRIS-2611-5G network.When I reconnected my old modem and router, my internet worked again.Does Xfinity have to do something for me to be able to use this unit? Is CommScope now the parent company and maker of the Arris Modems? 

After my G34 dropped the SSID for the 5G I had to reset it. It now will not allow me to change the password, so I had to change it on my computers.When I connect to the network now my Bitdefender alerts me that it is an unsafe network. I’m using the recommended WPA2/WPA3 security on the router.

I called the number and it said they were closed,  it's not midnight!!!   Sunday through Saturday business hours?  JUST DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK!!!! Anyway, so the setup app doesn't work because I have a newer version of android, so I typed in modem IP and that doesn't work on either of my android phones..  so now what?  Xfinity has been no help either, but at least they are actually open.

Does the sb8200 support a vpn

I have Spectrum with their modem and separate router. I learned that if their service goes down my LAN does not function. Is that true with the G36? Also one poster said his download speed decreased significantly compared to the Spectrum modem.

today ive noticed all my light on the modem were green. took me asking on facebook to find out that mean i am using docsis3.0 not 3.1. ive tried everything i could think of as a troubleshoot. finally i logged in to the interface and saw that there was a failed update in the logs. I think that might be causing the issue. i get it as a modem you cant manually update it as you could a router. is there anyway to fix it or do i really have to buy a new one?

Sb8200 incoming light weak and not Blue. Outgoing solid blue. Internet gets dropped for brief periods. Are these issues related? Does modem need to be replaced ?

Hello - I recently replaced my Comcast gateway with an Arris G36 modem/router, as recommended by various people. I was able to hook it up and establish connectivity to all of the home devices. The G36 doesn’t seem to have the same reach as the Comcast equipment, but in effort to save some money on my monthly bills, I was willing to see it this move will be effective.The only real problem I have relates to the signal not reaching my detached garage/workshop (~30 yards from my house). In addition to the convenience of having a WiFi signal in this space, my garage doors are connected (via WiFi) to the “MyQ” interface, allowing me to open and close the doors, access diagnostics, etc. The G36 simply does not reach the receiver/s.So, I performed some research. I should say that I’m no longer a tech-savvy guy… the world of technology has proven to be much too fast for me these days! How do I log on to my account to upgrade security on my Surfboard 8200 modem?

I’ve had the arris sbg 8300 modem router for about a month. Lost internet connection a few days ago and after connecting again, I only have access to YouTube and google on my laptops and have not internet access at all on my phone. (Phone shows it’s connected but can’t access a variety of websites). My 10 year old tablet has no connection issues.  I have done a hard reset, defaulted to factory settings, and unplugged/plugged the modem.  What else can I do? 

I did a factory reset on my SBG00DAE36 & it is asking for me to set up a temporary Wi-Fi network. I scanned the QR code on the bottom of the device & it filled the SSID & the WiFi security key that is listed on the label. I click Submit & am told that WiFi is not enabled.  I have tried going to 192.168.0.1 on a PC connected to the modem & just get 'No Internet'.  I have verified through the Xfinity app that the modem is online per them.  At my wits end what to do.

I am trying to log into the admin page 10.0.0.1 and nothing is working.  Our modem is not talking to the router. I think my husband reset or it got disconnected but trying  to see what the problem is. Side note...having to pay for help is ridiculous when you purchase this product... I'm very frustrated 

I have the Arris TG6452, & it was strange that I also had issues after Nov 1st 2023, but I was getting "operation failed" when setting up devices I wanted to block from wifi during specific hours at night. Then, later when I wanted to delete them, I got error message.  So, only thing I could do was to change the time to a couple minutes.  So, I'm guessing it was the firmware update that screwed things up. My ISP (CasCable) in WV had no clue, and I got no help.  I hate to think I must do a factory reset!  I rebooted it several times and also unplugged trying that with no luck. I set up parental controls to block websites, and search terms. So, now I'm afraid if I block a site that later I want to remove, it might not allow, & go to error. Or, even a device. I'm a novice at it. When I access the reports, I'm not sure how accurate they are.  Plus, timestamps don't seem accurate. Trying to block porn sites, I think it helps some. PS. What do I need with a 3.1 surfboard to connect to a TV?

New install, setup modem, change MAC with IP (WOW) and can connect through the modem via Ethernet.When setting up Google WiFi an error occurs.  "The modem isn't giving your Wifi point an internet connection." I follow the instructions, unplug everything and wait and receive the same error.I have fully factory reset the router, nuked my Google home, uninstalled the app and received the same error.Contacted IP, they claim all is well on their end.Reset system to provided gateway, nuke Google home again and it works. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
