Last night some of our devices were disconnected from the internet. This morning only my laptop could connect. Restarted router and modem twice each. After restarting, nothing can connect. Xfinity had verified that everything is fine on their end. Network name won’t even show up as an option on any of our devices. 

I bought the two towers mesh. But one is not working beyond the bluetooth. Is failing during internet connection step.  I reset it many times and still not working. May I return it to ARRIS? I bought them through this website since I am in Argentina and they do not accept them beyond the two weeks. 

Is there an answer to a printer (Brother HL-2350DW)  that must be 2.4  and my new Arris SBG 10 router that is dual 2.4 and 5.0 (nota mesh network)?  Take the Arris back and pay rent on the Spectrum?  

Internet is still not working

For seemingly no reason my SB8200’s DS light started flashing. There are no reported outages in my area, no cables have been moved, shifted or otherwise touched. I spoke with my ISP and they advised that my modem was not able to be detected. Any suggestions ?

I just bought this sbg8300 and replaced my cox panoramic modem. I bumped my speed to 500 mps. I canceled all my cable boxes and now do all streaming. I use 7 firesticks for streaming.  Normally no more than two at one time. Every 3-4 days the screen freezes up and the internet connection drops. Unplugging the modem for 60 seconds and restarting again connects everything again. I had no such problem with the cox panoramic modem. But cox was charging me 14 bucks a month to rent it. I don't do gaming at all. When I reset the modem I check to see if its hot but it doesn't feel like it. I do have TPlink deco attached to one port to extend the signal throughout my house. But that doesn't seem related.  I really want get this fixed so I don't have to keep resetting the modem to cox.  

The hard reset username and password - Admin and password - isn’t working. I’ve tried uppercase, lowercase, etc. I’ve also tried one and the other blank. How can I log in? 

I went to upgrade my modem and bought a brand new Arris Surfbord DOCSIS SB 6190 to replace my old modem only to discover when I got home that I had bought the exact one again-same exact product with same model number. I know this is a dumb question but am I to assume that because what I just bought at Walmart is new that it’s components inside WILL in fact be an upgrade since it’s a new one? I mean when you replace a modem you want the latest technology and components. 

I have been having problems with Xfinity service?  I was finding that I would lose all internet connection for 24-36 hours at a time. Ihad Xfinity out and they stated my service was fine and eventually told my my modem was obsolete. I purchased a S33 at that time and all was good. Now three times in the last week I have lost access. It is both WIFI and my hard wired computer. I have attempted to restart the S33 and my router and this does not work. I switch to my hotspot and do what I need to do. I will come home from work and presto wifi is working again without me doing anything. While on support with Xfinity I bypassed my router and plugged my computer directly into the router with no success. They are telling me it is my hardware (router) since they can see it and state it is online. Thoughts?

Is says SB6183 on the modem, just curious to as why this would be.

Moden is less than 2 months old, I had no problems until a few days ago and now just looking at my event log there's more than 150 (Yes, 150) disconnects since the 10th of november, 50 reboots daily. On the 12th it went from 5am-7pm without reboots according to my log (I didn't do anything) and then it went back to rebooting. Already checked the coax cable, manually rebooted the modem, reset the modem, changed power outlets (router on the same power strip doesn't reboot either) and I also left it on without the coax cable and it still rebooted after 30 minutes (I don't know if that's on purpose). I can see the LED change from solid blue -> solid orange -> blinking green -> solid blue over and over again every few minutes (haven't had a solid hour today without rebooting). i cannot log into the modem online. I have hard reset multiple times and the default username and password are not working

Is the S33 a modem/router combo or just modem? I’m not talking about WiFi, I just need to be able to physically connect multiple devices to the LAN interface using a switch and want to make sure it hands out DHCP IP addresses. From what I’ve found the default IP is 192.168.100.1 so it does do some routing but want to make sure I can connect multiple devices on the inside. 

Dear ladies and gentlemens,I please send me further instructions of how I can get a replacement for my current G34 modem.Background:I’ve recently called a Xfinity service engineer to figure out why my connections always slows down over  the day and finally ends up in an intermittent internet connection. This happened at least once every 24hrs. An investigation by your service team (case number 2308-02902) has already been done on this.The Xfinity service engineer changed the modem to the standard Xfinity modem and suddenly everything works fine.I assume that the Modem has a defect where the cache is not cleaned correctly. It is definitely not the connection to my apartment, because this has been checked several times and is now working fine.PS: the recent upgrade of the firmware made everything worse. Don’t know if it overwrites parts of the cache used for other things before, but it took me about an hour till the connection got established again (but with the same behavior as before).

I’m unable to access the ‘Operation’ tab at the top of my Web Manager interface. It changes my address to 192.168.100.10:8080 when clicking it. It claims that the default username is ‘admin’, gives no password and accepts no known passwords. I’ve tried leaving the field blank, ‘password’, ‘Password’, ‘admin’, ‘Admin’ and the password I set to log into 192.168.0.1 itself and none of these work either. I know this worked when I first bought the surfboard a few years ago, not sure how to access this again.

I created the following topic about a month ago: Arris responded to check the downstream and upstream values and that if these were out of the recommended range we would have to contact our ISP. I followed the instructions in the article they shared and the values are all within the range they list. Our internet connection now drops multiple times per day nearly every 20 minutes now. I couldn’t respond to the message on my previous post because it was marked as resolved, but if anything the issue has gotten even worse. 

Hello,I recently had to reinstall the App, and it now wants me to activate and set up my ARRIS G36 modem-router and ARRIS Mesh W121.  This is all set up and operating fine, but the App is stuck on activating new equipment.  Does anyone know how to bypass this on App so I can see my network operations?Any recommendations would be great. Sincerely, 

SBG8300 first time activated with provider, no internet access. Sevice rep came to house checked all and says his part is all good. Still no internet. Why?

I just received a warning from Apple on my Iphone about my  security, advising to use WPA 3 security  on my modem and take some other steps.  Before I did anything I wanted to be certain my cable  modem was still viable and a search got me to this group.  I didn’t know about this group or the firmware upgrade issue previously.  Unfortunately, I can’t check that my  SVG2482AC’s firmware is upgraded since there’s some glitch in the password - the admin/Password combo worked once to get me in but when I updated the password, the new and the old passwords both return error messages.  My next step is resetting the modem if I can’t get past the logon problem. It sounds like it’s still worth the effort and I appreciate the work it took getting Comcast to do what they agreed to do.   Comments appreciated. 

I can not connect to the Internet. It says no Internet

Keeps dropping internet

I can’t get my ring doorbell to work with my Arris SBG8300. It won’t connect at all to the network. I have tried to edit any of my router settings that seem like they might make a difference all to no avail. If anyone has a clue on how to resolve, would be much appreciated. 

Can’t find the latest firmware version for my SurfBoard SB8200, which is in boot loop. Arris official support website for this product is empty, no links.
