I wanted to inquire on the status of the certification process for the Arris S33 Modem for Xfinity’s Gigabit x2 plan which is 2000 mbps down and 200 mbps up. Currently the S33 Modem isn’t approved for Xfinity’s “next gen” speed tier aka Gigabit x2. Where does this currently stand? I recently bought a G54 Docsis 3.1.  When I navigate to Parental controls >  Managed Sites > Block Sites. I follow the process to add a blocked site, and enable parent controls and *NOTHING* happens.  The site doesn’t ‘save’ and doesn’t appear in a list of blocked sites.  It does absolutely nothing. This is a basic feature that should work - why doesn’t it? 

I just replaced my Xfinity modem with an Arris S33(v2). While I’m getting about 720Mbps down I only get 5Mbps up.  I’m paying for 1000/200 service.So far it’s taken Comcast 3 tries to get the modem provisioned and they seem to be stumped as to what’s going on.The device log (which BTW isn’t sorted by date/time) contains the following after a restart (I added line breaks for readability):17/11/2023 14:59:11 3 CMSTATUS:US_Diplexer_Mode_Change:TLV-84.1, 5-42MHz.17/11/2023 14:59:17 6 DS profile assignment change. Greetings! Our HVAC Smart Thermostat requires a “2.4 & 5 GHz, EERO, 2-address” router. Service Electric recommends “Docsis 3.1.” The HVAC tech says it must provide the two frequencies on separate addresses. I’m not able to sort through all the models to find the right one. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Xfinity 1200Mbps /  35 Mbps Arris S33 Wired on 2.5Gbps Port - connected to a new Gaming Laptop with a 2.5Gbps port using a new Cat6 - speed test range from 500Mbps / 40Mbps to often only 300Mbps / 40Mbps. Xfinity came out and can’t figure it out. When they connect their own equipment to the coax direct their test show it’s a perfect connection and all signals and power levels are in perfect range…. Very frustrated, this is my second modem, my older one was working until it all of the sudden was no longer compatible with my plan (?) online support was also no help - I have spent hours trying to figure this out

I really, really want to change my network name and password. Where do I do this? Specifically.

I’m trying to set up an Arris surf  S33 V2 modem and it asks to select your internet provider. I have TDS for my provider but it not one of the providers listed.  Does this mean the S33 V2 isn’t compatible and if it isn’t what modem would work - Thanks 

I bought this modem yesterday and all lights were on.  Today, I only have the 2nd blue light on (which tells me that I’m receiving ok) but NO other lights are on.  I’ve rebooted, but it stays the same.I have a nest router attached that works fine. I also attach a switch from the nest, with a cable to my TV - which also works fine and has wired internet access.where did my lights go??? Thanks / Dan

I have RCN internet and a few times a day my internet is dropping out for about a minute or two.  When it’s working everything is fine (no speed issues or anything).  It’s the random drops that are the problem.At a glance it looks like my upstream power levels are low and I’m getting some errors in the system log that I don’t fully understand (Commanded Power in Excess of 6 dB Below….). RCN’s merlin page also shows micro reflections as red and yellow with values of -17.101 DB (red), -19.522 DB (yellow), -17.845 DB (red).     

I just started my XFinity service and I purchased an SBG8300 for both my modem and router. I am not able to connect to any websites besides google, youtube, instagram etc. I realized that I am only able to connect to websites with IPv6. When I log into my modem, I see that the WAN IPv4 is 0.0.0.0 and the WAN IPv6 is something. I believe I am not receiving an IPv4 and so I cannot use many websites. If I check using whatismyip, I don’t get any result for IPv4, but I do for IPv6. If I use the command prompt to ping google, it works using ping -6 but not using ping-4.Is there anything on the modem end that could be done to further troubleshoot or is this an issue with my ISP?

Have G34 surfboard. Xfinity internet. Stream YouTube TV. When we got everything up and running it was great. Now the last month we are constantly losing internet.  Often just restarting the g34 fixes it. So how do I tell if it's the g34 or Xfinity who has the problem? 

I cannot get past the Captcha part of the SURFboard app. It is giving the message that I am not putting in the correct characters. I tried multiple times and even had someone assist me to make sure we agreed on the letters/numbers we are seeing. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix?

I have an SGB8300…I believe it is a modem & router?  I wanted to see if I could connect a mesh network to it in order to extend my Wi-Fi into dead zone or poor signal zones of my home. Is this possible? 

Can’t connect to server, error 0000-1506.There doesn’t seem to be any way to retry other than deleting and re-adding the device, which I’ve done 3 times with the same result. Suggestions?

I have a new G34.  I changed the network name, but when I try to change the password, the app thinks for a while and then goes back to the original password.  Am I doing something incorrectly?  Thanks.

I need the input/output voltage, output current, polarity and plug size or a part number of anyone can assist me with finding an AC adapter for SB8200 Arris modem. I went to hook mine up a yr later and cannot find it.

I use Magicjack with this modem/router and have for many years with no problems.  Within the last month, the call quality has gone down.  I have replaced all phones, cables, jacks, etc. with no success.  Magicjack tech support says it may be the following router/modem settings:Need to open up the UDP ports 5060 thru 5070 and must disable the SIP ALG.Tried to have Spectrum do these tasks, but I own the modem/router outright and they can’t/won’t address the unit because I own it. Can you assist with these issues??

I am activating a new modem. The app tells me to enter the CM MAC ID. There is a MTA MAC ID or a HFC MAC ID which are different. Which MAC ID am I to enter?

Will not connect to network.  Orange flashing light.  Intermittent port fails preceding total failure.

I have service with Optimum. The provided modem from Optimum is connected via coaxial. It is providing wifi to more than 25+ devices. I have this SBG6950AC2 modem/router and want to know if I can use this device to connect to the existing network via ethernet and coaxial and use the device to connect some of the devices to this router. Essentially using this router as a wifi extender. Not have to connect it to the provider service. Just allow devices that are more than 75 feet away from the modem to connect to the router.

I cannot find the admin and password name

I unplugged the modem & router & internet cable and moved it all to a different location in the house.But the internet plug in the wall must not be hooked up, so I moved it all back to where it all wasbefore.   Does the modem need to be reset ?

Comcast Infiniti has come out to my home and verified that my G 36 is not functional I have verified that it has a warranty that expires in May 2024.  how do I get a replacement or a refund?
