Wi-Fi Modems

I want to know should it show I have many many ports open  some going to phone numbers not mine? I don’t understand this stuff. I believe someone is using my Wi-Fi and my cell phone account somehow using lot of data can anyone help me?

I have Xfinity internet in PA and tonight at the same time, everything lost connection to the internet. My devices could still connect to the modem, but could not access internet. It has been raining, so I figured there must have been an xfinity outage. After reaching out, (and of course restarting the modem multiple times) they confirmed that there were no issues on their end and they were able to send “refresh signals” to my modem, but it still could not access internet. I upgraded about a year and a half ago and I still had my SBG10 laying around. So, while talking to xfinity customer support, I was able to activate that modem and sure enough, that one works fine. No issues.  I have had no issues with the SBG8300 in almost a year and a half until today. What could be the problem here??

Modem rebooted the other day due to signal from WOW cable. Have 600mb download on wired, wifi averaging about 10mb. Wasn’t like that before the reboot. Also now can’t go further than 10’ away before signal drops. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Thoughts?.

Videos were beginning to buffer a lot and frequently visited websites were downloading slower and slower. Reps at Cox told me that my Arris DG2460 modem was outdated and that I should get a new modem.Based on several recommendations, I bought the Arris Surfboard G34 and set it up this morning. It’s a Cox approved modem compatible with their system/equipment.When I’m using a modem I’m nearly always on my Dell Optiplex 7020 desktop. I connect it to my Arris modem on Wifi. My wife uses an iPad (also Wifi). Occasionally, I’ll check the appearance of a website on my Android phone. Additionally, we stream video and TV through our Roku device.So, we use 4 different devices with the modem, but never simultaneously. I recently got the arris surfboard G34 WiFi cable modem. I have xfinity as my internet provider. I hooked everything up and was connected to internet and WiFi but was getting a very weak connection (about 8 mbps). So I unplugged and restarted the modem. Now it’s showing it is getting about 115 mbps but won’t connect or give WiFi. The modem just keeps blinking blue and green. Won’t go solid and connect like before. I did a reset as well and still won’t connect. I did a troubleshoot with xfinity but they want to send someone out because it’s not working but because it isn’t their device, if the arris device is faulty I will be charged. I’m not sure what to do to troubleshoot on my end or if my new modem is faulty. But it connected before so I’m unsure.

cannot update “password” password on 7600 even though it meets criteria. When I try again, it tells me that the old password “password” is not correct.  

I just got the G36 wifi modem and am trying to connect everything.  My laptop used to recognize the 5 GHz wifi but every time I open up my laptop I have to reconnect and it no longer shows this option so not sure what to do!  My printer only recognizes the 2.4 GHz or guest but does that mean anything on the 5GHz can’t print from this air printer?  I’m sorry if these are dumb questions but my phone and tablet no longer find the printer and they are on the 5 GHz!  Appreciate any info!  This has been quite frustrating!

My SBG7600 appears to lose its connection with the internet while downloading software updates or when trying to connect to a remote server. This is happening while on wi-fi or on a cabled connection. When the update is downloading the transfer rate might be 108 Mgb per second and slowly drops until the connection is lost. I might not have a connection for 2 to 3 minutes, and then the connection is re-established and repeats after maybe 5 minutes. Can someone help me with this? ThanksJim 

This has been going on for over 3 weeks and I’ve been in contact with Xfinity, company IT, and the VPN support team.My internet cuts out on all devices every few minutes ONLY when connected to the VPN. My internet is stable if I connect with my phone’s hotspot or other wifi network, so it’s definitely an issue with the router. This was not an issue until 3 weeks ago.Everyone is blaming everyone else and they refuse to help me find any of the settings I need to adjust in the admin panel.How can any of this be resolved? What settings can I adjust without messing up everything else? Xfinity support tells me not to change any of the settings because it’s all optimized. I have tried connecting the ethernet cable directly to the computer, but that does nothing. We have updated the VPN software, uninstalled, reinstalled, turned off, reconnected.

My ipv6 constantly attempts to provision DHCPv6. Each attempt displays as a critical failure in the event log (see an extract below). Eventually the modem then drops all connections to DHCP including v4 and no devices can connect to the internet. My ISP says there are no problems on their end and the modem looks good from their side. The error messages in the event log are below. My new G54 WiFi 7 cable modem router is unable to connect above 1Gbps. Cox has listed in their documentation as G54 802.11AX modem and no setting within their system will allow modem to work above 1Gbps. If box/documentation says compatible with Cox, Charter/Spectrum, or Xfinity, is that only compatible at 1Gbps or 2Gbps?

I have a brand new modem router, SBG10 model. No real instructions included about setup. They ask you to download an app of theirs, which confused me. No.No real instructions Connection through the app didn't work for I paid good money for this, and got bad one

I bought a simple range extender. Can I use it without switching to bridge mode? Why can’t I find it in my network? Thanks for any help you can offer.

I ordered modem then it declined because billing address error and I’ve tried disputing with bank but they said no error was made and I don’t have the modem .how long does refund take since the money is gone from account and I ordered from surfboard or was that a scam ? I ordered march 4, it was declined March 5 so is it automatically refunded as it’s out of stock now I can’t even reorder it ?

Is anyone else having a problem with their G34 stuck in a constant reboot?   They had me reboot it because I was having connection issues and now it just keeps restarting over and over again.
