Wi-Fi Modems

I found a post from someone having the same exact problem. The answer didn't help.I had a power problem recently,  and when fixed,  my network was showing 'Motorola' as a network name. I tried connecting my tablets to it and they connected no pronlem. But then I noticed under security it said 'none'. I powered it still the same. Finially, did a hard reset. Got back original name. Got  tablets, and phone online. Then tried to access the web manager. Logged in using admin & Motorola. Took me to 'change password' page I entered admin, and motorola, and new password'Oops! Invalid current user/password'. I've tried motorola,  the wifi key, with and without spaces.I've tried another hard reset. Power reset, and finally, ANOTHER hard reset.I manage to get to the change password page no problem. But no matter what I enter for user name and password, I get 'Oops! Invalid current user/password'Pulling my hair out here.I broke down and order

As with other posts, I am reporting the same now. I’ve had the modem working fine for almost 3 years and suddenly, it stopped working correctly.  As I am technical, I looked at everything and noticed it was no longer receiving a WAN IP, therefore, either the DHCP functionality on the modem is failing or DHCP server at XFinitity is having issues.  Talking to Xfinity support is a waste of time because they are Tier 1 ppl and only run Layer 1 tests.If I reboot it, it sometimes works, sometimes not. When it does work, I may be good for less than 24 hrs before it starts acting up again.I almost feel like this is some sort of scam to get people to rent their modems.Is there any troubleshooting I could do regarding the DHCP issue? Packet captures?

I just bought a new tablet and it won’t sign in to my router. I have checked and checked and I am using the correct password and ssid. Everything else with wifi is working

SBG8300, the 2.4ghz network is not visible to devices. Admin page says it's online. Have rebooted several times without luck. Have not factory reset yet. Any recommendations, ideas?

Hello. I have two printers that keep going offline. I can un & replug them and they are fine except for one that I have to do it a couple of times.  The printer manufacturer said I need to “split the frequencies” (see below for the rest) but told me that Arris is not capable of that.  Is that true?  I am not working so I can’t buy a newer modem nor rent it from my Internet provider.  My Internet provider said since I have my own equipment that I can’t do it. Any help is appreciated!  make sure 2 frequencies of my network are divided   one name for 2.4 network (2G)     one name for the 5g

I checked the warranty of my SBG8300 and it says it is expired. How can that be when it hasn’t been activated yet? When does the warranty period start?

Where do i find my password for this modem?

I'm trying to raise the firewall security level and the captcha codes I enter are not being accepted so that the router will let me save the new settings. It just keeps feeding me new ones. Some are hard some are easy. I’ve tried upper case, lower case, spaces between characters. Nope. I’m probably up to 30+ attempts now.

I just moved into a new home and bought the G34 so I do not have to rent a router from Cox. However, Cox could not fully activate the G34 because my home has fiberoptic, not cable. But is there any way to use the G34 as a router only? 

Is my SBG8300 compatible with Windows 11?

I can’t get it up and running, because when I scan the QR code, it asks to download the Arres app. Once I do that, it asks me to scan the QR code on the device, but it keeps saying it’s invalid. Now I’m trying to set it up manually, but the app is telling me they don’t support this device.This should be much easier, right? 

Hello, what is the maximum upload speed for G34 modem?

I just recently purchased SBG8300 i am connected to the internet on it. However, i cannot get into the modem settings to set the rest up. Neither the mobile app nor the internet page will accept the admin and password defaults. any help would be appreciated!

Surely there is a way to backup the configuration on a G34? I hear from a lot of sources that it cannot be done which makes no sense at all. Am I missing something here? Why in heavens name would Arris not provide this fundamental and necessary function? Are you telling me I have to screenshot/write down every last one of the things you have altered, and keep that around and manually re enter it all if something goes wrong?

I added my devices to the MAC Address Filter List, selected “Whitelist: device must be listed below” and applied. It shuts off all access to the devices. I have tried several times. What am I doing wrong?

I bought the G34 about 1½ months ago but was not installed until moving to my new houseon March 1st. Since then WiFi drops consistently and when dropped I can not evenaccess the modem using a computer attached by Ethernet. I need to exchange this for something that works.

I’m trying to log in to my arris, for the first time and it won’t let me tells me invalid credentials 

it set on 10 hours and 00 minutes. Not sure if its a timer or what it is

Sbg10 showing all green but no internet conneaction, restarted 3 times.

All the Ethernet ports keep going offline (no lights). I power cycle the modem it’s good for a few minutes and the ethernet ports go offline again. How do I open an RMA to get the modem replaced?

Trying to set up g36 but can't get connected to the Internet. Previously I was using a separate modem and router.
