Howcan I open 5G on this Router, to use my security system??I am getting the run around 

I can’t get the TV and SBG10 to connect via WiFi. I get a “wrong password” error message.  The password is correct because I can login to the WiFi Modem through an Internet browser and my phones and PC’s are connected.

I have just moved to a new house and brought my old router with me. My new service provider issued me a router and modem and have it connected downstairs, however upstairs in the loft the signal is very weak. I have another coax cable connection upstairs, how could I use my old router as a second router? 

My username and password was locked and after multiple factory resets and setups the username and password is still locked. The customer support number  doesn’t work either so I’m stuck. I read it’s possible that it could remain locked if I registered my warranty initially. Any assistance would be appreciated.  the new app surfboard central doesn’t help either it won’t connect to my home network and just is stuck there. 

SBG-7580-ACCan I find out the date a wifi mac address was added to the whitelist?   Can I tell when the last time that mac address connected to the router?Also, is there a better way to identify which device is using a mac address other than just the manufacturer that address came from?

I have a SurfBoard AX3000 G36 connected to Cox cable. WiFi is good but only 1mpbs down and 5mbps up. I have had Cox activate and they can see nothing wrong with the cable connection but they are unable to communicate with the AX 3000. Showing solid blue LED after flashing blue and flashing green. But now solid blue and still no speed. Previous modem on the same connection was giving me more than 50mpbs symetrical.

I can’t access the 5g network. I can only access the 2.4g network. How can I fix?

Trying to add an extended wifi to Arris G34.  In this case the extender is a netgear AC1200.  Am totally lost with this venture.

I recently purchased a G34 for my mother, upon installing and working with Xfinity support to activate I noticed many web pages weren’t working unless they resolved to an IPv6 address.  Also ping to an IPv4 address (or hostname that resolves to an IPv4 address) doesn’t work. I checked the Gateway > Connection > WAN tab and found that the modem is only getting an IPv6 address from Comcast and no IPv4 address (just 0.0.0.0 displayed).  I tried working with 5 different support representatives from Comcast and none of them could resolve, they didn’t even know what an IPv4 address was.  The only next step I was offered was them rolling a truck, I explained that IPv6 is working but IPv4 isn’t and they said we can roll a truck.  None of this makes sense as it’s pretty clear that the modem not being issued an IPv4 address is the root cause here and a technician physically looking at the modem isn’t going to make a difference as this is likely a provisioning issue.

I have tried unsuccessfully to connect my HP 8720 printer to my Arris 8300 modem/router. I’ve tried the usual turn off/on router, printer in the various sequences. I can see all of the router connections, but not the main one, which I renamed and re-passworded.  Thanks in advance for your help. 

Can the MTU setting be accessed and modified on Model G36? If yes, where in the menu can the MTU setting be located? Thank you.

So, my question is, can the G34 be connected to Xfinity voice?

Help,Im a Cox Cable user, going from the panoramic V8 (best modem they offer) to the now G54.I would like a solution or other options about the way the Ethernet ports work in the back.,First question: I left the cox modem because when in bridge mode only one port works. Im hoping thats not the case with the G54?2nd question: if in fact, this is the same situation… What do i do now to get my current Google Pro 6e wifi mesh system at speeds faster than just 100-200 MGPS?? I run my fast ethernet port to my 2.5 multiswitch to direct connect 2 laptops and 2 xbox systems. All of which will hit 2-2.3Gigs of speed. Problem now is i have no ports left over from Modem. i even tried using a port from the switch. Neither was a success. I spoke with Google and Cox and couldnt get them both on the same page and were of no help, both said to do opposite things.3rd question: Does Arris modems offer a way to turn off there WIFI only? this way im not running into “d

Why is my devices with lan cable the only devices lagging and when i go to the app it says that device has poor single can pls help.

Hi! I’m having issues connecting to the internet with my SBG8300. After losing power the online LED turns on but the WiFi LED will not turn on. I’ve power cycled multiple times. Tried plugging into a power strip and directly to the wall. I’ve tried to factory reset but cannot connect via the web interface. I tried to console into the Ethernet port and still the web interface would not work. I have called my provider and they also cannot communicate with my SBG8300. Any other suggestions? 

Mr. Moderator, before you tell me the SBG8300 firmware update is pushed out by the ISP, please be aware I have read the other posts on this issue, I have just got off the phone with Xfinity, and they say it has to come from Arris.  Regardless of who it comes from, please, just inform me and your every loving public what the latest firmware version number might be.  I have 01.02.078.04.NCS.  I saw that in an earlier post, but nobody answered the question.  Maybe it is time for the consumers to know the magic number.  I’m not asking to download it myself, just want to know if I need to push Xfinity for a newer version.I have issues with parental controls giving me “Operation Failed” errors when I try to add, edit, or delete items.  I’m not tech savvy and not sure firmware is the issue. I tried to reset the SBG8300, but it did helped. HelloMy Arris Wi-Fi router is working fine. However, I’d like to use the Ethernet ports on 2 devices for hardwire connections. In the past, I did not have any issues with hardwire but for some reason(s) I cannot get a hardwire connection for my Fire Stick and Max Free Streaming TV box. I did not have this issue before. I’m using an Amazon adapter for the Fire Stick which worked before. But when I check the Fire Stick Network, it shows I’m connected only to my home Wi-Fi and not as a hard-wired connection. I’ve also noticed there is no Ethernet Cable on the Arris router. Should there be one?I’m using a CAT8 ethernet cable on both devices. Wondering if the CAT9 cable is compatible with the devices. Do you recommend I reset the Arris Router?I would appreciate it if you could provide me with some information and suggestions to get this matter resolved. Thank you so much. P/N: SBG00DA76950B  

 I have a SBG7600AC2 and I cannot find any documentation on how to see up the LAN. I cannot change the Names on the client list so most everything is “unknown”. Also I don’t know why this documentation is not easier to get to or find. The documentation in the support page has no information about the LAN set up, which I find strange. Anyway right now I’ll settle for the information I need to set the LAN up. 

Arris app not letting me log in keeps saying a credentials update.

I just bought a SBG8300 to replace my old cable model and netgear nighthawk ac1900.  performance of the new arris modem/router is very disappointing.   I get 450mbps right next to the router,  60-80mbps 20-25 feet away,  and 0-20 mbps 30 feet away.   that’s far worse that the nighthawk that’s nearly 10 years old.  is there anything I can do to improve wifi signal strength or it’s just the way the SBG8300 is?

Trying to hook up an Orbi mesh system and was told to shut WiFi off on the arris surfboard 7600 but can’t remember password to turn it into bridge mode. Any help would be appreciated 

I have owned this SBG8300 for a couple of years now and ever since the day I set it up, I have not been able to actually see the ports forwarding details for any ports that have been previously setup. The screenshot bellow shows exactly what I am ever shown when accessing this page. I am able to add ports to be forwarded but I have no idea how to ever disable or edit them once they’ve been added since the information isn’t displayed regarding the current forwarded ports, even though they do exist.. It’s also important to mention that I have even tried using both of the Android apps that are on the marketplace and provided by Arris and I was unable to see the currently set ports being forwarded on there either.  Software:Software Image Name:AR01.01.139_050119_701.NCS.10Firmware Version:01.01.139.NCSRDK-B-LLC:rdkb-2.1-20161219SDK:7.0

My Arris G34 has been deemed defective by Xfinity. Their technician checked all of my cables inside and outside and they all have strong signal. The Surfboards light is green and flickering and there is no wifi available.  My warranty runs out Feb 28th, 2024. I need to get this done quickly, as I also have no security system because of this and there's been a lot of break-ins and thefts in my neighborhood recently.

I am looking to purchase the G54. The location will be on the main floor of my house, but my office is on the 2nd floor. Is there an extender I can connect to the G54, so I can access an ethernet connection in my office?

My Arris Surfboard router one day decided it didn’t like my password. I’d like to set up a guest account.  Any way to get in or should I just buy a new router?
