G36 internet drops everyday. Force restart.

Every day I lose Internet and forced to reset the G36 and everyday I call my ISP and they say it's nothing with their service. Even go through troubleshooting steps of connecting via Ethernet, but it's getting tiring.Has anyone experienced this and is there a solution or am I just out $300?

In Surfboard central app, how can I see connected devices on secondary wifi network? Arris G36

I created a secondary 2.4ghz wifi ssid for my security cameras, roomba, etc. to connect to. My devices are connecting, but I am unable to view a list of them while in the Surfboard APP. The only way I can see them is to sign into the GUI interface. What am I doing wrong?

Intermittent internet connection on g36 modem

I bought an Arris G36 surfboard modem and connected it to wow network. At times of the day the modem/router stays connected but Internet goes out I proceed to reset router and I get connection again. I have spoke to my ISP provider and they refreshed signals multiple times and have said their is no firmware update to be had. I even reset the gateway it helped some but it is now repeating this issue is my modem faulty what can I do?

What keeps resetting ONLY the main WiFi password? G36

Every month or so, the “Primary Home” password resets to its default. The other networks and all other settings, including the admin login password, remain intact. Arris support blames Xfinity. Xfinity blames Arris. Will someone fix or replace my G36 already?!?!

LAN DNS Reverts to "Obtained Automatically" G34

I’m having an issue changing my IPv4 LAN DNS to “statically configured” on my G34 router. When I change the setting and set the primary and secondary DNS servers, fill out the CAPTCHA, and then hit save settings, it appears to take. After a couple of seconds, the screen refreshes and its back to “obtained automatically”. The software image name is “Edited personal details” and the firmware version is “Edited personal details”.

Best substitute to G36?

It's pretty clear now that Arris G36 is a massive frustration to several customers. I can not have satisfactory use of my Xfinity 2 GB connection.So my question is, instead of this dumb piece of plastic with bad tech inside and worst customer service, what do you folks suggest as a good modem wifi? Because this one is going to the trash can tomorrow.

Slow internet speed with G36

I recently bought the G36 and have been having issues with receiving my full plan speeds. I have 1gb speeds from xfinity. I would receive 1100+ mbps wired with their modem (xb7) but with the G36 if i get lucky it can pass 700.I contacted xfinity they said all is good on their end. Anyone have any tips to increase the speed if possible. Thanks

G34 with Xfinity - performance issues

All,I bough in December 2023 a new Arris G34 for my Xfinity 800Mbps service ( I replaced my SBG6580 after 12 years of service).A couple of issues:After I placed in production the G34, I checked the Software Version.It was Firmware Version:01.05.020.04.01.NCS. But after a few weeks, I noticed that my G34 is running “Firmware Version:01.04.028.01.01.NCS” . Is it normal for xFinity to downgrade the G34? I’m running Firefox 126.0 but I’m still getting the message on the G34 UI console - the version of Mozilla Firefox you are using is unsupported. Your Gateway's web interface has been tested to work with the minimum version: 63.0.3. For the past week, I have Internet connectivity issues ( 40% loss in Teams calls, my VPN client is keep disconnecting, the Verizon LTE Extender direct connected to the G34 LAN port can’t build the IPSEC tunnel , etc). In those moments, the G34 direct WEB UI access ( 192.168.0.1) can’t load completely and I can’t login to the modem to check the stats. The solu

Intermittent speed issues on G34

Recently upgraded to the G34(Cox ISP), ever since upgrading my internet speeds have drastically fluctuated. They will be around 500-600Mbps, and then drop and stay around 30Mbps.I experience the speed Issues on my Phone, Work PC and Personal PC. I’ve speedtested both PCs and both experience the same speed fluctuations. I’ve done the standard troubleshooting of power cycling, and reconnecting all cables. I’ve tried both Wifi and Ethernet connections both experience same speed fluctuations.I’ve spoken with Cox and they don’t see any issues with the signal/service they are sending.Tried checking the Modem settings through the App which is not super useful. I haven’t changed any of the security settings or anything, so they are all stock at this point.Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated

G36 not playing nice with Asustor NAS

I recently upgraded to the Arris G36 and my WiiM streamer can not see the NAS DLNA anymore. I used DLNA to stream from my Asustor 5202T NAS to my WiiM streamer on the old router. The Asustor NAS has plex, emby, and its own DLNA and separate UpNP servers running. These always showed up on my WiiM and even my Heos device prior to switching to the G36. I know DLNA is not being blocked overall because I turn DLNA on for my laptop, which is on WiFi and it will show up on the WiiM. Also the Emby client and the Plex client are able to connect through their own protocols to the servers on the NAS. This leads me to believe the G36 is somehow blocking the Asustor NAS for DLNA/UPnP but not servers from other devices. I am hoping this community can help me out. Steps I’ve tried: enabling UPnP on the router turning off the firewalls on the router turning off security to open the network But at the end of the day it seems to be some special problem between DLNA of just the NAS and the G36.
