G34 | G36

Went online, logged in and changed paswd.  Now I can't get back in using my new password.   Password online and the app don't match.  It's a G34 modem.  Any ideas?Thanks

Serial number and model number, that I entered, do not match; but they do-I checked numerous times.  What do I do?

Using the surfboard central app to set up the router and it keeps failing “WIFI Communication Failure” Error 0000-1614. It’s super annoying because I want to see what my password is to access the online GUI to change the network name a password, but the app (apparently the only place to find this password, how ridiculous) is stuck in this infinite loop of trying and failing to to set up the router 

Tried to access Surfboard Central website to see if there was any info on putting my G36 modem/router in bridge mode to transition to wi fi mesh system. Website will not let me access saying “website insecure” “go back to safety”. and I can’t find any instructions to perform this task. Any idea’s?

I have a G36 that the normal LAN ports stopped working. The 2.5 port does work but the other do NOT.I need warranty support to fix it. How do I contact them??

I can’t register this product as there is no longer a support website. What gives? 

Surfboard combination modem-router model G34, Windows 10.I go to 192.168.0.1 to bring up the page.  The message “Your Firefox is not up to date.  You must use 63.0.3.”   My Firefox is much newer than that:   138.0.4, 64 bit.I try both “admin” as well as the name of my local network.  Neither user name works.I use for a password the Wi-Fi Security Key found on the bottom of my Surfboard.Either way, it says “Invalid Login Credential.”  What’s really idiotic, is that it will not give me a hint how to fix the problem.   I think Surfboard help stinks.

I need to update my SurfBoard Wifi Modem please?

Does anyone know why or have any suggestions as to why this portal takes forever to login to?  Surfboard app as well trying to access GUI through it.  When I make changes it takes forever to complete.  I have already factory-reset the router three times.  I have never had this much trouble.

Purchased G34, I set up without the Mobile App and it is working with Ethernet Cables, but no wifi is being broadcasted or shows up in my list of wifi available. Is the app needed to set up wifi?

My HP Photosmart 6520 printer will not connect wireless to my G34. I enabled “allow all” on my filters and I manually added it using the MAC address and it still won’t connect. 

I have a G36 with Xfinity, purchased in 2023, been working fine. Two or three months ago, started noticing connection issues, everything would be disconnected from the WiFi network, I could restart it remotely through the app and it would start working again. The odd thing, is that it always says “your device is connected” in the Xfinity app, and their tech support says they see no issue.it’s been happening more often, and now when restarted, it often shuts the WiFi network down again after 5 minutes or so. Can’t always do it in the app, have to go upstairs to unplug it. Ethernet cable plugged into desktop, that network goes down the same time as the WiFi. Had Comcast reprovision it, and a tech came out to check, signal strength is showing no issues. Also have tried the factory reset button. Didn’t help. the odd thing is my wife works from home, and after weeks of dealing with it in the evenings, she had her first issue during the day. I want to change my wifi password, i’m fairly certain i left it as the default PW, but when i try to change it all i’m met with is invalid password. It doesn’t tell me the PW requirements it doesn’t tell me what is invalid or anything, and i have no way of finding out what the current password is. Can i get some help?

Got my G36 up on X-finity only to have it intermittent loss of internet connection.Reading the threads it looks like this is an ongoing issue with G34 - 36 for over a year. Reverted back to my older Arris, plan on returning my G36, and research if Netgear has same issues.

Hello,I am hoping the community can help answer the challenge I am having with the Xfinity Stream app and my G34. I have worked with Xfinity to set up my G34, and my internet is working. However, the Xfinity stream app is not working. Here’s the situation.G34 is set up with Xfinity, and the device is showing a solid blue light G34 is providing internet, both Wifi for the home and Ethernet - hard line connection to my TV (Samsung 55” QN90C) Xfinity stream app is loaded on my TV and can be launched I can watch saved programs within the Xfinity app However, when I try to play live TV it fails and I get a TVAPP-00101 error Please note my iPad, and cellphone with the Xfinity app work with no issues Additionally, the Xfinity app on my TV was working with the prior device, Motorola MG7550 I have spent hours with Xfinity and they’ve ‘re-provisioned’ my device, uninstalled/reinstalled the app, and ha

After activating my G34 modem I went to 192.168.0.1 to change my password and checkout the interface.  Now, a couple days later, I am unable to log in with my new password.  I get the message-invalid log in credentials. I’m sure my password is correct-what I changed it to.  User name remains admin.  What do I do?

I have to reboot everyday or my download speeds are as low as they can go

I just bought a G36 yesterday, activated it on xfinity last night and multiple times today it has lost connectivity. Sometimes, the modem shows it is connected and has DNS and IP from xfinity but none of my home network PCs or devices have internet access. Other times it shows connected (solid blue light) yet I can’t get on the internet or even access the admin page to check status even though I my PC has wi-fi connectivity and can ping the management IP of the gateway.I’m tempted to return this and go back to my old modem.Is this thing really a piece of garbage or am I missing something?

New G34 WIFI 2.4 and 5.0 both appear in mobile devices (laptop, iphones) WIFI settings, but no internet service is actually provided.I have: connected to GUI and GUI show devices are connected. connected via mobile app and ethernet. Modem is activated by Xfinity (Mediacomm) and they see it. Tried rebooting x3 - no change. Tried factory reset - no change.Bad WIFI Router? About to return this overly-expensive model...

Hello, the G34 is not and I don’t believe has ever connected to my iphone. I continually get the spinning/loading ball when I’m just 2 feet away from it and the speed test I have done using an app called Speed Smart is showing very very low download and upload speeds. I called my internet provider and they say the signal is fine. I’m not great at all this technical stuff either. please help. I took screenshots but I don’t see where to upload them.  

I’m considering purchasing the G34 Wi- Fi cable modem.  Will I be able to download the app to my desk top computer?  I don’t have a smart phone.

I have a new G34 wifi router. Some of my devices hook up to 5G but my iphone, ipdad, and macbook only hook up to the 2.5. My Xfinity speed should be up to 600 but only getting around 34.
