Extremely slow after connecting 2nd satellite

Once I connected the 2nd satellite system my TV would tile, and when working the picture was fuzzy. My laptop was getting approximently 40mb.  I unplug the 2nd system everything works again but I am only getting around 140 down and 300+ up. I’m no good at netwroking what so ever so I am at a lost.Can anyone help determin why it would be so damn slow? Thanks in advance

Error Code 0000-1602 while set up the mesh system - w30 and w31

There’s no documentation on this error whatsoever making it impossible to fix. Cannot get the network configuration step to succeed over the application. Terrible product, only took 2 months for this router to fall apart. Attempted a full factory reset but it simply fails repeatedly to set up the second time through. What is this error code, what does it mean, how do you solve for it?

W31 stopped working

bought 2 months ago, worked for a month, went on vacation, came back, and now it just flashes yellow, sometimes goes to blue for a few moments, then back to amber, etc. I’ve tried rebooting, even the reset button, same results.Seems like a lemon.

mAX Pro W31 trying to add 2nd satellite

When trying to add a mAX Pro W31 satellite I get the the registration part and the app kick me out and closes.  I check the app for updates but the app is up to date.  Any body know why I can’t add the satellite or why it kicks me out?

W130/W30 website blocking capability

Hello, Is there any way to be able to block specific websites from a W130/W30 AX7800 mesh router? I have looked everywhere in the app and could not find it. Also, I wish there was a way to manually place a bandwidth limit speed per device as my kiddo is eating all of it watching streams, even when he's set to the minimum of "normal" per the app.

Where can I send my w31 for refurbishment?

I had a W31 go bad and got a refurbished replacement. Now I want to send my bad unit in to get refurbished. I can’t find anyone that does that, everybody just sell the “refurbished” units.

adding extra satellites

I need to add more than 3 satellites to my system.     however, the app won’t let me do that.    Is there a way to work around this?current system consists of a modem (sb8200) wired to w31.  This is then wired to a w30 and this is then wired to another w30.    By “wired”, I mean connected via Ethernet.     The distance is rather long between the satellites and my home is old with lots of interference in the walls.     I have a 4th satellite that I want to add but can’t figure out how.     what about upgrading the modem to a wifi capable one and then moving the satellite that is currently connected to it, to a different location?    I still think I will need 4 satellites…any thoughts?

Android Surfboard Central does not save configuration

Hello. I'm trying to set up the Surfboard W31 router. I'm using Surfboard Central from the Google Play Market (the latest version) for the setup, and my mobile phone is a Samsung S22+. I don't have any problems with the initial setup. However, the Surfboard Central app simply doesn't save the settings, and after exiting, it suggests going through the initial setup again (which would require resetting the router settings). What should I do?Yes, i tried to reboot the phone :) - no luck.

2.4GHz Network and a 5GHz Network W130/W30

Does the MaxPro also support two separate wireless networks. Most of my devices do just fine with smart connect, but I have one door lock that will only work on 2.4 and will not work with smart connect.Thanks

network slows to crawl when another satellite is connected

I have frontier fios and the minute I added the satellite my speed dropped for all devices. The TV would either freeze and if working the picture quality was choppy. My laptop was only getting approximently 40mb. When I unplug the system speed comes right back up.  The make it sound like “Plug and Play” but that is obviously not the case :). I know about networking as a rock :) Are they any tech documents that I can review on this issue.Thanks for your help.

Is mAX W30 compatible with S33?

Just upgraded from a SB8200 to S33 modem and my mAX W30 mesh router doesn’t seem to connect. Turned off the mesh device, unplugged other ethernet devices, tried 2.5 and 1.2 ports (I know, 1.2 has to be turned on by Comcast / Xfinity). Surfboard Central mobile app does not list w30.Do I now have to upgrade my router / wifi?

add satellite function not working W130/W30

When trying to add my w31 satellite in the app, once I get to the first screen the next button does nothing. I have tried multiple devices with the same result. I have even reset both routers and reconnected the main device successfully. It appears that the add satellite function is just not working. Any ideas of what to try or is this a bugged app issue?

What is with the “back office”?Attempting to create network and add satellites to my W31 -- I have internet via the W31, just insufficient coverage. . . Is there another way, other that SURFBoard Central” to configure my network?. . .

Max Pro AX11000 LED light too DIM

I have three (3) Surfboard Max Pro AX11000 devices.  Two (2) I purchased several years ago and the blue LED status light rings are too DIM.  I went into the app and pushed the slider all the way to 100%, but they are still too DIM.  I rebooted them and the LED is nice and bright during reboot, until it reaches the blue LED at the end when they suddenly are very DIM again.  The third unit that I recently purchased has a nice bright blue LED light.  Any suggestions on how to get a brighter blue LED light, so I can easily check the status in a well lit room?

W130 - not connecting via Bluetooth

I am trying to reset my W130 router that I have previously set up.  I am using a Samsung Tab A to do so.  It is literally sitting next to the w130 and I am getting the 0014-1202 “Bluetooth Connection Failed” error.  Bluetooth is turned on the tablet and right next to the router.  I am using the Surfboard Central App.  I remember when I first setup this router 3 years ago, I had similar problems getting it setup.  I don't remember what I did to get it to work.  What should i try to get this to work again?

Mesh reset max pro W133/W31

I lost power and internet. When the power came back on, the internet came back on, but not my wifi.  I tried unplugging my Main Max and also tried re-booting it via the app, but nothing work.  I still got a red light.  Then I went for the reset button, and now I have a blinking orange light. Now I can’t figure out how to “re-install” the system. I tried removing the device using the app, but it is still there, and when I try adding a new device, the mAX Pro is not even listed as one of the options.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks

W31 Power Adapter Replacement?

Hi y’all,In a random turn of events, our power cord to one of our routers stopped working today. I’m looking for a replacement. I’m sure this question has been asked before but I couldn’t find the answer. My setup is specifically model W31. I was going to go grab one off Amazon but I couldn’t find any that said 100-120V for the input - they were all 100-250V. Full disclosure, I don’t know beans about electricity but I *do* know that I really don’t want to screw up my router by sending too much power to it. … if that’s what input even means. Anyway. I’m sure it’s probably fine and I’m just being overly cautious, but I wanted to ask people who likely know more than me about this stuff. I did read where someone said to take the cord to my local electronics store to get a replacement, which I can do tomorrow, but if I can Amazon something and not have to go anywhere, well then. w30 router appears offline in app but is working online

Does anyone know why, in the app, the W30/ax7800 router and satellite both show as “offline” in the app but are online and working with devices connected to them?  The app is also showing that its connected in limited remote management mode but the device connecting to the app is on the wifi only with cellular turned off, does anyone know why and how to solve?  Modem is Spectrum internet docsis 3.1; Hitron Technologies EN 2251.   Thanks(ps I posted this previously and mistakenly indicated it was solved but it is not solved yet)
