Well now.  Is everybody with an Arris happy?  Probably not.  Like the saying goes, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all the people all of the time.”  Yea, I got fooled, but only for about a week. I bought an Arris G34 DOCSIS 3.1 to replace a perfectly good DOCSIS 3.0 that was no longer supported by my Internet Provider.  I reviewed a dozen or so sites (like CNET, PC Mag, etc.) that review and rank combo modem-routers.  The Arris G34 was consistently ranked at or near the top of nearly every review.  So, the choice was obvious – Arris G34.Following the setup procedures (including contacting my Internet Provider) I had the G34 setup in about 30 minutes.  Great, it was much faster than my old 3.0.  The base G34 ‘seemed’ to work very well, that is until I tried to connect it to my wireless devices.  It connected solidly to my TVs.  But, unfortunately (for Arris [and me]) it would not connect to my printers or any of my other devices (including 2 devices

My S33 modem was working great. Then 2 days ago I went to access printables.com to find something to 3d print. The site wouldn’t load. This was curious because I could stream netflix, apple tv, youtube, prime, and my son wasn’t experiencing any lag on Marvel Rivals. To add to the issue, I could access the site just fine from my cell phone connected to the same network. I finally punched in the ip adress to my modem and found in the event log a  Timing Synchronization failure with a date of 1970. I checked with the ISP and the issue seems to be isolated to my house so I either have an issue with a coaxial connection or my modem has a problem. This begs the question, is there a firmware update for the S33 that could resolve this? Is my S33 on the brink of failing? I believe the timing synchronization issue is what’s preventing me from accessing certain websites but I’m not certain.

Model arris SBG10 telling me my log in credentials have changed. Please help, I cannot access the menu for the update. 

When I activated my ARRIS router way back in 2019, I gave it a custom USERNAME and PASSWORD. I tried logging in today using the two I chose, or at least wrote down. It will not let me in. I tried the factory default (username: admin and password: password) No go. My question is...is there anyway to reset my logon username and password without doing a factory reset?

I just bought a g34 modem. I contacted my internet service provider to activate it and it is activated. The light on the modem is flashing orange. I am trying to connect it with the surfboard app and the app says the light needs to be solid green. The internet via Ethernet cable is working. The WiFi is working. Why is the light on the modem flashing orange and not solid green?

Outages happen on a fairly frequent basis for a few minutes up to around an hour but, the last couple of nights it's been for around 6 hours or more.It is not my equipment.I have tried bypassing my router.Connecting the Motorola SURFboard® SB6121 modem directly to my computer.I have also tried another working modem. The lights on both modems act the same.            Green ON: Indicates power to the modem is properly connected            Green ON: Indicates a downstream (receive data) channel connection            Blue flashing: upstream (send data) channel            Not lit: No Internet connectivity            Blue flashing: computer/router is connected to the Ethernet 1000Base-T modePeriodically the lights indicate a checking sequence,            Green             Green            Green            Green flashing            Blue flashing  then returns to the combination stated above indicating no Internet connectivity.After about 6 hours or more the lights return to normal:           

I have been trying to install my new G54 modem, and it will not activate. The light is red, then flashes green then goes solid blue. Then after couple minutes it starts all over again. I have rebooted the modem several times. I have activated it on Xfinity network I am assuming but will not go online. Is there a problem with the modem? The app says to call support, but without Internet, I have no phone service. 

hi there surfboard people, my Arris svg2482ac is working, but, the battery backup is not. I’m told not to invest in another battery. The prior battery replacement purchase was a dud, with no returns allowed, thanks Amazon. I’m looking for a replacement router (Arris or non-Arris) that has the same features, telephone jack, battery backup, compatible with Xfinity. Can ya help me? TIA

Hello all, In November I purchased a new home along with an Arris G34 Modem Router Combo. Setup and activation went fine. I noticed my garage and the opposite end of the house had weak WiFi. I purchased an Arris VAP2500 access point to place there. I ran a network cable to the garage and hooked up the access point. In connected devices in my G34 the access point is listed and says online. My problem is I can’t login to the access point. Even before hooking it up I couldn’t get in. A WiFi search on a laptop and iPhone in the garage list the VAP2500 as a choice but I can’t join. all user names and passwords that came with it and searched online don’t work. My home system password doesn’t work either. Should I trash the VAP2500 and go with something else.Thanks

SBG10, I’m locked out. How do I get past that?I can't remember my login or password. I have also done a factory reset. used admin and password to try and reset new password but tells me my old password is wrong or says error try again

I have the G34. I set it up about three months ago. I logged back in about six weeks ago to edit the Wi-Fi broadcast name. I went to log into the router yesterday and the password that I used initially and six weeks ago no longer works. I also noticed on that login screen that the router has a “primary home“ a “secondary home“ and a “guest“ network. CONTEXT: I have only logged in via 192.168.0.1, not the buggy surfboard app.Question 1: I don’t recall the router having a “secondary home“ SSID before. Is this normal and I just am not remembering it?Question 2: Any explanation for why the password that was used successfully twice suddenly doesn’t work anymore other than tampering?Question 3: Instead of doing a full reset to gain access to the router, is there a “forgotten password” option so I can preserve and investigate any logs or see what is occurred recently?

SB6190 not approved by Spectrum but packaging says it is. Is this a spectrum issue or false advertising!

I have a wifi system based on an Arris SBG8300. My Open Sprinkler (running a Raspberry Pi, I think) has a controller that connects to the routher encode to use a url of 192.168.4.1 It fails to connect. (times out). I presume this is a setting on the rother that rejects addresses like this. Suggestins? 

I’m using a W31 as my WiFi router with 2 W31 satellites.  All three are using channel 11 for the 2.4GHz band which is causing a great deal of signal interference.  How can I change the channel?

Hello all, I need your assistance please. I factory reset my Arris G36 router/modem to default login : admin/passowrd. When I attempt to reset it up, it only prompts me to update the password. When I try to login in with the new password: admin/new password. It says invalid credentials. I input modem/SN on the support website and it tells me my warranty expired last year. Does this mean they will no longer provide me with support for my product? Please I am in desperate need of your assistance.  Thank you for your time.     

Installed this modem about 3 weeks ago. According to the installer and now Comcast tech the modem has burned out already. Reinstalled the old modem which was working but I wanted to up my internet speeds. My question is how to proceed under warranty for get a replacement?  Thanks in advance. 

I bought the G34 modem and got all the wires situated correctly with the router and the wall, but the setup app for the G34 is unavailable on Android devices. How can I complete the setup?

Can you please tell me how to log in to the Arris SBG 8300. I got it about a year ago and never set up an account and want to locate the devices that are connected to it and change the password. 

One of the posts for fixing slow wifi says that the automatic mode puts you on the most congested network in your neighborhood . I am trying to wrap my arms around this because I always thought that automatic selection would put you on the channel with the best RF stats like power, signal to noise or  carrier to noise ratio. Does anyone know what is behind the covers?
