I am having problems with my G34. I have it setup with the primary wifi as default name. I have the secondary wifi setup with a custom name. The guest wifi is not used. For some reason the modem will quit broadcasting on the secondary wifi. It will not even show up on the list of available networks.If I go into the setup my setting are still there. Power cycle does not fix it. The only way to make it work again without a factory reset is to disable both the 5ghz and the 2.4ghz. Save the settings. Then go back in and enable both 5ghz and 2.4ghz. Then the modem will broadcast the ssid and work again, This happens every week to 10 days.Any clues as to why this is happening? Thanks Bill

I recently created my home network with the W133 mesh system. I would like to add one more mesh router to the system. Can I purchase a single W133 router or do I have to buy the system with 2? Is there another mesh router that would be compatible with my W133 system?

IntroductionFor starters, I live in an apartment complex that only has one ISP available (Cox). I purchased a SB8200 and a TP-Link ARCHER AX20 for the upgrade of service I was getting through cox. Number 1 Red Flag: The mobile app (SURFBoard Central).. I mean what a waste of time. This app serves no purpose other than showing you a email link to download a desktop app named “Fing” like who cares lol.Number 2 Red Flag: Upon reading the user manual, you can see the LED status screens on the front:USER MANUAL​​​​The plan for my internet is set to utilize DOCSIS 3.1, however the LEDs on the front all line up for 3.0. Troubleshooting:Obviously, restarted the modem Checked connections Use proper cables Interface Status Screen Side note: what a pain it is to get to this screen. First, you make it so difficult for one to obtain information about your products. Why? No chat? I have a Xfinity XB1 which supports a LAN line, internet (speed 300), TV and wi-fi. Do you have in stock and how much dollar wise a DOCIS 3.1 cable modem router? I am a senior!! Please provide a detailed response 

I bought a new Canon printer because my old one (10-ish years old) worked on the wrong mghz level. How do I connect my new printer to the modem?I’m having trouble with other stuff too, like the SimpliSafe alarm system and Honeywell thermostat. Please advise. 

Replaced an older Surfboard with a new Surfboard and the new Arris iPhone app doesn’t facilitate syncing the two. Any suggestions or help making them work together would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to change my wifi name and password. I no longer have the software that came with the router. I have attempted to change my settings by entering my IP address and Router IP into a search engine, but I am unable to login in with my username and password. How can I change my wifi name and password? I am also unable to login to the surfboard app to change settings that way.

Hello, I need some help with my G54 modem.Network: My G54 will act as my bridge, my UDM Pro will handle assigning IP addresses to devices. I will be setting up VLANs on a switch and I’ll be using mesh nodes for AP (replacing repeaters.)Issue: When I enable Bridge Mode on my G54 and restart it, my connected Router does not recieve a WAN IP, only a LAN IP.  When Bridge Mode is disabled, I have both on my UDM Pro router. I have been factory restting my G54 to recieve internet access/connection when this fails.When I connect my laptop to G54 (in bridge mode) my laptop is assigned a 169. IP but when I connect to the Router (while G54 is in bridge mode I get a 192. IP, but I do not gain internet access.)Troubleshooting attempts: I tried cloning the MAC address assigned to my laptop, it recieved from the modem, to my UDM Pro’s WAN1. (in the app.) It was unsuccessful.  I tried to manually push a working IP address. Awful attempt. Unsuccessful. I called my ISP and asked them to enable Bridge mo

My internet drops out intermittently (usually for a few seconds at a time, but VERY often). I’ve power-cycled both router and modem. I checked and have the latest firmware upgrade for my router. How can I explore to see if I could be having a problem with my modem? Thanks for your advice!

All of my devices are hard wired. Can the WiFi be disabled, or does the router not broadcast if there are no devices connected wireless?

Doesn’t seem to be an easy way to request RMA.Surfboard S33v2, already registered, amazon purchase less than 2 years ago.Spectrum internet, lost connection, multiple power offs and tried reset button.When powering on, green light immediately comes on and stays on, doesn’t blink or appear to attempt to connect to spectrum.  Multiple reboots same result.Purchased new S33 and quickly activated new modem and new modem is working fine.Request replacement on old defective S33.

Spent a lot of time on this and you have no number to call, not starting out well.  Xfinity says they do not support the s34.

How do I change WiFi name and password ?

Hello,I have a client who recently had Comcast install a new cable modem (CBR2-T) and this broke their credit card machines.  Long story short the new Comcast Cable modem cannot forward different incoming requests on different ports to different internal hosts on the same port.  The old cable modem could do this!  Basically, I want to do this:78.100.200.50:6000 → 192.168.1.10:600078.100.200.50:5999 → 192.168.1.11:6000(IPs are for example purposes only and not real)The Arris G54 is listed as an approved Comcast cable modem and before I have the client purchase it I want to be sure the port forwarding will work as I described above.Thanks,Jerry

Modem does not appear to be powered up.  No lights on modem.  No internet. Last night we had some power outages.   Could that have caused the problem?  What do I do?Any help appreciated,Rich Markovich

I have W121 MESH that I tried connecting. First W21 I tried connecting as main didn't connect for a while even after multiple resets. After 30mins the LED turned off completely and not sure if it is dead. Second one in the set I am able to connect as main and tried connecting the one with no led as a satellite but no luck. Is it dead? When I try to reset the LAN and WAN light glows and turns off. No issues with the power adapter. Please advise.

Hi. G34 working perfect , I try to connect the App get thru all the steps , then says can’t connect to WIFI . Briefly kicks me off WiFi then send trouble shoot code. I tried to troubleshoot, everything looks good on my end thanks  

I am beyond frustrated here. To preface, I have the worst ISP possible - Zito Media. I honestly feel like Zito is the culprit but they refuse to provide any useful information. I own this modem and intentionally bought it so I could drop the rental Zito modem. I want to access the web manager to alter settings as needed. However, I cannot get into my modems manager. 192.168.100.1 just gives me a “hmm...can’t reach this page” message. Ipconfig tells me my default gateway is 192.168.4.1 (which doesn’t work either of course). I tried to reset the modem and for a very brief 2 minutes I was able to get into the manager but as soon as it reconnected to my ISP the manager connection terminated and displayed the “hmm...can’t reach this page” message again. Please help!

Can you make your parasitic app work and just let me change the name of my router this has been weeks and every step I follow just blocks me for no reason from either logging in or even just connecting to the thing.

Just got the g34 router trying to setup the mobile app I did activate it with xfinity have internet using the WiFi the app says it’s connected to router but when a little box pops up saying setting up mobile app another screen pops up saying lost connection to router even though I am still connected to router on WiFi and have internet I have tried hard resetting the router but get the same thing 

I have the G36, got it in august 24. It worked fine for about a month and then it started having problems where it would physically restart 2-3 times a day. Then in december it seemed to have fixed itself, and up until early february it worked fine. However now the router doesnt even restart itself and it just kicks off the internet for 5 of seemingly every 10 minutes.

I’ve had my cable guy come out. I’m connected to the cable/internet . I’m trying to set up modem/Wi-Fi and cannot get it connected to my PC with ethernet cord.

Title sort of explains it. I'm wondering if there's a way to see the devices connected to the guest network. I'm using the Surfboard W130. Everything else has been somewhat easy to manage, but I'm trying to ensure my smart lightbulbs are using the guest network as opposed to the main one.
