T25

I have a T25 modem that my A/V contractor installed (so I wouldn’t have to pay Xfinity a monthly rental).  I’ve tried YouTube and the internet. shown online does not work

I see 2 different T25’s with different specifications. Are there 2 versions? On older one and an updated one?I see one with “32 downstream x 8 upstream DOCSIS 3.0 channels, 2 downstream x 2 upstream OFDM DOCSIS 3.1 channels” & 2GB max speed, and another with “32 downstream x 8 upstream DOCSIS 3.1 bonded channels and 2 downstream x 2 upstream OFDM channels” with with up to 10GB speed, without any mention of the DOCSIS 3.0 spec.What’s the difference?  Hardware, firmware, or something else?  Thanks!

My surfboard T25 suddenly stopped connecting to internet and all modem lights are constantly ON even after I restarted and resetted multiple times.

Xfinity just raised my upload speed from 25 to 100, yet I do not get the higher speed, even after restarting the T25.  Should the T25 be able to support 100 UP?  Is this an Xfinity issue?  As usual, XFinity is brain-dead on this topic.

No dial tone 

I recently installed a new T25 modem at home. Everything seems to function OK but when I try to login to the Web Manager at 192.168.100.1 I get a 404 Not Found error. Does anyone have any idea what I’m doing wrong?

I’ll try this subject again.  The front panel leds on my T25 panel are so dim  they almost appear to be non functioning.  They only way I can confirm is the unequipped telephone line 2 is several shades of gray darker than line 1.  They may have been that way from the beginning, but can’t ever remember seeing a lit LED be so dim in brightness.  Just wanted to know if this is normal.   

Sorry IFCR, not ICFR.  Though I am having no issues, my ISP (Xfinity) was looking at my modem on their end and are stating:“that the IFCR is too high. Download app but there’s no install info for the T25 model ? 

New Arris modem, t25, on Comcast cable. Power, cable, Ethernet & phone lines all connected. Internet/Wi-Fi work fine. No dial tone on phone? Suggestions.

The modem lights on my T25 are very dim.  I remember them to be much brighter.  They also look amber in color.  Has something been done to cause this?

How do I get my T25 out of bridge mode? I can log in using 192.168.100.1but I don’t see that option. If I perform a factory reset will that do the same thing? Once in standard mode, can I go through my new switch to get wired and wireless devices to the internet from XFinity?

I have been dealing with this issues for quite sometime. And comcast is trying to implicate that there is nothing wrong with the lines yet these error messages are very specific in what's happening. The tech arrived today to tell me that the lines are okay. But the presence of the error codes he could not tell me why they was showing other than the issue is on the modem. Which is a classic move for Comcast. I am asking the community if they have experience this phenomenon. What is the solution? 

Periodically the modem won’t display the caller ID on the phone, just says incoming call.  Ate the same time the voice on the phone call becomes scratchy.  Reboot modem and all is well for a while again.

I am on my 3rd Arris T25 install in the past 3 weeks. Each install works, shows on the Xfinity app as connected, but randomly resets with loss of connection for 2 to 5 minutes each time.Can go several hours without a drop, then drop randomly between 5 minutes and 30 minutes between events.System was working perfectly with the Xfinity leased voice/wifi/cable modem. Nothing changed other than replacing their modem for the purchased T25 non WIFI unit, .I have always used my own WIFI router.  This driving me nuts and no support from Comcast other than trying to send a tech for 100 bucks / visit to analyze my end.. As an engineer, replacing a perfectly  working system/modem with another modem means my system is 100% normal, unless the spec on the Arris T25 is remarkably different from that of the Xfinity modem. As the T25 is approved for use by Xfinity, what the heck is going on?Thanks

Hi every time I try to refresh the network on the app it just shows me the fing advertisement and then I press later and it doesn't do anything. 

Just got a T25 for the voice support (the SB8200 did not support voice) - the BlueGlobe service is just too expensive - got it connected and had to call Xfinity and get everything straightened out…First, I cannot figure out how to connect to the T25 for the Web Manager… I’ve been searching the web and trying to add a route in my router (running DD-WRT on an older Belkin unit F7D7301 model) with no luck - I am not a noob with tech, but some things are still a ‘head scratching’ moment to me… Need more info about my situation? Please ask…Secondly, and this might be solved once I get web manager access, is that the T25 seem to ‘drop’ data service at least (haven’t tried voice calls yet when data is out..) once a day. DISCLAIMER: My T25 was just installed Friday 5-19-23 and today is Saturday 5-20-23..

I already activated a T25 with Xfinity and is working well so far.I want to update to any available firmware version, but can’t add this model to Surfboard Central app, as I did with my old one SB6190.Any clue how to do it?Thanks! 

I pay for 800mb and I get 300mb I have a nighthawk R7900 any ideas to fix this?

I bought this house 2 years ago and I hired an installer to setup my wifi as I was moving from out of state and wanted things setup before I got here. Otherwise I consider myself very tech savvy as I was previously a network admin at a large international law firm, and I would have done the install myself. We have Xfinity here and he suggested outright purchasing a T25 modem instead of renting. Having previously owned a Surfboard modem when I was on Optimum for nearly 20 years and having almost no issues it, I said that would be fine.  It was working flawlessly up until about 2 months ago. I work from home and during business hours, I can not have down time. I use a PC and laptop, both of which are hardwired to a TP-Link Archer C5400. I had a 2nd Archer A20 hardwired to the C5400 operating as an access point. One day, suddenly, my entire house lost internet connectivity, nothing hardwired or wireless was able to connect to anything. I rebooted the C5400 thinking that was the issue b

Just activated my t25, but the ethernet ports are not working.   Did I miss a step?

I own Surfboard T-25 Modem. I am paying for 1000 MBPS thru my ISP. The best speed I have been able to get thru speed tests is 400-450 MBPS. ISP said everything checks out on their end.When I connect laptop to Ethernet port on Modem I receive Unidentified Network Connection so I am not able to test the speed there.

I am unable to access the admin page using the LAN IP address 192.168.100.1 as it says site cannot be reached. Also when powering up xbox it tells me to connect to the internet. I am hard wired to the router and it says NAT type is unavailable.

Purchased new T25.  Using successfully with Optimum internet.  Trying to log in to modem (to change DNS).  Does not open welcome page to change admin credentials.  Goes directly to status page.  Holding reset button for 20+ seconds did power cycle only???  software version 11.02.142, so not “after 11.02*****” which supposedly restores factory settings with held reset button. How do I restore factory settings and set up credentials?

Bought a t25 supposedly compatible with optimum, but was used for xfinity.  Optimum could activate it, but no phone ot internet worked
