Wi-Fi Modems

Connected to Spectrum, Activated modem, but now can only connect to certain websites. Google-  mail and news are ok, as are a few others.  Others sites like MSN, Steam, and most video sites if they do load,  buffer and stutter. this happens on all devices attached to my network, ethernet and wi-fi. very frustrating.

I have the Arris G36 and the wifi connection constantly drops all day. When wired in, I have zero issues. Comcast also came out and tested signal strength and it’s within the range of the speeds I purchase (gigabit internet). What can I do to get consistent WiFi out of this VERY expensive modem/router combo? It is super frustrating to have my work calls go in and out all day long. 

My SBG10 keeps dropping WiFi. If I reboot it it will come back up, but it’s been doing it a lot lately and I called my cable company and it not at their end. I think it’s a problem with the modem. Any ideas?

As stated: SBG7600AC2 usb not recognzing 250GB drive.   It does recognize 128GB (both sandisk thumb drives).  Is there a limit to the drive size?  Can you suggest another solution to this? Also, the links to consumer carehttp://arris.force.com/consumers/articles/knowledge/SBG6950AC2-USB-Media-Sharingdoesn’t work.

Well now.  Is everybody with an Arris happy?  Probably not.  Like the saying goes, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all the people all of the time.”  Yea, I got fooled, but only for about a week. I bought an Arris G34 DOCSIS 3.1 to replace a perfectly good DOCSIS 3.0 that was no longer supported by my Internet Provider.  I reviewed a dozen or so sites (like CNET, PC Mag, etc.) that review and rank combo modem-routers.  The Arris G34 was consistently ranked at or near the top of nearly every review.  So, the choice was obvious – Arris G34.Following the setup procedures (including contacting my Internet Provider) I had the G34 setup in about 30 minutes.  Great, it was much faster than my old 3.0.  The base G34 ‘seemed’ to work very well, that is until I tried to connect it to my wireless devices.  It connected solidly to my TVs.  But, unfortunately (for Arris [and me]) it would not connect to my printers or any of my other devices (inc

Model arris SBG10 telling me my log in credentials have changed. Please help, I cannot access the menu for the update. 

I activated my g54 modem and the light stays solid blue, but I don't have internet access! The technician came to my house and said that everything is ok on their part!

How to change G34 Modem router default SSID and password.

TENGO un equipo recién comprado y no se conecta. No ay apoyo técnico. Cuando llame en la tarde apoyo tecnico no me asistio el empleado no habla español no ay traductor no cuentan con ese servicio . Su ayuda es únicamente en ingles. Y les pregunto...Como resuelvo esta situación.  Que hago para poder conectar el módem.  A l podría ayudarme ?

I just bought a g34 modem. I contacted my internet service provider to activate it and it is activated. The light on the modem is flashing orange. I am trying to connect it with the surfboard app and the app says the light needs to be solid green. The internet via Ethernet cable is working. The WiFi is working. Why is the light on the modem flashing orange and not solid green?

I have been trying to install my new G54 modem, and it will not activate. The light is red, then flashes green then goes solid blue. Then after couple minutes it starts all over again. I have rebooted the modem several times. I have activated it on Xfinity network I am assuming but will not go online. Is there a problem with the modem? The app says to call support, but without Internet, I have no phone service. 

Hello all, In November I purchased a new home along with an Arris G34 Modem Router Combo. Setup and activation went fine. I noticed my garage and the opposite end of the house had weak WiFi. I purchased an Arris VAP2500 access point to place there. I ran a network cable to the garage and hooked up the access point. In connected devices in my G34 the access point is listed and says online. My problem is I can’t login to the access point. Even before hooking it up I couldn’t get in. A WiFi search on a laptop and iPhone in the garage list the VAP2500 as a choice but I can’t join. all user names and passwords that came with it and searched online don’t work. My home system password doesn’t work either. Should I trash the VAP2500 and go with something else.Thanks

SBG10, I’m locked out. How do I get past that?I can't remember my login or password. I have also done a factory reset. used admin and password to try and reset new password but tells me my old password is wrong or says error try again

I have the G34. I set it up about three months ago. I logged back in about six weeks ago to edit the Wi-Fi broadcast name. I went to log into the router yesterday and the password that I used initially and six weeks ago no longer works. I also noticed on that login screen that the router has a “primary home“ a “secondary home“ and a “guest“ network. CONTEXT: I have only logged in via 192.168.0.1, not the buggy surfboard app.Question 1: I don’t recall the router having a “secondary home“ SSID before. Is this normal and I just am not remembering it?Question 2: Any explanation for why the password that was used successfully twice suddenly doesn’t work anymore other than tampering?Question 3: Instead of doing a full reset to gain access to the router, is there a “forgotten password” option so I can preserve and investigate any logs or see what is occurred recently?

I recently started using this device on 03/23/25.  I have Spectrum Internet on the 1GB plan.  This Modem/Router keeps dropping the WiFi Networks constantly for no reason.  I replaced my Netgear Modem/Router for this device and feel I have made a  mistake.  I was looking to see if there was a firmware update but everywhere I look, it states that my ISP does the firmware update.  I call Spectrum and they state that they would not do the Firmware update as the device is owned by and I would have to update the Firwmare.  With that being said, there is no option in the GUI to update the Firmware or anywhere on the Internet to find the any Firmwares for this device.  Please help.

I have a wifi system based on an Arris SBG8300. My Open Sprinkler (running a Raspberry Pi, I think) has a controller that connects to the routher encode to use a url of 192.168.4.1 It fails to connect. (times out). I presume this is a setting on the rother that rejects addresses like this. Suggestins? 

Hello all, I need your assistance please. I factory reset my Arris G36 router/modem to default login : admin/passowrd. When I attempt to reset it up, it only prompts me to update the password. When I try to login in with the new password: admin/new password. It says invalid credentials. I input modem/SN on the support website and it tells me my warranty expired last year. Does this mean they will no longer provide me with support for my product? Please I am in desperate need of your assistance.  Thank you for your time.     

I bought a new G36 on eBay. The cable modem works great with Xfinity. During setup you are asked to select your ISP.  I guess this is added with the newer firmware. If you log in to the web interface, go to Advanced then ALG and check if SIP is disabled, if not, uncheck and then save.

I bought the G34 modem and got all the wires situated correctly with the router and the wall, but the setup app for the G34 is unavailable on Android devices. How can I complete the setup?

Wifi no longer works! Bought this in 2024 September from Amazon. Keeps on kicking out. Any suggestions?
