Connected G34 it show up on my WiFi on my phone and all devices but no internet.

Hello I tried accessing the management interface by entering 192.168.1.1 in my browser, but the system prompted me to enter a serial number. I entered the serial number on the device, but it kept saying it was incorrect. Yes, I tried using the default username and password, but the system still asked for the serial number. I used a paperclip to hold the reset button on the device for about 10 seconds until it restarted. Then, I tried logging in with the default username and password. The issue still persists after the reset. Please help me resolve this problem.

I bought a new Canon printer because my old one (10-ish years old) worked on the wrong mghz level. How do I connect my new printer to the modem? I’m having trouble with other stuff too, like the SimpliSafe alarm system and Honeywell thermostat. Please advise.

I would like to change my wifi name and password. I no longer have the software that came with the router. I have attempted to change my settings by entering my IP address and Router IP into a search engine, but I am unable to login in with my username and password. How can I change my wifi name and password? I am also unable to login to the surfboard app to change settings that way.

Hello, I need some help with my G54 modem. Network: My G54 will act as my bridge, my UDM Pro will handle assigning IP addresses to devices. I will be setting up VLANs on a switch and I’ll be using mesh nodes for AP (replacing repeaters.) Issue: When I enable Bridge Mode on my G54 and restart it, my connected Router does not recieve a WAN IP, only a LAN IP. When Bridge Mode is disabled, I have both on my UDM Pro router. I have been factory restting my G54 to recieve internet access/connection when this fails. When I connect my laptop to G54 (in bridge mode) my laptop is assigned a 169. IP but when I connect to the Router (while G54 is in bridge mode I get a 192. IP, but I do not gain internet access.) Troubleshooting attempts: I tried cloning the MAC address assigned to my laptop, it recieved from the modem, to my UDM Pro’s WAN1. (in the app.) It was unsuccessful. I tried to manually push a working IP address. Awful attempt. Unsuccessful. I called my ISP and asked them to enable Bridge

All of my devices are hard wired. Can the WiFi be disabled, or does the router not broadcast if there are no devices connected wireless?

Hello, I have a client who recently had Comcast install a new cable modem (CBR2-T) and this broke their credit card machines. Long story short the new Comcast Cable modem cannot forward different incoming requests on different ports to different internal hosts on the same port. The old cable modem could do this! Basically, I want to do this: 78.100.200.50:6000 → 192.168.1.10:6000 78.100.200.50:5999 → 192.168.1.11:6000 (IPs are for example purposes only and not real) The Arris G54 is listed as an approved Comcast cable modem and before I have the client purchase it I want to be sure the port forwarding will work as I described above. I bought an Arris G34 about a year ago and have had mediocre internet assuming it was the ISP because I live in a poorer neighborhood. I recently finished a remodel and had all new COAX installed ( RG6) through out the house to include two CAT6 lines to every room. It wasn’t till I got a roommate who complained about constant internet drops and high ping spikes that I investigated more. My signals are good and this was confirmed by Spectrum. My ping is all over the place and this is confirmed by two different stability tests. Some spikes are over 1,000 ping. Spectrum does list this router/modem combo as approved Spectrum has also issued the most recent firmware for this product. I am aware of the PUMA CPU lawsuit and issues with the Intel PUMA CPU. These ping spikes are reflected on both Ethernet and Wifi for all products connected to this modem/router combo. Hi. G34 working perfect , I try to connect the App get thru all the steps , then says can’t connect to WIFI . Briefly kicks me off WiFi then send trouble shoot code. I tried to troubleshoot, everything looks good on my end thanks

Can you make your parasitic app work and just let me change the name of my router this has been weeks and every step I follow just blocks me for no reason from either logging in or even just connecting to the thing.

Just got the g34 router trying to setup the mobile app I did activate it with xfinity have internet using the WiFi the app says it’s connected to router but when a little box pops up saying setting up mobile app another screen pops up saying lost connection to router even though I am still connected to router on WiFi and have internet I have tried hard resetting the router but get the same thing

I have the G36, got it in august 24. It worked fine for about a month and then it started having problems where it would physically restart 2-3 times a day. Then in december it seemed to have fixed itself, and up until early february it worked fine. However now the router doesnt even restart itself and it just kicks off the internet for 5 of seemingly every 10 minutes.

I recently sent my last Arris G54 in because Xfinity said it didn’t work (after about 7 months of working flawlessly). After receiving a replacement, I setup another Xfinity Tech Appointment. The Tech took almost an hour trying to get the replacement to work, but it also can’t get a signal. Could it be that the replacement Arris sent me was also defective? Or is Xfinity trying to swindle me into paying for a rental? At this point, I don’t know what to believe.

I’ve had my cable guy come out. I’m connected to the cable/internet . I’m trying to set up modem/Wi-Fi and cannot get it connected to my PC with ethernet cord.

I returned/refused delivery on a modem on February 5, 2025 and confirmed receipt of product by Arris on February 19, 2025. I was told to expect a refund within 2 weeks of 2/19/25. I called on 3/5/25 to check on refund status and was told it was expedited and I should receive email confirmation. No message received. I called on 3/6/25 and was again assured it was expedited and I should receive a phone call. Still waiting for a phone call. In spite of confirming my email address multiple times, I have never received an email, not even confirmation of my original purchase on 1/31/25.

App won't connect/register the wifi router for G34

I have an SBG7580-AC wifi gateway running firmware {edit : personal information} (Xfinity is my ISP since a few months ago.) Does this firmware version correct the WPA2 security vunerabilities exploited by KRACK or do I need to acquire another wifi gateway model that supports WPA3?

I have a G-36 DOCSIS 3.1 for about 14 months. It’s been working FAST on Cox. However, the past few weeks it’s dropped speed from 550MPS to under 30MPS. COX says it’s an old, outdated modem and want to sell me their own. WHAT? I need to be able to customize port forwarding and other features that if I get a COX managed modem I won’t be able to do that. Is there a firmware updates for this modem? I have read that the updates are ‘automatic’ and some folks experienced a downgrade in performance. How can I tell if my G-36 updated the firmware and what revision should it be at? If NOT, then what’s a good replacement that won’t be obsolete in 15 months?

Does model SGB8300 have a port to support a phone cable connection to connect our landline phone with our home security system? An ethernet cable was included in the box but I’m unsure of what it is used for.

I want to turn off the wireless Arris G36 Modem so I can connect to a Linksys router?
